Yay for Friday! Or should I say yay for surviving the busy weeks I had? I still have a lot to do around the house but I am getting there.

Phone appt went perfectly, FP was fun- Again, I have to put it out there that the woman that helps me there is the best. What a wonderful person and my heart is grateful. Cleaning was fine. I didn't drop any weapons on my feet as I have done in the past. I even tried to "dust" some of the small crossbows that were getting some cobwebs on the strings. And ... I scrapped a page of the rats. I cracked myself up as I was doing it-- the journaling, IMHO, was spot on. I wrote about the asparagus experience from the point of view of the rats. :pound:

However, my hearts breaks at the news today with the terrorist attack in NZ. :( How can anyone be so filled with hatred?
I am going to need to stay away from the news today, for sure.

I will keep busy by cleaning the main bathroom. I clean some of it regularly (sink/toilet/floor) but the shower is all on Gary. But I am going to need to shower/sponge bath in there since my bathroom only has a small corner shower stall and I won't be able to keep my foot dry in there. See, this is what happens when I go on strike or refuse to clean things that the other people mess up. I end up doing harder work in the end. :mmph: :p

What kind of things are on your To Do List today?

Kay- you are so full of color! Must be the artist in you! Your clothes, your food, all so festive and bright.
I think I was the only person not affected by FB being down. Glad you were able to get your pages posted.
Caitlyn is a Junior and will be graduating next May. (ack!) She is all done with her core classes and is getting ready for an internship one semester and then her "capstone" - senior research project the other. Hence the stressing! I pretty much knew I wanted to be a teacher from the very beginning. My brother struggled with his major. Scott must be on his 5th or 6th major by now, but Environmental Sci has stuck even when he thinks he wants to drop Chem and go Environ. Studies. Lots fewer job opportunities with Studies, however.

Trudy- good for you sleeping late and even better to have Spring-ish weather. We are too!
Gotta take W out, BRB!

She only wanted to sniff the air. I can't say I blame here too much. I would love to crack open my windows a bit today and get some fresh air in.

The hike must have been a good one to get started with again, not too hard. That is so disappointing about not being able to sell locally, but you will do great online/Etsy. *fingers and toes crossed*
What kinds of things does Heather want to take courses in?

Sharon- how is your dog that had heartworm, all treated? What an extreme change-- chaos to empty nest.

Nancy- how was it to have to alone time again? How awesome to have a night out with your friend. Are you feeling almost back to normal yet?

waving hi to all of you--

Hello ladies,
I'm so excited because the new season of one of my favorite TV series -Midsomer Murders- finally will be released here. It is so annoying that we always have to wait, it's about an year late. I rewatched the older from Season 10 to present 20th (it's not so much as it sounds, because british series have only 6-8 episodes per season) . Funny how the format is changed during the years, based on a popular opinion. At first the team was from three men and the female character was the inspector's wife, housewife with many hobbies. In britain was still appropriate one woman to be just a housewife, position that I would love to take! Then they add the daughter which to be a modern woman with ambitions and career. And after that added woman detective, but it was distracting with three detectives, so they decided this with changing the pathologist with young woman, high educated doctor with career. Then the starring team was changed and the new inspector comes with wife with career and not much free time, but for the next season they softened her character showing her expecting baby. All this corporate so much with the mood and speeches of the britain actresses which fights to change the stereotypes at last few years. As a feminist I know I have to suport them, but still I feel furstrated and sad that they makes housewife to looks like something insufficient! The second level detectives are also often changed with new young handsomes men. the official version is that the young actors only want to do some fame before they move on next project. But in many fans opinion the real reason is that this is trick to attach new audience from the youngers watchers. This is kind of sexism too. But outside of this the show is really good!

I was talk about that a lot this weekend  , so one acquaintance mentioned she have the books. I was searching for them from a long time, but they are out of stock and I couldn't find them on the big book sale. She was kind enough to give me to read one of them, actually the second, but that doesn't have meaning for the storyline. I'm so happy! I finally read again! This book final attach me and I read it on one breath! It's not happen often to me to like all characters, even the nasty, narrow-minded or shameless. The format is a little bit different than the show, and have some small deficiencies in the descriptions of the events, which irritate, but the book is totally worth it! I can't wait she to give me the next! Of course as most of the serieses here are translated only 5 of 7 books. I know I repeating myself but this is so unfair!

