Well, hello there, Friday!
What a boring and unmotivating week I am going through. I honestly have done nothing except procrastinate. OK, one thing that I did this week was make my appt with my eye doctor. And I guess the DMV counts too. But overall, my To-Do list keeps on piling up and I keep sticking my head in the sand next to it.
I paid some more bills. Having the 2 checking accounts, for the time being, makes it more than a little confusing to me. Gary's Disability Check won't go into the new account until April and I have set up most of the Auto-Pay to the new account so I have to monitor the balances really carefully. Decided to ignore taxes for another day.
I went to the wake with BFFATS. We hadn't seen each other in a really long time so it was nice to catch up with her. Her daughter is spending a semester in Italy and it sounds incredible. She is going out there for a week and they are going to be going all over Italy. *jealous but happy for her*
Today, Caitlyn and I are going to the Dollar store to buy some poster board for our signs for the March next week. I know what I am going to put on my sign. It is going to say "If I wouldn't allow a [picture of a Lego Gun] in my classroom, why would I want a [picture of a handgun]?
I can't tell you how many lego guns I broke up when I was teaching. It was a lot
Just out of curiosity-- any of you outside of the US, is it common for kids to turn anything and everything into guns? And I mean everything. Blocks, twigs, playdoh, food-- if you could manipulate it, it was a gun at some point.
I think I am going to get my blood done today too, as long as I am out. And I need to drop off some books at the library that are due and maybe see if I can find a new one.
Have a wonderful day!
