:hello: (Thanks, Trudy!!!)
Happy Friday to all of you! I hope that all of that you have a nice weather day like we have here. Right now it is sunny and mid-50's which is the nicest we have had in weeks. I go from rambling about politics to the weather. I really am becoming a "Get off my lawn" kinda person. hahahaha!
Yesterday was one heck of a day. I watched two hours of the Comey Hearing and it was startling in many ways. I might not agree 100% with the way he has done things in the past but it is very evident that he is completely for the institution of the United States.
I am also following the UK vote which is pretty stunning as well. I am hopeful that the UK/EU elections are showing that they are learning from our mistakes.
But aside from all of that, we have been closely watching Very Hungry!! S/he has been its cocoon for a long time, longer than the 10-14 days it is supposed to take to emerge. We were worrying that maybe s/he didn't make it through the metamorphosis process. But yesterday, we saw that the shape and coloring of the cocoon had changed and today you can see the outline of the wings. It is absolutely fascinating and exciting. I am going to be at my MILs today to help her with some yard work but I really want to stay home and keep watch. Gary has been taking pictures so I am sure I will be scrapping them.
Go, nature!!!
(In case you missed it, Very Hungry is a monarch caterpillar, soon to be butterfly!)
Today is going to be a full day. Caitlyn and I are heading down to my IL's and then we are going to our neighbors' for pizza and drinks.
Wishing all of you a very happy day!
