Thank you @faerywings.

Good morning. A quick in and out for me. Sorry that I’ve been missing…this week has just kicked my fanny. Between work, the house, having Sydney home. All are good things but I just don’t have the stamina that I used to. And, then the root planing on my teeth and gums. The dentist said that I now have periodontal disease so they have a treatment plan for that. Of course they do. :sad1:

The gardens are done and the hummingbird comes each day and drinks nectar from my firecracker plant. That was the hummingbird favorite at the last house too. I’ve seen several butterflies there as well. And the best surprise of all is that a pair of cardinals came and spent time at my feeder last night. It was so much fun to watch.

Next week the lanai gets screened in and the remodeling happens to add my office. We still have a few things left but those are the really big things. So hopefully, the chaos will abate for awhile.

I need to get to work. I promise that this weekend I will find a way to get in here and get caught up. I miss you lovely ladies and hope that I can get into a rhythm again soon.

I hope that Linda is able to pop in before she starts work.
I feel like I am running late again, my hour to be here in the morning is supposed to be from 7-8 am. Never happens that way but I try. *shrugs*

Yesterday was some sort of weird time-stretchy day. Time was slow, then fast, and slow again until dinner when it went so fast when I was cooking and mismanaged the time I needed. Gary was super excited about dinner. He is moving onto soft foods so I made pastina with butter for him.
It didn't really rain yesterday, just misted on and off all day, it's doing the same right now. Kind of dreary but that's fine.
I am taking J to the vet this morning, she is due for vaxes and heartworm test and I am gonna take some Advil before I go LOL! I wish she was better behaved at the vet. Better behaved everywhere would be nice. :rolleyes1: Sam is working this morning at the front desk, so perhaps J will be happier when she sees a familiar face. perhaps...

If Gary is up to it we are going to the local church rummage sale. It's a *big* thing - B.I.G. big. We are looking for chairs for the kitchen table. We have 2 sets, one from the table set we had when we first got married. They are metal with a cushioned seat. They have been painted and recovered several times but the metal is getting too rusted for heavier people to sit on. The other four are the ones that came with the table we have now. We got it secondhand in 2003 and those chairs are getting very rickety too. I don't care if they are mismatched but if I can find 4 decent chairs I'll be thrilled.

Finish It Friday
I have a ton of tagging to do In ACDSee. I have a tendency to tag all of the easy ones (flower, string) and leave the ones I have to think about for last. I have tons of "think-abouts" and I need to force myself to finish them before I allow myself to get a new kit.
:cuffed:

Have a fantastic day!

@vickyday We are supposed to be getting rain all week too and I am sure our basements going to be the same way as yours :(
Please tell me that you have pics of the dogs in their new clothes.

@taxed4ever Glsad that you didn't get pulled away into another timeline at the stones, but I'd be happy for you if you found Jamie :giggle4: The photos are so neat, how did they get the ones in the photo on the right stacked so high? (mostly a rhetorical question).
That's great that the blinds were an easy fix.

@Nonni F Good to see you pop in! I was going to PM you last week to check in but didn't want to come across as a worry wart. (Who me??? :p )
So sorry that work is not going well ATM. But dang, girl-- your gardening time is well worth it! That corner is just stunning, all of the colors and staggered heights - and the cat! I don't blame you one bit for wanting to spend all of your free time out there.
My yard is full of rocks too and I use them to line the "lawn" (for what that's worth, it's weeds and moss with a few blades of grass) and have the flowered planted behind them. Scott went through a period as a young teen when he built towers of balanced rocks everywhere. There are still a few standing in the woods behind me.
Good luck at the ortho Dr next week, I hope it's all good news for your knees whatever form that takes.

No pics of the little dog my daughter bought the clothes for. He is a dachshund mixed with a terrier and has one floppy ear. He was a rescue dog. Cute little guy. Her other 2 dogs are BIG....one is a pit bull mix and one is a walker hound....all rescue dogs. I'll have to see if I can find some pics of the little guy dressed up. He's used to them dressing him so he pays no attention to it.

