There. That is it. I can't hear it, I can't see it!

TGIF my O-zies! how are all of you today?

I am ok. Slept pretty good, I woke up once but was able to get back to sleep after a while. Having another yummy cup of coffee. Gary has been so god-awful sick inthe mornings, I told him to sleep in and I would get Cait off to school today. he didn't want too, but I was able to talk him into it.

Yesterday was really exciting and kind of a bummer at the same time. The filmmaker came by and we got to see some of the documentary. We saw Scott speaking a bit, and OMG-- he speech was horrible compared to what it is now. Speech issues are one of the neurological symptoms of Lyme- stuttering, word finding issues and the ever so funny random word substitutions. Everyone has these on occasion, but a neuro-Lyme sufferer has this in debilitation ways. (I even get this a lot when I type which can be amusing at times). We were all shocked to hear him speak. I guess it is like when you don't see your own baby getting bigger b/c you see him/her every day but someone will come to visit a week later and be amazed how much they have grown.
Scott still has speech issues but the difference between then and now was stunning and in some ways, pretty frightening. I think when you are living it, it is harder to see it all, but a video clip brings it all into focus.

The other ironic bit we happened to see is when I was speaking and I compared Lyme to cancer- I had said that no one would ever think that cancer was good, but that it is so difficult to get "recognition" (can't remember the exact phrase I had said)- with a cancer diagnosis. For ex. No one would say to a cancer patient that they were faking it, or that they looked to good to be sick, or to think positive and you will get better.
My family all looked at each other, since this was a year before my cancer diagnosis. I told the filmmaker that now having to deal with both diseases, cancer was a walk in the park. Again, my cancer was not the same as someone with lung/pancreatic/colon Late Stage, so I am not referencing that part. But my treatment as a cancer patient-the ability to get medical coverage, financial assistance, understanding from the medical profession- extremely different than as a Lyme patient.

The bummer was that he wasn't able to film me. He had run very late, not realizing how *big* my town is. heh!! The bummer wasn't that I didn't get filmed but that I blew my hair dry for NOTHING! bwuhahaha!!!

What is up for you all today? I have to pick Cait up from school as she is bringing home my electronic grandbaby today.
Other than that I have some stuff piling up on my desk that I really need to deal with and then-- I want to hang out here.

Have you seen this?? :: Oscraps Birthday Under the Big Top ::

hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

good morning - Hooray Spring has arrived but Winter does just not want to let go. I am expecting around 4 inches of snow. But with the sun out tomorrow it won't last long. Yesterday was busy first grocery shopping, lunch, then a good walk with my girlfriend and then dinner. Where did my scrapping time go? I made a Pioneer Woman recipe Orange Chicken. It was so good. My husband liked it but then my son comes home and he says you know I don't like oranges. I am thinking no I don't know that. LOL. But he said it had great flavor and crunch if you like oranges. Oh well. Now today I really don't have anything to do. I may try to walk before the snow starts.

Chris that is so interesting about Scott and his speech problems. I am glad it has gotten better. Talking to the film maker must have been interesting. Sorry you DH has been so sick. Hope he feels better soon.

Sharon so glad the hair cut turned out well. Interesting to me since I don't golf that your husband was nervous on how his clubs and he would work together. Glad he is happy. I have been so interested in hearing your struggles with PSCC. Now I am sure I will just stay with PSE.

Trudy what a game between the Senators and Bruins. I don't know what has happened to the Bruins this year. Hope you did not get too much rain. I am sure having a visit from friends we be awesome rain or not!

Jean I don't watch March madness but all the upsets were all over the news. From what I heard there were 11 million brackets submitted to ESPN and only 5000 are left that are perfect.

Have a great day all!

Hey there again, I have a few minutes to kill before I head over tot he Phamacy to figure out why there were no Rx's to pick up yesterday when there should have been several. Plus pick up the 6? 7? that got dropped off yesterday. Yippeeeee! *throws confetti and dances a little jig*

Nancy- this weather is killing meeeeeeeeeeeee! (oops, I guess i forgot that i was :lalala:-ing)

My kids do that too. All of a sudden Cait doesn't like salted caramel, after eating almost a half gallon of salted caramel frozen Greek yogurt. *eye roll*
Hope you have a great day and that the snow somehow passes you (and me!!!) by!

From yesterday

Nancy- that is really cool to be taking one of Anna's classes. I am sure they are helping you get so much more out of PSE!
Getting the message out-- There is a Take the Bite out of Lyme awareness campaign going on social media- literally take a bite out of a lime, and Cait and I are going to do that together.:yuck::high5:

Shar- yay for good hair! That makes *no* sense to me that LR/PS would not play nice together. Thank goodness you were able to cancel your trial in time.
I bet that your G-DS's will both be chattering non-stop-- my two are very very talkative at this point. Wonder where they get it from? hmmmm....

