Happy TGIF! How is everyone today? I hope you are all doing well.
I haven't done any breathing or stretching in a few days so I am going to do a quick one that I am paraphrasing from one that I did this morning on my meditation app that is based on healing and calming the world.
Take a deep breath in and focus on your heart. Imagine a pink light forming a sphere around you that is filled with love and compassion. Then with another breath, extend that sphere to encompass your home and then neighborhood. Keep breathing and with every breath, extend it to your town, your state, your country, and the continent. Breathe that pink light to wrap around the entire world. Fill the space with that love. With kindness. With peace. One more breath in and out.
I wish that this is all it would take but at least it makes me feel a bit more balanced and diminishes my anger and fear.:hippie:

I was able to work outside for a couple of hours. There were still piles of dead leaves against the house on one area and layers of moss on the short walkway. I was able to get rid of the leaves and most of the moss. Hopefully, the next time around I can scrape the rest of it. The walk is made from concrete and slate so I can't really pressure wash it (if I had a pressure washer :) ) It is on my list of things if I win a gazillion dollars that I would love to redo eventually.
The weather was perfect for the town protest march and based on the photos I saw, it was a success. Great turnout for this very conservative NJ town. It was organized by 2 high school students. Like President Obama said the other day, these changes have historically been pushed by the younger generations. Good for them! I still wish I could have been there. But-- guess what? I am pretty sure that isn't going to be the last protest in the next few years.

Today it is rainy which is good because I have stuff that needs to get done inside.

Gratitudes:
-the younger generation with its activism
-the older generations with their wisdom (H/T to President Obama for that observation as well)

Hugs!!!

Trudy- how does it feel to be almost done with your project? What will you do when you are all done- back to painting those amazing fluid art pieces of course! And scrapping and bottling wine and hiking.
That sounds like a really nice day for Mason and all of the water balloons-- the boys will have a blast! Tell him that his Oscraps fam sends him b-days hugs too.
How long do turtles usually live? I don't know if it is still true but used to be that in NJ it was illegal to sell them as pets, I think from salmonella concerns- so we never had turtles here. One of the few pets we haven't had hahaha!! I hope that he is very excited when he gets his and that it lives a long time.

Felis- I think I scare everyone away when I get more political heh. I hope not. I think in the US protesting is viewed differently since that is how we started as an independent country. It is part of our First Amendment rights- freedom of speech, peaceably assemble, petition the govt for grievances. It is an appropriately protected activity (not the looting, and no one I know supports that part of it) and should be encouraged. There are a lot of organizations that are working together for this too.
The rats make me very happy and are doing so well back in the big cage. The hammock is one that Cait made to put in the corner of the cage-- like a little enclosed hut. The little brats (just kidding!) chewed holes in the sides so the could get out instead of the one entrance in the front. And then-- they all squish together. SMH!
I passed the link you sent along to Cait and will do the same for Scott- just the name of the band made me laugh chuckle!
I will have to look for your Disney page!

xoxo

morning - it is cloudy and we had rain overnight and might get more thunderstorms later in the day. I do not know where yesterday went. My DH went off for his Covid test so he can have his surgery on Monday. It will be about 3.5 hrs of waiting and of course I must wait outside. Good thing I love to read. He is now under quarantine. The test was done at the eye doctor's office. He said that they had to turn people away as they had not been tested so now they do it so that does not happen again. As he is now in quarantine he walked Luther really early and I walked Luther last night. I had my Devils Q&A last night and again they asked my question. I love that - it is probably silly but I like hearing the answers. On Monday the NHL is going into phase 2 of restarting the season by allowing small groups of players to use their home ice facilities. It is all voluntary at this point. But it is nice to know things are starting. It is sad to read about the baseball players and owners not being able to reach a decision on how to restart. I have seen in Europe that for soccer big screen have been erected in parking lots and people have come to watch the games in their cars. Pretty cool! Also saw one arena has screen in the stadium and fans zoomed in to watch and the players could see the fans on the screen. I love the creativity! Today I really need to scrap. If I say it enough maybe I will.

