yeah, I know-- I am a bit behind schedule again. I woke up to pouring rain and I am moving slower than usual. Poor Cait also needed a bit of mom-counseling and comfort. She got her hair cut yesterday and they cut off *way* more than she asked. Her hair was past her butt and she only wanted an inch off and the stylist cut off about 5". It isn't even waist length. She understands it isn't the end of the world but I know that this had been a goal for a long time. Plus, she is starting to worry more about Clover and her surgery. Those rats are her babies.

Yesterday went as expected. The Dr looked at my MRI and said that there is nothing structurally wrong with my neck other than the degeneration of some of the discs. But nothing out of the norm. She is going to send all of the info over to my Lyme Dr, with the suggestion of looking into neurological damage. she said that the best neurologists are out of Columbia University in NYC which is where I had my brain SPECT done years ago. But I don't want to have to travel to the City for more drs. I don't want to travel *anywhere* for more drs. :lalala:

Today, I am going to do a bit of cleaning around the house to get ready for my brother coming up tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, the rain will stop too since we are getting water in the basement. But at least I don't have to water my gardens. :p

Finish it Friday:
My goal is to finish cleaning my house!

Have a wonderful day!

BTW- if I haven't opened this thread when you get here, *please* go ahead and do that if you'd like. This isn't *my* thread but all of ours. OK?

Rae- I have been loving all of the Taz scrap pages you have been posting, I love that face of his! Since we have had so much rain, all I smell is wet Ravyn. She had that Lab fur that just doesn't like to dry or absorb. I dried her off but all I smell is wet dog.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Hope that you got all of the work done that you needed too. Are you off to the trailer this weekend?

Jean- it is quiet here. I hope that everyone is ok. I know that Trudy is still on Baby Watch. Hopefully, she will have good news to share soon.
Yikes about the roof and the rain. Maybe you will see some sun over the next few days and can get that taken care of.

Hugs to all!

good morning - I have been so non productive and it drives me crazy. My sciatic is still giving me the fits so no walks and no cooking and it just is not fun. But this too will pass. I have been having fun reading and I have read well on my sixth book. These are not deep thinking books they are romance so they are just fun and take me away from feeling sorry for myself. Feel worst for Luther poor guy just does not understand. It is the pits today anyway - rain and clouds and humid.

Chris so glad that you are feeling so well. Hope it keeps up! Sorry about Cait's hair and her rat. That is scary about the branch fall! Glad you guys were safe. Great news about Scott and his job prospects.

Rae you are a busy woman. Sounds like Taz is having a great summer. So glad that you are having such a great span of weather. Enjoy! Your food sounds great.

Jean Hi! glad you are getting back into scrapping though I know genealogy is your passion.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Got up 1/2 early this morning to make sure I had showered and dressed before Beckham got here. We'll have him until Sunday afternoon. I've taken a few photos of him in the yard and will bring my camera to the trailer too. Today is going to be busy with work and trying to give Beckham lots of help and attention. I took him out front and let him hop around the yard a bit as the grass is safest for him in case he face plants, and his energy level is still low from chemo so walking to the river/trails is not a possibility for him. But he seemed happy enough trotting around the big bush out front and then stood at Darrell's van for 15 minutes wanting to get in LOL, I was chatting with my neighbor during this time and stubborn Beckham really wanted to get in the vehicle. He wasn't happy when I guided him back into the house. Taz was confused as he couldn't figure out why we weren't leaving the yard, not going to the river across the street LOL.

So we're back inside, I'm going to go get some work done and we'll be heading out later this afternoon to the trailer. Looking forward to sitting outside on the deck with a book, relaxing, and I think Beckham will enjoy all the smells out there and hopefully won't get too stressed about not being able to go for a walk out there (gravel roads too dangerous for him if he falls). BTW....I had posted in the Whats For Dinner thread about using up leftover artichoke and parmesan dip as a topping to baked chicken and veggie chunks (cauliflower and green pepper strips) last night and oh boy....was it ever good. That is going into my binder of recipes to make again (and again). I don't know why I didn't think of that before, such an easy yummy topping to put over meat.

I was outside with the dogs when my neighbor pulled up (she had moved out months ago, is getting divorced and was over to do some cleanup before open house) so we finally got a chance to talk. It felt good to have her say "holy cow, how much weight have you dropped?". We talked about keto and she is going to give it a try when she gets back from her holiday soon. I love that I've inspired so many people to try the keto diet. I love helping people be healthier and happy.

Chris - good luck with all the medical stuff, I know its never-ending with you and you handle it so well. You are one of the strongest people I know. You amaze me with your strength and how you handle life with your humor. Hope you have a good visit with your brother and the rain stops.

Nancy - You might enjoy books by Karen Harper and Kristen Hannah if you haven't read them before. I find them fast easy reads with a bit of romance/mystery. I sure hope that sciatica settle down soon.

Trudy - saw the FB pic of you and Mason....love it! Enjoy the family time as you wait for baby to come.

I'm getting to work now. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

DH canceled his bird count this morning as T-storms were predicted - and arrived while he would have been out. More probably in store, but fairly nice right now. The art festival held near us is this weekend and all too often it rains during that.

Chris, I know how Cait feels about the haircut. Happened to me (though not as long hair) at about that age. Haven't been to a salon since - which is a VERY long time. Sure hope you continue feeling better and know you'll have a great family visit.

Nancy, so sorry about the sciatica!!! Sure hope something helps soon. DH spent some painful time with it but eventually PT and time got him past it. He saw a Dr. at the pain management clinic. That was really scary, but thank goodness it didn't come down to that.

Rae, how incredible that Beckham can come to visit! Hope Taz doesn't get too confused. Have a great weekend at the trailer.

Wishing everyone a great weekend!
