Daily Ooo's: Friday June 26

TGIF! We need the :bliss: smilie back, he was so cute, dancing around. It looks like it is going to be a gorgeous, sunny day. Yesterday was for sure.
I was good, I forced myself to get the things done inside before I went to do some weeding and such outside. It took me forever to make the dog treats (I feel like I say that every time)
I paid a few more bills- I was pleased to see that the discount on my dental premium came through. I ignored the fact that the bathrooms need some scrubbing, but I did vacuum. Dinner was sesame noodles since I had leftover fresh ginger. That stuff is so darn good.

Nothing big happening today other than my parents coming up to visit this morning. Yard work in the afternoon. Leah is going to be here this weekend too.

Nancy- It has been gorgeous up here. Not humid at all. In fact, I am chilly again this morning. I bet you enjoyed the sun and book in the yard. We liked Bloodline a lot. Unfortunately, we watched much in cold weather and I was *dying* over the resort and ocean. To live there!! Ahhhhh!!! We watched it on Netflix so we binged much of it.
Have you been able to get pics of the baby birds? I am so happy they are doing well and getting stronger. I know your sister is careful but it the rest of the people that worry me. I hope that she and her family/friends stay safe and healthy.

Trudy- The boys and Heather must keep you laughing a lot, so nice that you talk all of the time. Ouch, the spider bite sounds nasty, and yes, keep an eye on that. Hahaha!! That is good news that you have proof of making it to the end of the hike. How are the legs feeling today? You are so lucky to have a hot tub to soak in.
I can't wait to see the photos of the trail and views. I bet Scott would have liked it too.

I agree- the first season of Bloodline was the best. They always are, I think.

Kay- That makes sense that the library wants books to "wait" before being checked out. I grabbed a book that a friend was getting rid of, a newer Nora Roberts-"Shelter in Place." But after that, I am out so I really should get some On Hold.
Good score on hand soap! That is one thing I am really having a hard time getting, Cait asked for clear, unscented soap and I can't get it. Gary needs one with aloe for his poor, callused fingertips (blood testing) and I have had no luck with that either.
I have a bag of apples in the fridge that no one is eating. I bet if I make a pie/crisp they will eat that.
I hope that you are able to get all of your dr appts set up soon.

Cheryl- so nice to have you join us here in the Ooos! I am not a night owl or a morning person. I joke that I am good from 10 am to 2 pm. On a good day!! But anytime you pop in is a good time.
Yuck about the heat. What kind of puppy do you have? I have three- Rayvyn is my oldest, she is 14 1/2 and lab mix. Jaida is 5 and is also a "lab-mix" that looks much more like a pittie than a lab at all. The last one is Whisky who is, coincidentally enough, another lab mix. No one has any idea what she actually is-- some combo of dog, kangaroo, and alien. She is 3. They are all rescues which is why I have three lab-mixes but only one looks like she has any lab in her at all.

Hope that today is not as hot for you and that you are able to find your way around here better.

I have been really lazy today even tho I woke up at 5:30AM again! Can't seem to get my shower and dressed until the morning is half gone... Should know better than to sit down at the computer until I get that done... <<< shaking my head >>> Got caught up on some computer things that needed to be done and realized that I need to do more housekeeping chores on it. Have way too many scrapping kits stored on it that should be moved to DVDs and removed from the computer. Yes, I also have them on a couple of ExtHDs. Several of the designers have retired so time to remove their stuff. Just checked and .... I am out of DVDs. No wonder I haven't got that done.

Was just checking out the MiniO's for this month... WOW... Need to get busy on them. And just realized that there are only a few days left in June. July is peeking around the corner!

Got a call this morning from the XRay dept and now have my Bone Density test set up for Mid-July. Just have to get my Mammo set up and that should be it for tests.

I watched the governor's latest Covid-19 Update yesterday afternoon. She has put a hold on opening any thing else for awhile as the new positive numbers/percentage of positives to number of tests run has gone up. Our state requires masks when out but there has been an increase of non-compliance especially in larger numbers of people together without masks. At least it isn't as dramatic as AZ and TX have been having.

Chris... hoping you have a very good day and celebrate your birthday in a fun way. Have to LOL as you love to get out pulling weeds and working in the garden so force yourself to do inside house chores first. Me... I would rather do inside house chores to working in the yard!!! Different strokes for different folks.

Good Morning everyone and TGIF!! Not that it is any different than any other day right?? Oh except for the fact that Chris is not saying anything about today being her BIRTHDAY!!! :HapBirth: Chris!!
Today is a lovely sunny day and the only thing on my plate is to pick up the grocery order I placed yesterday. Tomorrow they are still showing rain for the forecast but I am keeping my fingers crossed that it won't happen. Of course the next few days are full sun. :mmph: Oh well we won't let a bit of rain ruin our day at the Butchart Gardens, we will be inside for the High Tea anyway. I am almost finished my first of many projects for my SIL Linda and will post a photo for you soon. Oh and I meant to post the picture of me crossing the log yesterday, but forgot so here it is ...

Everyone on the hike gives me a hard time about my fluorescent lime green backpack, but hey if I fall down a cliff I would be easy to find right?? LOL. My legs are not quite so stiff today and my spider bite is not so swollen and hot today so it will be a good day!

Chris - You are being very sneaky not telling us that today is your special day! I hope that you are able to be outside and soak up the warm sunshine and enjoy the company of your family! Glad that you got all the things you wanted to do yesterday done and hopefully today you can just relax and let others wait on you!! (ya like you will let that happen lol). I hope you have an amazing day!