Chris I saw the photo. Gosh they are cute. Glad you got the cooking done. There was a march in my town only it was not well publicized they wore masks but not socially distanced. I would not go anyway as I have to be careful about my DH. Glad they had it. Nice to be in the dirt. Love the Halloween theme! You have such fun! And you don't scare me with political talk!

Trudy I loved that you could go with the grand on his trike. Hope he gets his turtle! As Chris said we could not have because of the bacteria. Congrats on the project. You are a super woman! I loved what you did with your stairs and now this. Just amazing!

Felis ditto to what Chris said. Our country has never come to grips with the racism since the end of our Civil War. It is a stain on our country and now perhaps we with the new generation coming of age can finally begin the change. And it is not just the few that do the acts but the silence. OK enough from me. Hope your weather is good and glad your country is opening up!

Hi ladies... I am very late getting in here and really need to make this quick! I forgot to order quite a few things the other day in my grocery order so now I need to get to the store and get these items before the weekend rush! I have been face timing with the kids and Mason had such a great time for his birthday! He will continue getting more birthday fun this weekend as one of his friends is coming over for a social distance visit and his other grandparents will be there on Sunday to deliver the turtle LOL. He will be one happy kid!! I need to get coupons handed out for a few more things today, so I will have to catch up with everyone hopefully tomorrow! :sorry: but I wanted you all to know that I think the world of all of you and love to spend a part of my day here, even if it is very briefly! Have a lovely Friday everyone!

Sorry to be so quiet lately, no special reason, just general lethargy I think. We've had a run of nice summery days with just some thunderstorms one night. Today we got our car back from the body shop after about 10 days and a big bill stemming from DH backing out of the garage and not making the turn around the back porch enough so the back side was scraped. But not a simple fix, required replacing the quarter panel and possibly an electronic sensor under it. We drove it a bit now able to return things to the library drop box and checked the view of two local little lakes. Got to see a Red-shouldered Hawk at one and Barn Swallows gathering mud at the other.

Chris, you know you don't scare me away. I just hope the weather (and theme nights!) keep you grounded some. What could be better at your house than Halloween night?

Nancy, DH must be nervous and happy at the same time to have his surgery process under way now. I sure would be. Hope the time passes quickly and it is all good.

Trudy, I enjoyed the stories of where the boys took you with them! And Mason's birthday celebrations will make his memories sweet.

Felis, are you actually back working now? Is there any less pressure on deadlines? Hope all the furbabies are enjoying the weather.

Wishing all a good weekend.

Good morning girls!
Chris, don't be ridiculous some political debates time to time are good for brain exercise. We are talk (and I'm even scrap it, *twice*) about laundry so much that it's become nice to have some different to discuss. Thank you for the breathing! I'm not sure that I want everyone in my balloon right now, but limited it to my house LOL.
Wait, there is wild turtle that is totally illegal to captive!!! Even if they 'come alone' to your garden you can't imprisoned them, they must stay only outside and you have to prove that they can left your property. From other side, kind called the red-eared slider is ONLY pet, it's also illegal to set them free, as some people do it and they damaged our lakes, as they don't have natural enemy here. But no they don't have health risk, I guess because they are from breeders.
Oh, Monster Florence, yes, they are to modern for my taste, but work with my precious Mr. Kane, so I watched two of their live streams during the lockdown and suddenly lyrics start to likes me.
Hehehe, don't forget to shows me the Donald socks!

Jean, yes, it's happen so suddenly and unexpected, but I'm actually back to work. They confess that in future have plans the whole process to be mechanized, so the new contract is temporary, but I don't mind. Yes for now we work on very extended time, as a clients are still confused. And also have new order of receiving of materials, as before was practice to meet some of the coworkers at the office for quality control, but now we keep distancing and go one by one.
Oh, bad about the car! Good luck with finding the birds!

Trudy, hope your shopping went well! I'm looking for excuses to skip our this weekend LOL ! Don't forget to scrap, or at least to show us pics from the birthday party!

Nancy, NO it's not silly at all, it's so cool! You're so smart and I'm so proud of you for always find the right question! Every fangirl want to be notice!

Ok, because I always want you to shows me something and also Jean was asked
