Whatta week ;)
But its Friday and the sun is supposed to come out.

As you can see, I did not fall on my friend's floor and unbeknownst to the family, got stuck there, unable to stand up on my own. There were a few times I thought that could happen. hehe. In that house, I could fall and no one would notice because there is such chaos that I could yell for help and no one would think twice. ;)
Moving around helped a lot and I was able to cook dinner and walk around with very little pain. Stiff again this morning but I am hoping that will ease up soon.

I am not sure what I am doing during the day- my friend across the street, Cait, and I are going out to dinner tonight. She is not able to make it to the Grad party with the date change so we thought it would be nice to go out for dinner and drinks to celebrate instead. Debbie is like Cait's second mom. The restaurant is right around the corner from our houses so we are planning on walking over.

Gary and I have to drop my car off to get the brakes fixed-- please can I ask for some "not very expensive" vibes?

Be back soon!

Good morning ladies. Sunny and hot here…what else? Yesterday it hit 108* and I don’t know what the “feels like” temp was. It doesn’t matter…I stayed inside. I did make it outside to water my plants…they are drinking the water like dying souls in the desert.

Shaun had the test yesterday where they pushed dye through him and so now we wait for the doctor to review the results. Fingers crossed.

@faerywings glad that you didn’t fall while cleaning and that your back feels better. Have fun going out to eat tonight!

@tanteva someone said they weren’t buying digI supplies in June! What blasphemy! I‘m so glad that it didn’t happen!;) And WW does sound a lot better now!

@bcgal00 I saw your photo with the baby bird. You are right Of course about the cycle of life, but it‘s still hard.

@Cherylndesigns it sounds like we have the same weather right now…except ours might be worse. If you figure out how to ship it, let me know. @BrightEyes I can’t believe that you had such cold temps. I guess the rain brought the cold?

@tanteva Happy Midsommer to you! How long does Urban have off for vacation? Enjoy the time together r:)
I lose weight much quicker in the summer too, being "active" helps, and so does having to wear clothes that aren't totally enveloping.
Good luck with the new point system, seems like they change it pretty often. The recipe looks good- if too spicy for me. Scott loves that Korean chili garlic sauce. (that was what I put in the black bean burgers last week. He uses it as a dipper.) I could def. adapt that for the vegans/vegetarians/poultry eaters.

@BrightEyes your weather was about the same as mine has been, yuck. Good score on more DVDs! How was Flight 93? Jeremy Glick was from my town and we are very proud of him, he has a trailhead named after him- that is *big* up here.
Hope that your knee held up ok and you didn't set any of the healing back

Crud- Linda, I missed that, Brian had an interview? How did it go?? Good luck vibes to him~~~

@bcgal00 I saw the photo of the baby bird--- even with the circle of life part, it is still very sad. :(
I have, 't read The Martian, is it something I would like? I am thoroughly loving the book that I rec'd in the other thread here- The Woman They Could Not Silence. It's incredible.

@Cherylndesigns We are getting your heat this afternoon! It is supposed to get over 80 today and tomorrow. It should be an excellent night to have dinner overlooking the lake. My nieces' grad party is tomorrow and thankfully it will be nice too
LOL-- nope never too old for a crush, Jon Bon Jovi always has always will be, and dang he still has it :D

@taxed4ever *happy dancing that you had a wonderful sunny day!!!* I miss having a screen door, I loved having it open for the light and air.
Oh my goodness, what a movie to watch on a flight!!! I don't blame you for not wanting to watch it too.

I think I remember someone said she wasn't going to buy any digiscrap stuff in June ... I don't remember who that was???
I don't think I ever hear anyone say that.. nope, no one... *shakes head*

xoxo!

I was up, dressed and out working in the backyard at 6 AM this morning! ! ! ! Yesterday was a beautiful day with blue skies and sunshine (82*F). I couldn't resist going over to get some potted plants. I was disappointed in the selection that was left... many of the Asiatic lilies had blooms off and were looking pitiful. But, I did find 2 larger Daylilies that looked healthy at Lowe's then 3 more smaller Daylilies at Home Depot. Will have to wait on getting the ones for the front yard. And today is another beautiful day... but saw some dark clouds off to the west that may bring rain later on today. Decided I need to get the daylilies potted early while it is till cool (69*). I was smart and used a low footstool to sit on while I was planting them. That kept the pressure off the bad knee. So glad I had a rolling cart to move the half bag of potting soil around. I was being careful to not over-do or strain the back and the knees. So happy with how beautiful the daylilies look in the pots.
Here is a close-up of what the blooms look like and a few other photos of them in their pots

Really glad I did this early as the temps are climbing rapidly! Managed to get it all done and everything put away by 7AM. When I finished, I tipped the wheel barrow up to load and then move the unopened bag of potting soil (must weigh about 50 lbs) from the back patio back into the garage. The yard man had put it on the back patio thinking It would be needed for the pots in the back but it wasn't needed after all. I still have a quarter of the open bag yet to use for the pots in the front yard.
I am going to have another cup of coffee, look at the new Color Play releases, then hop in and take a shower.

