Hello girls! I can't believe I'm not post from the weekend! I checked to see what I was talking about last time, so to not repeat myself and couldn't believe! Even double checked as to me it's not looked so long ago at all, I could swear it was the day before when I was posted. The time flies so fast! It was one of these quiet weeks when days are similar, mostly work and chores. It's so darn hot, I've melted at the whole time! And it's so unpleasant to stay so sticky, but have to wear tons of antiperspirant, sunscreen and mosquitoes spray. I don't want even to think how many bad chemicals absorb through my skin, because of that.
We are trying to not use the air conditioner at least to the end of the month, because over consuming of electricity is so deadly for the environment. Most sources at my country are invasive, we have just a few solar and wind centrals, and they are not in my area. And it's ridiculous complicated to receive permission for independent home's solar panels, as it's affects the interests of the electricity companies which have big impact on our government and works mostly in their favor. Fortunately now the companies for solar water heating are taking their market share too and after we fixed our roof at May we was able to get one, which makes me so happy at the moment! But still the AC is big consumption, so mostly we try to cooling the rooms through open windows and working on the porch at the worst hours. Every time when I think that I can't stand anymore I remind myself that AC actually are popular here past 10 years or so, they aren't actually essential, and my my great-grandmother at this month on the same weather is been working at the fields! Modern people are so spoiled! But yes I wasn't in my best shape this week!
Chris, I hope you'll have awesome lunch on this fancy place, and to be able to see this celebrity! I'm not familiar who he is, are you fan or just hanging around for selfie?!
Hey, you was told me that Cait may to have some advices about the Shifting paradigms and law of attraction, did you have chance to discus that? I'm still struggling to improve my habits and this book is so boring! I find every book boring at this moment lol! Was rewatching ''Pride and prejudice'' movie and Elizabeth's sister shocked mr Darcy by saying: ''I want to read, but I have so more interesting things to do.'' L O L , yes sis.
Trudy!!! You are posting again, so happy to see you! And also I'm so happy that everything going as planned for your vacation! My sister hates all these tests and quarantines. Not the test itself, but some airlines don't accept local hospital's test and forced you to pay on their partner clinic for a second test on the airport. Hope it will be much easier now with the vaccination passport!
Rae, I'm jealous about your chance to take the dogs to the beach! We had to change our schedule because of the hot too, it's pits!
Eva, same here about people are able to walk, not to drive, to go everywhere! Not so good as in Canada, but still! Like Trudy said and according to that book I adore "Sleeping Naked Is Green'', bicycle ride in Canada is pure pleasure! In the cities here it's a bit dangerous, but the towns are different zone. I remember when Chris' dad wasn't able to drive and she told me that they have no sidewalks or chance to ride bike. I was so shocked. I can't imagine to have to pay every time when you go out, because driving cost money, and if you have always to pay to go somewhere, this isn't actually freedom! As European I have some unrealistic expectation about US based on the TV shows. OMG, did you hear about this awful TV show that offends the french people ''Emily in Paris''? I sort of want to watch it so to can hate it LOL!
Nothing personal my US friends, I love you and know that you aren't like they present the american girls in that movie!
WOW 12 free days, that sounds heavenly! Any plans? I'll use my vacation time (if I'll be able to get one this year), for full cycle of 48 - 72hr sleep, love this, I need one so desperately! Then the next 2 days will clean. Yes my life is so exciting!!
Cheryl, did you buy the dream picture? How lovely to have your girl time for nails!
