I hope that everyone had a sunny day like we had here in NJ yesterday. Oh wow, it was nice to get out and about and not be 100% bundled up. I dressed in layers for our walk and didn't need the hoodie. It was chilly at the end of the walk but at that point, I had worked up a sweat. We walked 4 miles. [fainting smilie]. It was a pretty little park with a loop path and mostly flat but that's still the most I have walked probably since the last time I walked with Arlene in the summer ha!! My legs are a bit sore but nothing too bad. Arlene and I were joking when we would see something in the park- it is one of the county parks that Scott might be working at this summer- "what's this about? Just wait until we can ask our personal Park Ranger" hahaha!!!! He and Leah went for a hike in another of "his" parks but this was up by us, was a hike, not a walk, and was still very snowy. Glad that I went where we did.
I don't have too much going on today, I want to see if I can get a page or two scrapped.

@BrightEyes Good luck with the second shot! Is this sister the one that was sick with COVID last year? How is she feeling (whether this is that particular sister or another)? I hope that you both are able to be together this spring/summer. It will be good for you both especially after such a difficult and isolating time it was last year.

Whisky had a very bad case of Giardia when we first got her. She was 6-7 months old, so it didn't affect her body like it did to poor Remi. I am sure that your vet told you those but just in case he didn't, Taz should be getting treated too. I had to treat all three dogs. IIRC, it is a two-month treatment? I will never forget the look and smell of that poop. Blech!!!!! Sending healthy thoughts to her and her GI system and hoping that is all that it is. Nosy question-- did you contact the breeder, any chance there is something genetic/passed from mom to pups? (sorry, I have that "Must Fix It Brain" going on here)

@Cherylndesigns yay for getting a vax appt!! Hope that your weather stays nice and warm for you.

Hello, all. Got my 2nd Covid shot yesterday. WOW... what a surprise. I drove over to the place early thinking I would be early in line.... Couldn't believe it - the line was several blocks long! Turns out the state got a lot more vaccine and notified a lot of people to come for their 1st shots. But, the line moved fairly quickly as they had 8 shot stations working. Had to wait 30 minutes after the shot to make sure I didn't have a reaction (none). But am feeling a few more side-effects this time. Slight headache plus the sore arm and a few aches. Planning on taking it easy for the next couple of days.

Yes, Chris... that is the sister who have Covid last Aug. She just got taken off of oxygen at night this past week. So is feeling like she is up to traveling over here. She has had her Covid vaccine shots already. Talked to her yesterday and we are planning for her to visit me in mid-April. That will be good for both of us. Her son lives 120 miles west of here and he will come down to see his mom while she is here.

Cheryl, so glad you have your appt for the vaccine.

Need to get some breakfast - then heading to either the recliner or bed. CYL

Good morning ladies. I’m so tired and glad its almost the wkend. I was up 3 times with remi last night.

@faerywings I texted the breeder and she didn’t respond so either she knew something was wrong or she is feeling guilty and scared I’ll want my money back, so I’ve not heard from her. Unfortunately, during covid times, there are no reputable breeders around here that have pups. They all have waiting lists of 1-2 yrs. So we took a chance and got remi from a family that said it was their first time breeding and we didn’t get the usual guarantee that established breeders offer. We have no deworming documentation and I didn’t think to ask so I am guessing they never got it done. Yes, Taz and Bella will also get treated. We will start the new treatment over the next few days. Can you tell me anything else about this? Anything I should know? I think my vet said it was going to be a week treatment. You had to do it 2 mths? I’m guessing you have to keep retesting to see if it clears up? But then I read that it doesn’t always show up in the re-test? I’m really confused about this but hopefully my vet knows what he is doing.

If you haven’t watched it, I recommend “Your Honor”. We binged it over the last week and it was a good drama. Good acting and interesting but sad storyline.

I’m hoping to get my computer back this wkend. I have photos I can’t wait to load and hopefully I might even get a bit of scrapping done. This is the longest stretch I’ve ever gone without scrapping.

I’m getting to work now b/c I probably have to get out to the vet later and if I’m lucky, go pick up my computer if it is ready.