Happy Friday everyone! Just a quick pop in for me today as I have a few errands to run this morning. I am off to get my groceries and mail all the t-shirts that I got done for the grands and Heather. She requested a couple of tank tops with some sayings on them so that got all done yesterday. It is a beautiful sunny day and we are in for some very warm weather for the weekend. Hooray!! We will be busy getting things done around the yard etc. No visits, no going to help out the in-laws this weekend, so we can finally get the front porch steps painted and start working on painting the trim on the house too. Lots of weeding and trimming to do also. It will be a busy weekend for DH and myself. What else is new?? I must remember to find the sunscreen and wear a hat while we are outside.

@faerywings - What a nice idea to be going out for dinner with your friend across the street! I hope that you all have a great time! Cheers to Caitlyn from me!! Enjoy the sunshine today!

@LSlycord - Yikes some very warm temps for you, but then I guess you live in Florida so it is to be expected! Sure hope that the test reveals the problem for your Shaun!! It sure would be great to get this resolved!!

@BrightEyes - Your yard looks so very peaceful and tranquil!! Love the Daylilies mine are just started to blossom, so pretty! Glad that you took care not to strain your knee or your back!! I need to look at the colour play goodies for june also! I am so far behind on my layouts!

Ok I am off to the grocery store, have a great day everyone!

Good morning, Lovelies.

I got up early, for me - Kay @BrightEyes I can't believe you were working in your yard at 6 AM. Your flowers look so pretty - Daylillies are about my favorites - I have lots of them. They just bloom their little hearts out year after year My peach ones are blooming now - the rest are yellow. Your house looks so pretty.

Chris @faerywings your dinner tonight sounds delightful - enjoy! Glad your weather is warming up - I sent some your way, you know. Hahaha

Linda @LSlycord keeping my fingers crossed for good results from Shaun's test. It's always hard to wait. I can send you some of my "low humidity" - whoosh - here it comes. The humidity in Florida used to kill me - I'd walk out of the house and be instantly wet. It's hot here sometimes, but nothing like that wretched humidity. Coming your way - let me know when you get it. Yes, the temps are about the same, but my DD always says "no humidity where you are". She hates it, too.

Boy, is the compound ever quiet! Until today, it was only us and Ava. Tom, Roger's "handyman" lives on the property, down by the entrance, so we feel a little better that he's here. He's about 6'5" and looks pretty foreboding even though he's a pussycat. He has a full beard and looks like a lumberjack. Haha We have cameras all over the property too and know when anybody even enters from the main road. There are Private Property and Keep Out signs and "you're under surveillance" signs, too. When we first moved here, we had a lot of "lookers" who were just interested in what we were doing and we had to put a stop to that. We're all hooked up to the cameras, so I feel pretty safe.

Trudy @taxed4ever the T-shirts and tank tops sound cute. What a fun thing to be making.

I'm gonna get going - the dogs need some attention (we have Lila while Adrienne and Roger are gone).

Good morning ladies. The wkend is warming up a lot so today I'll run errands and get chores done. Before a late dinner tonight we'll take the dogs down to the park at the end of the block to play when it cools off a bit. Tomorrow we'll take the dogs to a lake. I'm going to make spaghetti sauce today so it'll be ready for tomorrow's dinner.

@faerywings I enjoyed both the movie and book The Martian. So far I'm really enjoying Project Hail Mary even more.

Saw the trailers for Elvis and The Black Phone so those are on our list to watch this summer. Also Where The Crawdads Sing (read the book). Looks like a good summer for movies.

@BrightEyes How nice to find the flowers and add to your lovely yard. It looks so clean and spacious.

@taxed4ever Sunscreen...yes. Me too. I keep forgetting but with a lot more sunshine here I need to be more diligent about it every day.

@LSlycord Fingers crossed for the test results. Hope its good news.

I'm getting another coffee and will do some puttering before going out for errands.

@Cherylndesigns Looks like we crossposted this morning. I don't think you've ever said much about your home before. Are you in a remote area? We finally got our cameras working properly to record. We could view IRT but not at backup feed but finally after hours of calls and emails the company figured it out. I like having that security of seeing what's going on out there.

Yes we do, Rae. We live on 50 acres and it's in a pretty remote area. We wanted to be able to see a car if it even tried to come on our property. They're pretty great when you live in a remote area. Like I said, there was a lot of curiosity when we first started building and developing and we just couldn't have people driving in here looking around. When they see that big "under surveillance" sign, they normally go on their way.

@Cherylndesigns Wow...50 acres. The first thing I think of is the photo opportunities for birds :) How peaceful that must be.
Yep, you'd have a field day here, Rae! There are just SO many photo ops that I can't even tell you. I was standing out in the front, watering my flowers and a buck walked right beside the house. We've seen herds of deer, wild turkeys, and lots of big hawks - and there has been an eagle sighting on the property. Last week, while my grandson was here, a singing bird got in our house. Poor thing was freaked out, but singing the whole time. I got my broom and we finally helped him find the open door.

We live in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and have the most magnificent view right out in front of us.

Oh man...that sounds like heaven! Enjoy your little piece of it. I love where we are but I think you got me beat!