Poor, Chris, I'm afraid that cleaning never have end. Hope you was able to finish your bathroom without too much stress! I really have to see this lovely layout you are made. I'm not been on computer whole week. We have some serious trouble with our connection and when have net I left my sister to use it, because she work online after all. I used my cell phone, but it's not good for gallery browse with sure.

Trudy, so sorry to hear about the painting sell. Don't let this to discourage you! You still have etsy and local site for interior sales! Ask the Coffee Place what are rules to cancel your date later and if it is acceptable for your income booked it. If you can find artists who to join in one combined exhibition this is also option. Here have small galleries that allows paintings to be left for few months and get commission only after sell, but want to have previous sell or to have publication about you. There is really plenty of possibilities, but want to be patient. Sorry if I repeat myself, I can't remember did I told you this before, but my mom's cousin is painter too. She paint mostly religious icons, but still the market is similar.

Nancy, I'm sure you have lovely time with your girlfriends, surprising them with your fast recovery! Have a fun!

Sharon, this emptiness must be very scary. I often explain here how in my area(not in whole country just in our area) traditionally one of the children have to stay to live with it's parents. They help us caring for their grandchildren, and when become necessary we help whit their health issues. This was tradition who don't left anybody alone in any stage of his life, but the modern way of life ruined it more often, and personally I think this is very sad.

Kay, looks like you have a very interesting week. I'm happy for you!

Wave to all other girls, I have to check back all happened this week that I missed. Hope the problem with my computer will be fix soon and I can be back to normal, especially now when the O party is on a way!! Hugs and kisses!

Morning ladies... I am very late getting on the computer this morning! I was awake at 3am :mmph: so I got up and read for a bit, then DH was up to go to work and I made him some breakfast. Went back to reading my book for a bit longer and decided to try to get back to sleep  Well it took awhile but I finally dozed off and just got up about a half hour ago. Not a very good day for all those poor souls in New Zealand!! My heart is heavy for them all and find it difficult to believe that someone could have so much hatred in them!!

Chris - So nice that you have such a nice lady that helps you out at the FP! She sure sounds like a special person! Glad that your phone appt and cleaning went well, but too bad that you have to scrub out your Gary's tub, but I guess you will want it "Chris" clean for yourself to use! It was a bit disappointing to hear that I would have trouble selling my paintings locally, but its ok I will open my Etsy shop or Shopify this weekend and hopefully that will work out for me. I am really only interested in recouping the cost to do my painting and not expecting to make millions LOL!! (but wouldn't that be nice!!) Can't say I blame W for just wanting to sniff the fresh air, I also would love to open the windows and doors and air out the house!! It's a bit too chilly yet to do that though.

Felis - So happy for you that your favourite show is back on the air! It is annoying how long we all have to wait to continue to watch our shows that we love! But I guess they take a long time to make them too! Glad you got to read one of the books, yes they are always so much better than the shows! Thanks for reassuring me about selling on Etsy etc. I was a bit discouraged at first, but it is what it is and I will continue to look into other ways of selling. It's all good!

Nancy - How great to hear that you are doing so well and finally feeling like life is getting back to normal! I got my haircut and colour yesterday too! It sure feels so much better to not be looking like a shaggy dog!! Bet you will feel good too! Our Bruins have not done well with their last couple of games either! Too many not being able to play :mmph: Glad that your Devils gave you a win against Edmonton, my brother won't be happy though LOL. Hope your day is great!

Well I am still working on a layout that I started two days ago and thinking it might have to be a double spread one. Too many photos LOL, oh well I hope I can get it done today! Have a great Friday ladies! I hope you can do something that makes you smile today!

Chris- you remember everything! The dog with heartworms recovered fine and the meidicine company covered part of the treatment, and although she gained some weight, dog mom here cut back on food just a bit and walked both dogs more and they both lost weight. the one with heartworms lost under 10 lbs. I love to walk them! Heartworm girl was first fraidy cat girl and now loving/slighly fraidy cat!!! amazing transformation for 2 mutts I adopted 3 years ago!

I talked to DD in Japan today. In 1 week she will be home for a visit. Can I say excited and ????how much work will I be given to do since she is here?

DD2 and I are getting together this weekend for a sign for DD1 coming home. It is exciting. Haven't seen my girl in 8 months and she celebrated her29th birthday in Japan. Interesting for sure times!

So Chris- you clean alot? It sure seems like it.
