Happy St. Patrick's Day to all you crazy Irish people.
th

That includes my SIL- very very Irish (Kathy Kelley, just a tiny bit Irish hee hee) and my hub's side of the family. Not me, I am Italian through and through.
The irony is that my maiden name was Iantosca. Now my SIL is Iantosca and me-- I am a Campbell. My godson has *my* name of Chris Iantosca and that sometimes trips me out. I want my Italian name back :D

Do you ladies celebrate St P's day in Canada? Leave it to the US to make any type of day into an eating and drinking extravaganza.
I have my corned beef and cabbage ready to go in the crock pot tomorrow. The kids are having a small get-together here while everyone is home for Spring Break so no point in cooking that just for Gary. I can't decide if I will have any or not. I don't eat beef but I do like corned beef... I think I had a little bit last year with my potatoes.

Yesterday was another "lost" day for me. I went food shopping, came home, did some regular chores. Wasted time.
Today I am going to clean a bit down here so when the kids get here the downstairs doesn't look as bad as it does right now.
I feel terrible that I have been so MIA from the party here.
This is how I feel most days:

Hope that all of you have clear-headed and focused days so you get everything done you need to so you are ready for a fun weekend! (How's that for a run-on sentence?)

Nancy- what a shock to your system to go from AZ to here. We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow. Hope that you don't.
Aw, how sweet that Luther was so happy to see you! That is such a rewarding feeling. :pupkiss:
Hope you were able to nap a bit too.

Sharon- I think that the party has been a lot of fun too!

Trudy- Were you able to make it to the pool? Part of me imagines it would be good to go and stretch the muscles out, the other part of me say No way!
My fingers are crossed for good weather for your son. Your kids must be so happy to see each other. Hope that you get a happy Facetime party together.

Rae- High fives to Darrell for the new cabinet idea. Hope you find a good one. Is Jen all settled in?
WTG on the weight loss! That is incredible. I have been eating so much crap and it is getting to me. I always gain some weight over the winter, but it gets harder and harder to get it off. B/c I am so short, even a couple of lbs makes a difference.
You are awesome and I am thrilled at how good you feel!

Hugs and love to all!

good morning - This is so funny - I thought I woke up at 7 but I forgot my bedroom clock is not set forward so when I came down stairs I had lost an hour. I am off to get my hair cut and colored. It so needs it. My Devils defeated the Flyers last night 6-2. Wow what a fun game. The Flyer fans were shocked as were the Devils fans LOL. My son got all his IKEA furniture put together and is now officially in his own place. But coming back for food this weekend and to do his laundry. Too funny! But it was amazing to not have him wake me up. My DH was up helping him so he is still asleep - he did not get back until 1:30am. He is a good dad. Today is just getting laundry done and some grocery shopping. And start scrapping. We don't really do much for St. Patricks day.

Chris have a good day! The weather switch is crazy! But the temps in the sun were not too bad and the wind died down so it was not that bad. What is bad is having to find gloves and hats and coats.

Trudy that hike sounds amazing. Congrats on being sore and getting it done. Hope you made it to the pool.

Rae congrats on the continued weight loss. Glad that Jen is settled in so well. And a new cabinet will be fun. My DH is suffering from sinuses problems too. That is the pits.

Sharon nothing to do is fun!

Have a great day all!

Happy Saint Patricks Day everyone!! Yes we Celebrate here in :canada: too, especially here on the Island as the majority of the population is either Irish, Scottish or English descent. I am about 30% Irish so I guess thats enough to be considered Irish right? No real big traditions at our house. My son-in-law Jonah (1/2 Irish-1/2 German) however is a big fan of green beer and my son Jason loves his Guinness ! I am sure they will be celebrating together tonight when they arrive at Heather's (DD) Mason is so excited to see his cousins and his Uncle and Auntie, wish I could be there to witness it!

Chris - No pool for me yesterday, by the time I got off FaceTime with Heather and Mason and then my sister and her granddaughter Bella showed up and had lunch with me, it was too late to go. (wow that was a run on sentence now wasn't it!!) LOL Feeling not so stiff today so that is good. Sure hope your snow melts away quickly and that the forecast for more snow is absolutely WRONG!! I have been bad for not being visible here at the Party also, seems like there is always something else dragging me away.