@bcgal00 I wish I could help more, but I honestly don't remember too much of everything back when we got her. I know that the Tx was a month apart b/c we got the first dose for her through the Foster Agency and the second one I got from my regular vet. If I think of anything, I promise to let you know!
Did your vet say anything about diet? Can you add some white rice to her food to firm her up a bit?
I am so angry that the breeder isn't calling you back, if for no other reason than to make sure that any other dogs in her care don't get sick!

Rae- just checked my paperwork, looks like my dogs got two doses of Panacur for the Giardia, three weeks apart, and then it looks like fecal rechecks at 1 month and then 2 months post Tx. HTH a tiny bit!

Good almost afternoon everyone! I have been on face- time most of the morning with our cutie pie Hunter. He was happy to be able to talk to his Pops and his Grandma today as my DH has taken the day off. We read stories and played some games and sang the alphabet song as fast as we could LOL. Hunter thought that was lots of fun! . Then I had to quickly get out the door to pick up my grocery order. Got everything I ordered, so nice! This afternoon I am off to the spa for an aromatherapy massage, my Gary got me that for a Christmas gift, so I will be in massage heaven for an hour today! . We really do need new smileys!! I will have to look into how to add them behind the scenes. I got a page done yesterday for one of the challenges, but have not had time to upload it to the gallery yet. Hopefully I can get that done soon!

@faerywings - No the greedy guy was not at the pool and it looked like everyone had to share their lane, so that made me happy! So many are upset that for the next two weeks our noon swim time is being taken over for the kids who are on spring break. Really people??? It's two weeks, book another time of the day!! Gosh what a bunch of whiners!! Most of them are retired, so really why can't you go at any time of the day? Do you really have other places you need to be LOL. I have booked for the next two weeks to swim from 2-3pm. I could not get a spot for this up coming Tuesday, so I have asked my BFF Pat from our hiking group to go on a hike with me to Dodds narrows! It should be fun and so nice to be able to catch up with her again! Glad that you got in such a great walk with your friend, bet it felt wonderful to be out in the sunshine and fresh air!!

@BrightEyes - How wonderful that you have gotten your second vaccine! Sorry that it is having a worse effect on you than the first one though! Seems that is what a lot of people are saying! Sure will be nice for you to have that visit with your sister! You will have so much to catch up on!

@bcgal00 - Sure hope that all these visits to the vet don't break the bank for you, although I know that it will all be worth it! That is maddening that the breeder is not getting back to you, shame on her!! Sorry that you are still not getting much sleep at night, but hopefully you will be able to sneak in a quick nap! Oh DH and I started watching "Your Honor" It really is good, but I am having a hard time not thinking of Walter White while I watch it LOL. Good luck at the Vet's today, hopefully you will get some more info and some good news!

Ok I best get busy and get some lunch for my Gary before I head to the Spa! He will be spending the time while I am gone, cutting the grass. Have a nice Friday everyone!

Yes, we're thrilled for getting our vax appt for Monday or Tuesday.

Trudy, glad greedy guy wasn't at the pool. I'm afraid I would have had to say something to him. SO glad you got to talk with your little guy, Hunter. I miss my little guy so much but he can't tear himself away from his games long enough to talk to his grandma.

Kay @BrightEyes so glad you got #2 even if you had to wait. We found a new doctor yesterday (the first one we retained upon moving here passed away). The new dr thought they had shots yesterday when we were in there, but found out they were out of them. He said we should have both been on the #1 list - being over 65! It's SO nice to find a dr that cares!

I've been busy all day but can't really account for it. I hate it when that happens. Just "busy stuff". Well, I took Daisy on a long walk today - it hit 75 degrees here. I can't believe it. I also had to make 2 trips to download files - that just takes up so much of our time. Yesterday, we attempted to go to the place we normally do the "office thing" and the Sheriff's car was across the road. We pulled up and asked him what was going on. It seems somebody had hit a utility pole and not only were people w/o power, there were live wires down over the road. Oh great! We gave up for the day and went twice today to get what I needed.
