Daily Ooo's: Friday, June 12: Faery is in Stealth Mode Edition

Shhhhhh... Puppy's sleeping....

I tiptoed around the house to get Cait's and my coffee this morning, Jaida whined a bit in her crate but then went back to sleep. I just grabbed another cup and she is still sleeping.

Eep. Cait just came downstairs for breakfast. Don't wake the puppy!

Woo hoo for Friday! I cannot wait to go to PA. I have absolutely no plans once I get there. I still have to pack, I started yesterday but didn't get too much done. Gary and I decided to do my IV this afternoon instead of tonight and I will skip tomorrow night's dose. SO much eaier than packing all of the meds up. Last year, when I was doing IV Claforan, it was in a "push" Just a large syringe that I could do myself once it was connected- this is tubing and IV bags and the pole. If I were going to be there for more than 2 nights I would have no choice, but this will be ok.

We didn't get to go to Scott's work restaurant last night. Between Cait not feeling good and there was a dinner party scheduled, he thought it best that we wait until next week.

Jaida is smart, just in case you didn't know that yet. When we were playing fetch, there is one part of the yard that she chokes herself on. I put an recycling bucket a few feet before that spot, stood there, and if she tried to run past, I said NO! After a few times of trying to get around the other side, she knew to stop and drop the ball for me in front.

Off to the Breast Center this morning and then I am off for the weekend.
I will try to check in on my tablet if it lets me. That thing is not good for much other than reading books, but I can try.

How did you sleep last night, Trudy? Hope it was a good one and that the birds woke you when your body was ready. I have to say that there is a squirrel that chatters outside my window non-stop in the mornings. The birds sound pretty, he is just annoying!
Yeah- ginger ale, ginger tea, ginger gum. Gary makes candied ginger from fresh ginger root too. They all help temporarily, to some degree. That is crazy about the berries and hay. We were at a wold preserve a couple of years ago and they had said how the wolves are shedding/growing winter coats all crazy too. Mother Nature does not like how we are messing with her.
Hope you got a good swim in!

Nancy- I just love hearing about your talks with your sister. Did you two ever fight?
I haven't been to Sandy Hook in a while but we used to go there when I was a kid b/c it was close and cheap. But IIRC, it is a State Park, maybe that is why you had to?
But so worth it! Sounds like a wonderful ride, and how cool that your Garmin tracks all of that.

Jean- I am so sorry to hear that your sister is not well Many good healing thoughts to her and strength and support to you.
Hope that the PT works like a charm for your knee.
She has Prescription Zofran to take when her stomach gets bad, but it works sometimes and doesn't sometimes. Wish I knew what to do about it all.

Good morning! Yesterday was awesome. Had a fantastic dinner with my girlfriends. The food was so good and we just had fun talking. I did get my bike ride in and it was so fun. It is funny how I don't feel the heat when riding - I guess the breeze blowing past but then I get home and there is no breeze and then I get hot LOL. Our neighbors put up their fence and it sure makes a difference in our backyard too. Today is another bike ride. Tonight is the US women's soccer game.

Chris have a great time. Enjoy doing nothing!

Trudy can't wait to see hear how much you love your fence.

Jean hope the knee continues to improve. And hope your sister gets better and you find out more information. Being in the dark is always the worst.

Morning ladies another dry and sunny day here, but the temps have dropped a bit, so it feels more like what June should be. No rain in sight yet :sad:

Chris - I had to laugh about you tiptoeing around your house, guess the chaos begins when the puppy wakes up LOL. It funny how the birds are chirping so loudly around 5am, then after about 10 mins. they completely stop :noidea: But to have a squirrel making all that racket would drive me crazy!! You are right I think Mother Nature is pissed off at all of us for abusing her!! If this keeps up our beautiful Island will become a desert with no lakes, or rivers. Hopefully it will never come to that! Too bad you did not get to go out for your dinner, maybe next week everyone will feel better! Have a wonderful time on your little get away!! No plans are good plans! Just relax and let everyone spoil you!! You deserve it my friend!

Nancy - How awesome that you are out bike riding now too!! You will be in great shape with all the walking and biking you are doing! I am up to 35 laps in the pool now and although my body weight does not seem to change, I am feeling good with lots more energy. With my thyroid problems I can't imagine how much I would weigh if I did nothing at all everyday!!
Sounds like you had a fun time with your girlies at dinner, it is so important to have our girlfriends isn't it!!

Jean - I hope that your knee will continue to improve! I am so sorry to hear about your dear sister! It is sad when our siblings are ill, we feel so helpless ! I am also sending you lots of healing thoughts and strength to you and your sister! :hug: You are right my neighbours are nuts

Well the fence painting is finally done and it looks great! So happy to have that job out of the way! It was around 8am when I started to paint and as soon as I got out there wouldn't you know it my neighbours started to scream at one of the kids, outside on their deck, those poor kids they have the worst parents in the world!! Really? you have to do that outside in the early morning?? There are others around you who are still sleeping and mostly we don't need to know your business, take it in the house!! God give me strength not to kill my neighbours!! ray: Off to get coffee and hopefully spend my morning in peace and QUIET!! Then meeting my sister downtown for a visit. Have a great Friday everyone!! Nancy, enjoy reading about your good times. Enjoy the soccer tonight. We didn't have a good time with the basketball outcome last night but still have hopes.

Trudy, my SIL has nuts neighbors too and they drive her wild. Sadly not much to do about them. At least the fence is painted!

My sister had the thing on her side removed (I mentioned it before) but no further word on it. She's been moved to a different (regular) area of the hospital, so things may be better. Hope to see her today and my nephew will be back tonight.