Nancy - How great that your son is all moved in and that your DH has helped our with the move so much! He is a good Dad! Hope to get a page done about the hike and perhaps a few others done today too! I bet you have some great pages coming up from your recent trip too! Enjoy the quiet mornings no one to wake you up early LOL. Nice that your son will still come home even if it is to do :washing:

Rae - My weight loss is certainly slower than yours but slow and steady is ok with me, so far its 7 lbs. in 14 days so not bad, but I have lost inches too so that is nice! How nice that you will get a new cabinet and that you were able to help out your DD! Hope she is loving her new place and is all settled in! Get your work done early today so you can come and play at the Party!!

Good morning, ladies. Taz had a bit of excitement this morning. I was getting dressed after my shower and heard this bloodcurdling screech and howl from the kitchen so came running out, thinking that something terrible happened to Taz. I come running into the kitchen and my hubs is laughing, Taz has every hair on his head sticking up and is vibrating and jumping. Darrel said Taz just watched a cat walk all around our porch, watching thru the window in the door. We let him out and he spent about 10 minutes flying at warp speed back and forth, all over the yard. We were killing ourselves laughing. I wonder if he thought it was Noel coming back LOL. So that was our entertainment this morning LOL.

We brought the cabinet over to Jen last night. Her place is jam packed with stuff everywhere. She is going to weed thru it and give some to Bailey and charity. She has too much for her little apartment. Her new furniture looks good but unfortunately she wasn't thinking size and space-wise, so the couches are a bit oversized for the room. She doesn't care though. I need to make her a curtain to hang across one shelving cabinet that she has kitchen stuff in so it'll look more tidy and private. I'm not much of a sewer but I think I can manage that. I'll have to go to the fabric store and look for grey/blue fabric. She loves her little place and once she's all organized and unpacked I think she'll like it there.

Today I need to organize my office a bit and set up a workstation for a friend that is coming tomorrow morning to learn some digi stuff. We are photography friends but now she wants to also learn digi so she can make cards. She's taking the Anna brush class too but is totally lost in it. It'll be fun to work on some digi stuff with her tomorrow. I also want to watch wk 3 video too before she comes so we can talk about it. It's been a great class. I was a bit skeptical about if I would learn anything b/c I'm fairly knowledgeable about brushes but am so glad I decided to take the course b/c I am learning stuff and I should trust that Anna knows so much and there is always something to learn from her.

Chris - lots of my friends go out for green beer and celebrate SPD but we don't (my Irish/Scottish ancestors must be cringing right now LOL), Scottish on my mom's side and Irish on my dad's side. Hope the kids have a fun celebration at the house. I love corned beef and cabbage! Haven't had it in years. I don't think Darrell likes corned beef. I also used to love Reuben sandwiches (corned beef and sauerkraut with thousand island dressing on grilled bread...yum).

Nancy - isn't it weird to not get woken up in the morning? I still keep thinking I hear Jen walking up and down the hallway and I keep thinking I can faintly hear Noel meow LOL.

Trudy - yes, right attitude, everyone is different on their LC journey and as long as you are not gaining (or not often gaining) that is good. Your body is adapting, you are burnign fat and should be feeling good. My doctor was thrilled yesterday with my 22 lb loss and was telling all the staff and patients that LC is the way to go, if he had one piece of advice for anyone...that would be it. Then he told me to make my husband do it and we both rolled our eyes...knowing that wouldn't happen LOL. FB chat with me later if you have time and I'll give you a few suggestions on how to tweak your plan.

I'm going to get to work now. I have lots of work, want to hang out at the party, get some CT stuff done and get some housework done sometime throughout the day.

Have a great day, everyone.

There was a parade today in New Orleans and one tomorrow as well. Always an excuse to party! We do have alot of Irish here in the city.

This morning my hubby and I ran an errand that took most of the morning, we got home long enough for him to do some work and then join our daughters to a beer at the local pub. We came home and he has been playing his video game with our daughters for several hours! Meanwhile, DD's hubby is mowing the lawn! lol. I just got on the computer.

Tomorrow we have a crawfish boil- yummy!
