:whoo:It is Friday! Yippee. More like "Ugh" but what can ya do? I am so aggravated and discouraged and *not* looking forward to spending more time on the phone with my insurance company. Yesterday's saga begins while I was out running errands. The ins. co. called to give me the name of the PT that they would cover since the closest one was 45 mins away. Gary took the info and questioned them about it because this one was even *farther* than the 45 min away one. The ins co said that if I call my Primary Care, they could call the ins co for an out of network referral.
I get home, call my PCP, give them all of the info and they will call me back when it is all taken care of. A sigh of relief that lasted for 10 minutes. PCP calls back to say that they no longer do out of network referrals. Great.

Back on the phone with my ins co. This guy finds a facility about 30 mins away. Definitely doable so he calls to verify that they still take this insurance. That sounds like a deal--Except that the phone number is no longer in use. He does another search, finds the "correct" phone number, calls them to verify that they accept my ins. He comes back on the line to say yes, they do and he gives me their phone number. Now I am questioning him because the area code is nowhere near me.

He insists it is the same PT. I hang up, start googling the phone number. It is *not* the same PT, and it is now an hour away from me. Then I start googling the name of the PT that the guy from the ins co was looking for- and I found the number for the office, called and yup-- out of order. He has another location and phone number. I call that one and leave a message. While I wait for the office to call back, I keep googling him-- he has no online presence. Other than the licensing record that he is, in fact, a PT, there is nothing. No website, no FB page, no reviews on Healthgrades. Nothing. Sketchy, right?
I am still waiting for him to call me back since he never did and I obviously can't find any office hours since he can't be found online!! WTH????

Is it me, or is this very strange??
I am getting a bad feeling, this guy is "off." So my big and fun plans for today is to call my ins co back and figure out what they are going to do about this. Something that should be so simple has turned into a 4-day project. SMDH.

If the weather is ok (it was supposed to rain yesterday but never did and it looks like it might rain today, who knows??) I need to go outside and do the yardwork that I was going to do yesterday afternoon. The bad beetles are back and eating my lilies. I need to get them off of the leaves-- (I have to pick the larvae off by hand- so gross) and put diatomaceous earth down again to kill any that still int he dirt around the plants. And that, my dear friends, is how I will "relax."

Wish me luck while I am :phone: and

Nancy- it turned out to be really nice here too. I was all ready to go out and deal with those lily-killers when the ins co fiasco began. How was your walk with Luther? Oh no- how funny that he needed a bath after chasing the robins. LOL Does he mind the bath? yay for baby robins too!
I would have laughed if Gary dod that with a soda can. In fact, I have done that when he opens seltzer and it explodes. Can't wait to hear how Game 5 went, hopefully, no injuries this time.

Jean- I am grumpy too when I go for my mammos as you all heard me :blah: last week. And to have to work on the estate too, your day was about as fun as mine :/
My LLMD *hates* that I spend so much time outside. She said I am just asking for trouble. But if you take away that from me... not good. So I spray the heck out of myself with DEET and hope for the best. Hope that you are way less grumpy this morning although I can't imagine you grumpy at all.

Kay- yuck- I hate nights like that when you are exhausted but can't sleep. I have my iPod and audiobooks to keep me occupied.
J needs my attention-- BRB- ignore typos
She just wanted to sniff the air. Ahh to be a dog!!
The closest indoors farmer's market is about a half hour away, so unless I am in the area it doesn't make sense to travel. I feel like I would eat so much healthier if the supermarket could somehow guarantee that the produce would be fresh.
Yes, don't let your mammo appt slide. Did your DDs have the BRACA tests done? I did and thank goodness I was negative. Happy Anniversary to DD#1! I hope that she is over the illness- and I hope that your back is better today too.

Trudy- a 7-mile hike-- wow! Good for you! I am lucky if I get in 10,000 steps. I want to take the dogs for walks but neither ankle is cooperating with me. I guess if you had to forget your phone on a hike this was a good one to do that. How nice to get cut and color!
How is Hunter's mood, any less clingy with Heather?

Felis- what a wonderful day! You deserve it! Give Biggie belly rubs from me too, he is a sweetie! I am going to have to see if you posted your LO-- can't wait to see it! One of the pages I did that I need to upload today is a spooky one with Halloween kits so it won't fit in at all haha!

better get going so I can build up my courage and patience for my phone calls....

good morning - well yet again in the Stanley Cup play-offs a missed call led to a goal. The Blues won the game 2-1. The Blues second goal came after the ref did not call a tripping penalty on the Blues player, the Bruins player remained on the ice and the Blues scored. The Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy handled the situation so much differently than the Blues coach Craig Brube when Brube was in the same situation. Cassidy (sorry Trudy) whined about how bad the NHL refs. In the semis against the Sharks in OT a hand pass was missed that resulted in a goal and win for the Sharks over the Blues. Brube told his players the game was over and to not talk about it. The Blues went on to win the next two games and the series. Calls, non calls, missed calls happen because the game is fast and so much is a judgement. But darn you hate to see this be the main topic of conversation after what was a really good game. Now we have to wait until Sunday night for the next game. Made a yummy dinner nothing special just BBQ chicken and mashed potatoes but then they had this salad that I would never had made, brussel sprouts, apples, almonds and a mustard dressing. It was so good. My boys were surprised as the sprouts made this really nice crunch. Had a nice walk with Luther. Today Luther is at doggie day care. Not much on my agenda.

