!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <~ because I was not sure how many !!! I could fit in the subject line.

I wasn't at all sure that I was going to make it in one piece. But I did.:hail: OK, so technically I still have one more day to get through but I GOT This!!!! :D

PICC line was nice and clear, I didn't chop my toes off at my clients house (he is the one with all of the weapon collection stuff), got in a walk with my friend and had a yummy dinner with the fam. Vegetarian Roll ups with spinach, roasted red pepper, and avocado in a whole wheat wrap and kale chips, gobs and gobs of kale chips. Yummmmmmmmm!

It didn't start off all that good however. On his way out the door to finals, Scott and Gary were talking quietly about his car, and stuff about driving home from school. I asked what they were whispering about and it turns out Scott was in a (very minor!) car accident the day before. He was making a left hand turn and a pick up was turning in and he bumped the rim of the tire. The rim was scratched up a bit and the man didn't even want to get police/insurance involved. It was a new truck or he wouldn't have even cared about the scratches. So we'll wait and see how much it will cost to get the rim cleaned up or replaced. But I was kind of upset that no one told me when it happened.

Gary and Scott made a decision to not tell me since I was having such a bad day and they didn't want to worry me, esp. since it was no big deal.
I know that they made the right decision but I had such conflicting emotions-- my baby got in an accident. Eeep!!!! Its that crazy mother in me that wants to keep him in bubble wrap forever.
Nancy, Phyllis-- is this normal? Faery-Normal, even?

Then I went and got my blood drawn and brought the bill that I had with me. The drawing center send my blood to the lab that is not in my insurance plan and I was billed $230. The woman there called the lab and they wouldn't forgive the bill but they would give me a 15% discount. *snorts*

Then she calls my insurance company and they were willing to cover the bill...until they realize that the prescribing dr- my Lyme dr- is not in network. Of *course* she is not in network. She doesn't take insurance b/c of the ridiculous CDC/IDSA bull****!!!!! :brick:

The drawing center can't absorb my bill, so I have to pay it but they are not going to charge me my $15 co-pay for the rest of the year. Since I have to go every week, its not too bad of a deal. But there is something very very wrong with the health insurance system.

But yippeeee yappy yahooooey! It is Friday and I have one house to clean. Cait has a morning final and when she is done I am picking her up and she will help me clean. Then I am going to shower and collapse.

Finish It Friday-
My parents wedding album came in the mail yesterday - and it looks amazing!- but I need to make a card for them too.

Thanks as always for reading along with my crazy life saga. You all rock!!!!

Uh oh, It looks like I have scared everyone off again, except you, Sara!
Sorry :(

That dentist sounds awesome! I think you have to be a special type of person to do ped. dentistry and she must be it.That place looks amazing! I am glad that Ben did ok, even though he has a cavity.
and this:
After that, we went to the store. They had a big cheese, chocolate, and misc. items sample and I got some awesome cheese, chocolate, and wine. mmmmm
this is my kind of store! I could happily shop there.
Are you liking the new Stephanie Plum book? I saw it when I was in Target the other day. She is always good for a laugh.

Right now I am reading The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova. Its very good but not very light. I have my MIL's old ipad to read ebooks on too.

Chris, yup. it's normal to want to wrap up your kids. i still do. but mostly try NOT to think too much when my kids are out there in the Big Scary World. which at their ages is ALL THE TIME. DD is driving to her Alma Mater for a Hen Party ( as my friend on Scotland calls them), and i asked her to be sure to call me when she gets there and when she gets home. after she rolled her eyes, she agreed.... re: insurance. didn't you get Obamacare? i thought you thought that that was going to smooth out some of these medical insurance bumps? it is maddening. we have this unique and troubling thing going on in my town, where the two big insurance companies/hospital systems are fighting with each other. My city is a "company town." probably 90% of our hospitals are University-affiliated hospitals. they decided to start their own insurance company, and Blue Cross had a fit and decided to start their OWN hospital system, with just a tiny number of hospitals, and say that The University-related hospitals and doctors would no longer be "preferred providers" under Blue Cross. people will have to pay more to go to The University-related hospitals and providers if they have Blue Cross coverage. we do. and i'll be damned if i'm going to some obscure little hospital. so how this all turns out should be interesting.

all i know about today is that i'm going outn search of kibbee for lunch today. then i have to hang around home to sign for a delivery my DD ordered and had sent here. maybe some cleaning will get done while i wait. or not.

happy Weekend Eve! hope everyone has a great day! or at least great-ish. :becky:

Morning!!!

I have no plans for today. We thought about going to the zoo to the new Sting Ray Touch Tank exhibit, but I'm fairly certain it will be crazy. With the CWS going on, it's all crazy downtown anyway. We might go swim. We might go buy Ben a bike that we didn't do yesterday... I SHOULD clean and do laundry. We did get Ben's clothes sorted out yesterday. Now I don't have to worry that he is putting on shorts too small or shirts that make him look goofy. :) And everything fits in his dresser again, so that's a bonus.

Tonight we have baseball practice. It's going to be 90...blech. We also have to take a table and chairs to my MIL and pick up the supplies to make cheesy potatoes for one of the two bridal showers this weekend.

Let me rant on these showers/weddings for a minute. These are DH's cousins. I really don't mind the one wedding. Becca and AJ have been dating for a long time and are doing the whole traditional wedding thing and had their wedding date set forever ago. No big deal. But the other one...the one that lives almost 4 hours away...is frustrating. She has a crappy fiance. They've broken up a couple of times, he cheated on her, had a kid with someone else.... Somewhere in January I think, she proposed to him. I'm not against that idea, but he took a freakin week to decide before he said yes. I'm sorry, but wtf? Why do you think this is going to go well? Her sister is stationed in Hawaii, but their time there is up and they are moving, I think back to the east coast. So her sister had already planned to take time off for home for the first wedding. And since her "baby clock is ticking" (the way her mom described it), she didn't want to wait another year to get married. So they decided to have their wedding the week BEFORE the first cousin. And then everyone decided to have showers on the same weekend for both of them so that the family didn't have to travel so much. I think it's tacky, not fair to Becca, and a dumb idea to marry someone like that. It annoys me that we have so much time taken out of our summer now. Can't go on vacation the one weekend, can't go the next... *sigh* Ok. End rant.

Now some personals.

Chris - I think the boys were right, but I do understand you being upset. We want to protect them always. I'm glad you had a great day yesterday. I hope today is just as enjoyable! Top Secret 21 was ok. Not as good as the others. It simply didn't move anything along with any of the characters. Except maybe Grandma Mazur and Briggs, which was humorous. There wasn't anything special between Stephanie and either Joe or Ranger. So that was boring. Not her best book, but a short fun read. :)

As much as teaching/education is screwed up, I think it would suck worse to be in health care or insurance. What a stupid system we have. I'm so glad we don't have to deal with it to often and feel horrible for people like you Chris that do!

Phylis - Sounds like a nice calm day for you. Enjoy it!

Good morning I had not been able to get on the site for the pat couple days but my iPhone works. Well I have been busy grilling. Who needs boys. Made chicken breast marinated and they were juicy and tasty and not burnt. I am using the Weber grill app on my phone. Watching soccer and scrapping. Got in good walks.

Chris I can't believe how bad the Noncommunication is between everyone and insurance companies. So sorry. Glad that the accident was minor. And yes you will always want to protect. Opp off to get hair washed. Be back to finish later

All, sorry to run, but hope you have a great day & weekend.