Trudy- this weather is the pits! So sorry that your friends are getting stuck in the rain all week, but I bet you will have a nice visit. I hope that the rain doesn't make your deck/windows all muddy after you worked so hard to get them clean.
SIL's lunch- I am sure that I read it completely backwards- I do that a lot- so have a great time tomorrow!:)

jean- did you guys watch any B-Ball?
How neat to scan your old slides, especially since you are so plugged into the genealogy bit. I want to go through my photos and add names and dates to their metadata, so future gens can see that info.

Ok, it is 9am, and the pharmacy is open! Off to ... figure stuff out.

xoxoxo!

Did you hear my heavy sigh and shouts of joy all the way on the east coast? I'm back to my old set-up (CS 5 and PSE Organizer), and I L O V E it! It just WORKS! No hassles. I have a mountain of tagging to do, but hopefully this will be the last time. I'm going to back that catalog up in 5 places so it never gets lost or wiped out again.

We get to hang out with Clara this morning, so must run. May get back later.....

PS: Ordered my swimming outfit last night...a swim Tshirt and Bermuda length swim shorts! Of course the top won't be delivered until the end of April!

Morning ladies... TGIF and all that! Hope all of you get to join us for the Birthday Party starting tomorrow, but we all can get dressed up for it in the Avatar challenge today https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31077

Chris - Wow that must have been a bit upsetting seeing your young man having difficulty with his speech like that! I know when Heather was so sick I got used to her slowed, slurred speech, but anyone that came to visit were shocked by it! Thankfully it has greatly improved over the years! Sorry you did not get to be on camera, but I bet you looked great with your hair all blown dry! :becky: I will have to take a gander at this take a bite out of Lyme thing! Hope your DH is feeling a bit better today!

Nancy - DH was glued to his computer, but when I did not hear any cheering going on later in the game I knew the Bruins were not playing like they used to AGAIN!! So DH is a bit disappointed and is pouting now :pout: LOL he will get over it! Your dinner sounded yummy! Tell your son to bend over so you can kick him in the pants for not appreciating your hard work at preparing him a beautiful supper!! Kids!!!! :becky:

Sharon - Glad that you are happy to be back to your old system of scrapping!! It just seems so much easier!! I see you have already gotten another page done, I really have to hit the gallery sometime today, but I have been very busy with prep for the Party here. Hope you get to do all the fun stuff planned for the next week! I saw a woman wearing a swimsuit like you ordered the other day! Very cute, I bet it will be comfortable too! But that is a long time to have to wait for the top?? When had you planned on starting to do the swimming?
Have fun hanging out with sweet little Clara today!

Jean - Hope you got to watch some basketball yesterday and that today you have something fun to do!!

Waiting for a Skype call from DD this morning, no swimming today it is just too crowded with Spring Break happening, extra swim lessons for the kids and they take the lap lanes away from us for it. Hopefully everything will be nice and quiet again next week! Need some more coffee and then downtown sometime today to look for a new top to wear to the birthday lunch tomorrow. Have a fun Friday everyone!

I'm here in the evening again! This time I didn't get up until late and had to scurry to be in time to pick up my sister for a Dr.'s appt. Dr. doesn't know what is up with her and so is scheduling a biopsy of a strange "thing." After took her shopping. Now trying to catch up and have stuff to do before tomorrow's genealogy meeting. At least we didn't get any snow that might have come. So now it is Happy Spring - officially at least.

Chris, how startling it must have been comparing speech then and now. Glad he has improved. Wish you didn't have the knowledge now about the different treatment of cancer and Lyme, but you now know you were right. Hope Gary gets to feeling better. Wish your Rx could come by mail as ours do. Keep ignoring that weather - it really will get better!

Nancy, sorry you're getting the white stuff. What a way to greet Spring. I agree, give DS a kick in the pants for raining on the orange chicken dish. It sounds good to me. Lots of bird activity today and I heard a Song Sparrow at my sister's.

Sharon, way to go ordering the swimwear! That is going to be wonderful. I'm sure you will have had a good time with Clara, at least I think so. And using the programs that work for you certainly sounds like a winner.

Trudy, sorry DH didn't have the Bruins come through. Glad we don't care much who wins the basketball games, but it was nice that Ohio State came through. We saw the end of their game in OT on the computer. Of course next they play Arizona which can't be good. :-? And I think your circus avi is fabulous! Hope I have time to play as it's always fun.
