Daily Ooo's: Friday, June 7: TGIF Edition!!!!

This was actually not a bad week. But I just want to sleeeeeep!!!! You feel me? Its cold and rainy and dark and I am so tired. I was supposed to be working today and my client cancelled. Maybe that is a good thing? I don't know, I would have liked the money. Instead, I get to go out in the pouring rain to my favorite places, BJs and Walmart. Waaaah! I hate those places. But I need to get Splenda and saline and they are both way more cheaper than in the supermarket. And I can stop and get gas at the cheap place on the way down, so its worth the aggravation. I guess.


Please tell me that you all have much more fun things planned for today. And that the weather is nicer than here. Although I guess if you live in the east coast, you are dealing with the rain too.

Laurie- Hi there! I hate movie theaters too for a lot of the same reasons. Add in that I always get stuck behind someone way taller than me (I am 5', so that is almost everyone ha!), and I think it is much nicer to wait for DVD and watch in my pjs under some cozy blankets. Many good thoughts to your Amish friend. Nosy question, I thought that they didn't like English medicine, or is that just a stereotype?

Angela- awww, school pictures... always .... well. My kids' pictures always looked silly and I stopped buying them a long time ago. Scott's Senior Portraits were done and I bought them even though he looked dorky and I know I could have done better too. $90 for two sheets of photos, but how do you not get Senior Portraits. I'll scan them and print them for the family and friends.

Morning O fam! Today- not rainy- heading to an Asian garden tour with some girlfriends. Tomorrow I am going to the fab fifties festival and wineries! Chris- the Amish will use English medicine if needed- but because they pay for their care in cash through community funds (the particular Amish community they are a part of- different sects- just like us) sometimes the community will decide if it is worth it to pay for something or if it is time to come home without the English care. Not sure if that made sense, but that is how it goes.

Morning Chris I am lying in bed waiting for Dd and baby Mason to wake up. Trying to be quiet as I think baby actually had a pretty good night and let everyone sleep!! I have been a busy grandma and I am getting in lots of cuddle time with sweet Mason!! Got photos done yesterday you have already seen one of my favs on my facebook page. Will try to get back in here later to catch up with everyone. Have a great friday!! :hug:

hi, guys!! just a short one from me. don't feel bad about the crappy weather, Chris. we are currently in the middle of Tropical Storm Andrea, and they just issued a tornado watch for where we are.... dunno where you hide from tornados in a house up on stilts. :hurt:
hope everyone's Fiday turns out to be harmless! it'll be good to get back to "normal" on Monday!!

Oh Phyllis!! That is seriously crazy! Hope that the weather calms down quickly. Are the grandmen ok with it all and seeing this as one big adventure? I hope it is not too scary for them. We are just getting the heavy rains from TS Andrea. Water in the basement but that seems to be the worst of it.I bailed on the shopping trip. Crazy to drive out in the rain to save $5....

Good late morning - just got back from having my hair done and picking up prescriptions and hating the rain! Chris it is a yucky day! While over in our neighboring town I found where all the cicadas are hiding. As I walk to the doctor's office I passed all the bushes and the cicadas we all huddled together and not making a sound. Guess they do not like the rain either. They are really ugly with those large red eyes.

WOW hockey has been impressive. One player on the Bruins used his body to block a shot and it broke his leg - yet he remained on the ice for an additional 61 seconds on the penalty kill. Twitter (which I love) went wild with #Iamgregorycampbell - here is the link it is pretty funny - http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter - last night the Chicago Blackhawks won. Tonight I get another Boston/Pittsburgh game.

Phylis stay safe! These tropical storms are no fun! In NJ we have had like 10 inches already this month and now they are predicting 2-4 more.

To bad about the money Chris, but nice to have a bit time off!

We've had wonderful weather, warm and sunny, for me it doesn't have to get warmer than this
We went to the playground, Ben went swimming with a friend and the boys ate 3 icecreams today. I gave them one when they came back from school, then my brother came to visit and brought icecreams too and after dinner the kids got one from the neighbours, a lucky day for them

It's almost midnight here, so I'm getting ready to go the bed, 'see' you tomorrow!