Kay - Hope you are enjoying your new books from the library! That makes sense that they would hold them for three days so that others can have a sanitized book to read. Glad that you were able to get the hand soap that you like, but too bad you can't find the lotion that you want :mmph: Your meals that you have in the freezer sound yummy and so does your plan for dessert!! Hope your sunburn continues to heal well! Enjoy your day!

Cheryl - Welcome to the daily O's we are so glad that you popped in to say hey! It sounds very warm where you are!! I don't like the humidity on little bit! It has been more humid here than we normally get, but the temps are just right, not too hot so it makes the humidity more bearable! It can be daunting to try to figure out your way around the forums here, but sounds like Vicki and Ona are trying to make it a bit easier. Hope you find things more comfortable soon!

Ok have been face timing with Heather and the boys for quite a while already and now I need to get to the shower and get morning things done around here. Also need to water the plants on the front porch, I have been ignoring them for a few days and I am sure they are very thirsty! Have a wonderful friday everyone!! :wave:

Kay we cross posted this morning! Yup I am the same and should get my shower in first thing before even sitting at the computer! Hope that you can get some DVD's so you can complete your computer clean up. I have everything stored on EHD's and have a few of them. That is where I download them all the time so there is none on my computer. I hope to get going with the mini O's today also, so far behind with things I figure I'm first LOL.

Oh... meant to tell you that I did have my barbecued pork sandwich with the sweet potato with pecan toppings casserole for supper last night. WOW... WOW... the sweet potato casserole was so YUMMY!!! It is by PictSweet Farms in the frozen section. I thawed it just enough to cut it into 8 sections, packaged 7 of them in tubs and stuck them back into the freezer. The serving I kept out didn't look very big but it so rich it was more than enough. I will definitely be buying it again.

good afternoon! The weather is awesome. My mourning doves have left the nest. So happy for them. Just got done watching both my governor's press briefing and the Covid task force briefing. What a difference. Pence said that the government has guideline for flattening the curve yet the main thing that stops the curve is masks and he refused to say that. What a joke! Our governor announce that schools will be open in September but it will up to each district to decide the details. I am enjoying my time reading out doors. Got in a good walk but Luther refused to go. He got in a good walk this am so he is resting. Oh the life of a dog!

Chris I agree NJ is having great weather. So fun! Glad that you all watched Bloodline. Yes I am bingeing on Netflix. The older I have gotten the less my eyes see mess. Hope you had a nice time with parents.

Kay I see that your governor is also doing the correct thing. Talked to my sister today and she said AZ's governor has finally decided to be more proactive. Lots of bars are closing and are being told that they will lose their liquor licenses if they cant social distance and require masks. Glad the sunburn is not too bad! I too have to have a desert. It does not have to be much but I need that sweet. Have fun making apple crisp!

Trudy glad the hike was good. And yes your lime green backpack was be easy to see! I see that your Dr. Bonnie must have been pretty hard on the NHL as Vancouver is not in the running for a hub city for the return the NHL anymore. From how you write about her she has rules and won't bend. Seems to be working for BC so good for her! And for your community!

Happy birthday, Chris! I can totally understand this feeling to want to neglected it and to keep the day just for yourself (so me LOL). But I hope that your family will makes you super party instead to respect your decision! Wish you this year to brings you lots of happiness and moments of pride!

Cheryl, I'm night owl too, can easily stay up whole night to see the sunrise. But if at some reason I have to wake up to see the sunrise and then to be active I'll needs a lots of coffee pots to keeps me alive. Hope you'll join to our daily chats!

Kay, I can't find DVDs here, literally nowhere. I had to switch to flash and ExtHDs, but hate them as it's happen too often to accidentally delete some folder. God to bless Vicki that the purchased kits stays active, as I'm not even start to download to save previous year 52 weeks kits!

Trudy, I just hope you was bite by spider, and this isn't tick's head, here we have so many this summer! Hope the raid to stay away for your sister's party! LOL, I know the feeling others to not understand your style. I follow british influencers so the fashion there's way too colorful for the people here LOL. I couldn't worried about the others opinion, as you are always so elegant on the photos you shared!

Nancy, Oh, poor Luther, LOL sweet boy! My Biggie also is too lazy in these hot days. The students here showed better results after the homeschooling, and the teachers are so mad, as the parents start to talk for reforms and more affordable homeschooling (this option was illegal until 5 years ago or so). But government is afraid that this will not be good for socialization of the ethnic groups children's and can bring their radicalization.


So, girls, I was very overwhelmed, as I accept to help my sister with project for which she has not receive the materials before to go. So I was: 'yes I could do that for you'. My momy said: "You aren't forget that I'm on my friend's bday and you promised to cook", and me was 'pfff, of course I'm working on that!'. And then daddy reminds me that they makes him sandwiches for work, which I should know, but just was forgot. I was so far behind that day (Wednesday) that I had next 2 days on rush. My problem is that I don't have realistic feeling about the times speed. Sometimes I'm feeling like I'm clean half hour, just to find that they are been 2. I like my cleaning time , can't say I love to clean, definitely not! But till you clean you can on peaceful to ponder or daydream. And no one bother you, or suspect you in laziness. So sometimes I just extend the time that is need one place to bee clean with concentration, because I'm deep in my thought. Not the most productive strategy with sure! Delaying lol!
