One more thing erased from the "June Important Dates" on the chalkboard!
Prom- done and gone.

I am semi-serious, I loved seeing the kids all dressed up and I got a few texts from Caitlyn that they were having fun. The *best* text was from BFFATS's daughter. She and Cait have known each other since they moved in ATS when the girls were 18 months old. BFF's until they were in middle school. They move in very different circles now, but still have an affection for each other.
She sent me a pic of the Photo Booth pics they took together at Prom. Silly faces of them, laughing, just being really cute! The BFFATS called to ask if I had seen them, and we both said that even though they might not be "friends" it makes us happy to know that they will always look back with good memories.

My camera/lens was awful, almost all of the pics that I took came out blurry. I ended up grabbing my small point and shoot and got a few with that. i think I have a lens from my Canon 35 mm that I will swap and see if it is the lens or the body. The telephoto seemed to work at the Preschool grad. but that doesn't help me for indoor/close pics. A new camera is so far down on my list of things that need to be replaced/fixed. That list is long enough as it is!
:frusty:

It looks like it is going to be grey and rainy all day so that means I should be able to catch up on life a bit. Key words: should be. ha!

Totally struggling with my brother's b-day present. He asked for a new pic of him and Christopher. I found a nice blue/cream frame. I started looking through my photos of them, then stalked SIL's FB page and there is only one relatively recent pic of them together. If course the background is bright green and Christopher has a lollipop sticking out of his mouth so it doesn't match the frame at all.
I spent hours trying to scrap it to make it work and I am coming up totally empty. I was able to convert it to a b/w and I think that is what I am going to have to go with.

That is it from me- hope that all of you have a super Friday!

nancy- yesterday was a beautiful day- perfect for a prom. I was able to get my yard weeded so it would look nice in pics- fat lot of good that did ;)
Luther must be having a fab time being out and about so much. Hope that you don't miss hockey too much.
hahahah about Luther sitting down like that. J does that too when she doesn't want to come inside when she is on the lead. As I have called her before- a Bag of Bricks! She is 60 lbs but strong and stubborn LOL

Cindy- It is so funny how different dogs are- I would be able to walk Harley and Ray in one hand, we would go to the bus stop almost every day, and I would use choke collars (back when that was still acceptable). I could never walk Ray and J together, even with J wearing the halter. Of course I am older and not in shape any more. Might be a factor!

Rae- good for you!! I am so proud and happy that you have made a decision to nurture yourself and your personal photography. I think that is a great idea to redo your blog as well. When you are done re-working it, make sure that you hook us up.
That photo is gorgeous!!!

hugs to all of you!

good morning! It is grey and it is raining - well a light rain or heavy drizzle all I know we Luther and I came back and we were wet! LOL but it was good as most people don't walk their dogs in the rain so we had paths all to ourselves. We walked really early as both boys had to be in work early. Yesterday was calm and got more scrapping done. Had a good conversation with my sister. She said they hare going to be having record heat. This is when I am glad I live here. Today is more of the same. But at least I am on day 8 of 14 in my scrapping so I am over half way. I just hope I don't bore people with all the vacation pages.

Chris saw the photos of Cait and Brendan on FB and they looked so good! She is beautiful! So glad to hear they had a great time! I am sure your photo of your brother and his son will turn out beautifully!

Cindy I can't imagine two big dogs though I am sure they play with each other and keep each other busy.

Rae I love the photo of the lady bug! a stunning close up! good for you to do stuff for yourself!

Have a great day all!

Chris, I saw the photos of Cait on FB, too - I LOVE how her dress came out ... and now I can totally see what you were saying a few weeks ago about the top piece - it looks stunning!! Sorry that your camera wasn't cooperating :( but hopefully you got some good shots out of the bunch.

Happy Donut Day everyone!! Had one of our contracting partners stop by this morning and he brought donuts, unbeknownst to him that it was National Donut Day ;) And to show just how awesome he is, he'd heard that many of us were using the office gym and working on our health, so be brought fresh fruit along with the donuts for those that want it. Yup, awesome.

LOL was catching up just now on yesterday's chatter and was giggling at our dog stories - they're all quite the characters, aren't they? Nancy, I don't think Haddie would know what to do if she saw a rabbit. Turtles completely freak her out - it's so funny!! Now, chipmunks ... oh boy, the old girl can still motor to try and catch one of them! Her latest "friend" in the garden is a bunch of small lizards that have started appearing in the warmer weather. Of course, they're waaaaaayyy to fast for Haddie, but that doesn't stop her from trying to catch them. The lizards are smart, though, they go in the cracks in our stone retaining wall, or get under the edges of the siding on the house. However, that means that Haddie's right there, nose pushed into any crack she can find, schnuffling and snorting. Not sure if she thinks she's going to blow them out or something?! :der:

Good morning, ladies. Had a busy day yesterday as Ava's owner called, telling me his grandma had passed away and could I babysit Ava for 7 hrs or so as the family got together. So Taz had a fun day with Ava and was exhausted by late afternoon. He kept trying to sleep under my office chair but Ava kept poking and whining at Taz to play. Poor Taz was grumbling and squinting his eyes as he looked to me to help LOL. I had to keep pushing Ava away and she finally laid down beside Taz with her head nuzzled up against his belly LOL and they took a 1/2 hr nap together. Then it was time to get out to the park and play before taking her home. Fun but busy day with the dogs. Today we'll head out to our trailer til Sunday. It'll be hot and sunny so looking forward to being outdoors with Taz.

Chris - if you have a pencil with an eraser tip, try gently rubbing the contact points on the lens and camera with the eraser. Hold the camera sideways, tilted downward so you don't get any rubbed off rubber bits inside the camera when you do it. What shooting mode do you use? Try shooting with an aperture of 5, or thereabouts, in case you've got a bit of shake and this will allow a bit of depth to your focal plane for sharpness. Check where your focus is, are you using center focus and recomposing or are you toggling focus points? Try using the center focus and recomposing which is the strongest focus point to use if you've been toggling the focus, this may help.

Nancy - yes, we find that many don't take their dogs out walking in the rain too. Taz doesn't mind at all. He never turns down a walk :)

Kat - me too, I love to hear the dog stories. Taz has never seen a rabbit other than in the pet store. IRL he would probably go ballistic and chase after it, I'm sure. Ducks kind of freak him out. He is curious but jumpy and won't get too close, he will strain his body forward, looking at one, but keep his feet grounded and won't move closer. It's so funny to watch.

Trudy - waving good morning. Hope you're having a fun day.

Time to get something to eat and get laundry done so I can pack up some clothes for our weekend trip. I need to load a few more digi kits on my EHD too, to bring along for scrapping a bit if I have time.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.