Chris that is crazy about not being able to find a PT facility that takes your insurance. The amount of time you have to spend doing this is crazy. And I don't wish I was you picking beetles off my lilies. Good luck with that. And it seems that it will be a nice day.

Trudy wow a 7 mile hike! You go girl! So sorry about the game. But this may be what the Bruins need to get their top players scoring going. Have fun talking with Hunter and Heather.

Kay congrats on your daughter's wedding anniversary. That is so special. I told some young people that we celebrated 45 years of marriage and they were shocked that any marriage lasted that long. I said marriage is hard and sometimes I think young people just want it to be easy so congrats again to your daughter. Sometimes it is better when you cant sleep to just get up!

Jean sorry you were grumpy! Mammos do that to me but you will be glad when it is done for another year. Hope you weather is better and no rain.

Felis so glad you did have a happy day. have more!

Have a great day all!

I got over the grumpies yesterday and we went grocery shopping so I could make dinner for us to watch the hockey game. Enjoyed the dinner but were cheering for the Bruins, so not as happy at the ending. Today is sunny and should be nice.

Felis, Chris and Trudy, you've all done lovely LOs for the one picture challenge! If you like doing one photo, don't forget the great template challenge. Sorry, but have to get busy before a noon online thing. Maybe later?

Good morning, ladies....was just thinking of you all and wanted to check in.

Chris - sorry to hear you're having problems with the ankle. Hope you find a good PT.

Trudy - wow...7 miles is awesome. I don't think I could do it.

Nancy, Felis, Jean and everyone else...hope all is well.

I've been scrapping lots and enjoying it. We've even managed to get out to the trailer a bit. We continue to see B every wkend but not during the wk, its too far away, but Jen goes during the wk and she seems content there. The staff take her out too which is nice. So, everything seems to be stable for the moment. I think this summer will be much more relaxed than last summer.

Hope you all have a great wkend and I'll be back soon.

Morning, all. Slept in until 8 even though I fell asleep just after 9 PM. Guess the body is still needing the rest.

Chris... can't believe the run-around you are having just to find a PT near by. Yeah... that one sounds really sketchy... would avoid going there. Hope they come up with one for you soon. Yikes... sorry you need to use DEET just to go outside.

Yes, DD#1 had the test and hers was NOT gene related. She is a 10 year survivor now. DD#3 is still getting chemo for hers... not sure if she had the test or not.

Nancy, that salad sounds so delicious. I may have to try it. Yes, there are a lot of long marriages in our family. Parents on both side had over 50+ years - and DH and I had 62 years together. Congrats on your 45 years. I agree that some younger ones think that it should be easy and quit when it takes work.

The back is still talking to me today so it will be another 'take it easy' day. Haven't had a bad spell with it for a few months. Looks like the house will have to have a light 'touch-up' on Monday before I host the Red Hat gals on Tuesday. Glad it is a Potluck so I only have to make the entree and coffee/tea. Had thought about having it on the patio but with all the crazy winds and weather we have been having will have it inside. Just have to decide what purple/red 'western' outfit I want to wear as I have several.

Morning gals... I am late getting in here and only have a moment to say hi and then I am out the door to my Dentist appointment. Just a cleaning, but still not looking forward to it as the hygienist will most likely hit a nerve and I will jump 3 feet in the air LOL. Hopefully the Dentist will not see any more teeth that need to have a crown!! Had a lovely facetime with Heather and Mason and Hunter this morning, it is a day off for Mason. So their house is buzzing with activity as he and his brother play with all the toys and Mason tells me how school has been. Anyway I will try to pop in later on this morning when I get back. I need to post my one layout to the online places and perhaps start a new one! Will be back in a few hours to catch up with you all!

Hi girls!
Uhh, I'm awake early again even it is weekend, but it's because I'm almost not sleep. One of my favorite musicians has a concert and he was post streaming video and updates on every 2-3 hour, so I was constantly check this. Was exciting! I can compare it with important game, just here is less in a long time. :drum:
Nothing other interesting at Friday except that was extremely hot, feels like summer. The others even tempted me with additional evening dog walk, was very nice. But then we found that have Water Supply breakdown. Not as it have good time for that, but this is extremely awkward moment. Fortunately we have big barrel water for emergency case, so we was able to wash your and dog's feet and other parts ;). But without shower not a word to go on grocery or somewhere else, or to do too dirty housework, so all plans for the weekend are mess up, and I plan mostly to sleep, read and try to scrap. Keeps your fingers crossed to fix it soon!

Chris, I was keep my fingers crossed that you'll be able to finalize successful everything with your insurance and PT! It's sounds very complicated and frustrating! Sorry that you have to deal with all this!

Trudy , always nice to hear that kids are in happy mood! Hope dentist to not be too stressful!

Kay, have fun with your Red Hat gals on Tuesday! And you can even take some pics with your red outfit, I would love to see it scrapped!

Rae, such a good news! Bad that B is away, but sounds as it's a nice place, hope this is what she needs! Wish you one stable and boring :p summer! And hope to see you more often here!

Jean, the template challenge is on my list with sure. Great that you was able to got over the grumpies, and hope that you had nice Friday and now weekend as well!

Nancy, I hate when fans start dissect everything and argue each other, and left affront messages to the players! It must be passionate, but also is supposed to be fun. Sounds as you had lovely dinner time!

PS. Hey Chris, any plans to join to #wearorange in support of National Gun Violence Awareness Day?!
I just now learned about it, because it's something American, but we are supported it intuitive today as I was dressed at orange by coincidence :) .