Good Morning all!
Quick in and out for me. Mark is off today and wants to run to the hardware store to get some keys made and some epoxy for the Weiner roasting metal poles he handmade wooden handles for. I'll have to get some pictures to share. He also wants to stop at subway for lunch. I'm not thrilled about going to the hardware store but I do like Subway! ;)

Maybe talk more later!
Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. I'm back to the eye doctor this morning. Fingers crossed that the new medication is working and my eye deterioration is stabilized. I have lot some peripheral vision, I hope it does not get worse. D will come with me b/c my eyes always ache and I get a low grade headache afterwards, so he will drive. Nothing else planned for today. Should be a quiet day.

@faerywings Hope that the vet trip goes ok. Sending good shopping vibes your way for finding the chairs you want.

@LSlycord Butterflies and hummingbirds...sounds wonderful. I have not gotten any hummers but I keep changing the water and hoping one will come.

@vickyday I agree, the hardware store doesn't sound very appealing but the food does.

I need to get going on my day. HAGD everyone.

Morning ladies... a quick pop in here for me today also. I am off to the Lake to do some paddling in my kayak. Its a gorgeous morning and the lake is like glass!! Yesterday was a good one. I got lots accomplished, but spent way too much on goodies at the craft store that I love. Oh well it keeps me happy! I got Hunter's card almost all done and will work on finishing that this afternoon. I also started another project for our nephew and his girlfriend's new baby that is scheduled to arrive in September. I will post pics when it is all finished. I also have to start writing down which cards I have made for my grands and everyone else that I make cards for birthdays. I am afraid that one day I will do a repeat LOL. It will be another busy weekend for DH and myself, but what else is new?? I hope to sneak in some scrapping time, but Ya that probably won't happen. :hahano: (I love that smiley!). Ok I better get some sunscreen on and get going before the wind decides to pick up, will I get back to catch up with all of you today? Who knows, but I hope you have a grand :friday:. :bye2:

Yep...the lanai is the screened in area. It's 15 x 15 and overlooks the backyard. Not huge but nice for coffee to start the day!

FRIDAY!!!!! YIPPEEEE! One major bonus to the day is when one of our elected officials owns a winery and invites you by when the office closes. As if wine wasn't enough... he made SLUSHIES!!!!

@faerywings aaawwww.... I would not have thought you were a worry wart. Me being "quiet" is not typical. (you've figured me out quickly...lol) but, it's all good. Just a lot of work. It's settling down.. just a new process.

I hope everyone's day has turned out just as planned.

Peace (and bottoms up)

Good evening my lovelie
It's Friday, right??? I've been goofed up all week. Today should really be Saturday. :lalalala: I did NOT just say that!!!

Hey Chris @faerywings before I go any further, Adrienne and I met Braden, Alyssa and her BFF for dinner at the Mexican restaurant last evening and Sarah (the BFF) asked me if I was getting spray tanned. My partner in crime, Adrienne and I never missed a beat I said "No, I just get out in the sun as much as I can". Sarah said that I looked SO tan. Hint Hint - have you gotten any of that Jergens yet????? We ARE going to lay by the pool tomorrow if it doesn't rain and it isn't supposed to. It's supposed to rain tonight, but hasn't started yet. It was thundering earlier, but no rain. I figured it would because I watered all of my plants. It's like washing your car.

Linda @LSlycord that's so cool that you have hummingbirds and cardinals already. We have our hummingbird feeders out and "something" is drinking the nectar, but I haven't seen but a handful of hummingbirds. It must be the bees. Oh, I must tell you about my tomato plants. All of the leaves are stripped - just "sticks" sticking out of the planter box. Adrienne lost all of her Hydrangeas and they looked the same way. We suspect the deer are eating them. Roger put out deer repellent and I guess I need to do it for my tomatoes. I'm just sick over it. They haven't bothered anything else. If they eat my hydrangeas, there will be war!

Nonnie @Nonni F it's good to see you in here and yay for a winery!

I'll hopefully catch up with all of you over the weekend. XOXO

I may need to try that tanner. I could just spend my time out in the heat...but I think I'd rather do the tanner. :) And I am so sorry about your tomato plants. Although, I do hope you got a picture of the "sticks" because that would make a great future layout!
