TGIF!! Woot woot!

Not a very nice Friday here, pouring rain (again...) We are supposed to be meeting up with my BFF and her kids and go to their gorgeous town pool. Not looking like that is going to happen.
But we'll head down there anyway and hang out. We are staying over too, so should be nice anyway.

My computer is running seriously slow, I am going to reboot and be back!
I'll bring coffee and bagels when I do!
 
I need the coffee for sure Chris. I hit the snooze 5 times I think this morning. Ughhh... But I'm off to the gallery to get my posts in before I take my shower. (Even if I'm running late.)
 
Sandra....Hi sweetie....sorry your butt is dragging so bad...but I am happy to hear about Mathew!! IKWYM about the paycheck...when my kids were little it was always worrying about the paycheck and sick kids....Ironic...When they are little you NEED to have the money coming in for them but have to miss to be with them....but when they grow up and leave you don't have to worry about missing work anymore...but the necessity for the extra money is not as strong....

LOL...makes me think about our house....and our remodel project last year...tell me if this makes sense: All those years with our 5 girls (in case I haven't told you guys clearly....you know I have two DD's and DH has 3 DD's from his first marriage)...only 1 and 1/2 bathrooms...we did just fine...but now they are all grown up...moved out...we decided we needed to make the bathroom DS into a full bath...HAHAHAHAHA!!! Actually we always wanted that...just couldn't afford it...So now we have 2 full bathrooms....

Hi Sally....Busiest lady I know!! I really can't quite figure how you get so much crammed into one day...Does TX have more hours in the day than VA does???

Dawn....Hi my dear....seems the SIL syndrome is a bad one!! I hear so many horror stories....I have three SIL's (my brother's wife...the crazy lunatic troublemaker....DH's Sister ...love her to death....and DH's brother's wife...Strange but nice). (((Hugs))) need to email you!! How's the internet?? got all the old stuff running okay??

Chris....Thanks dear...need that coffee!! and sorry the weather is messing things up...but sounds like a fun time will still be had!!

Well...I am off...I have some chores to do...then off to run errands...Third day out this week...Cameran is going to not like his Nana very much!! But when we get home I am going to get my paints out (I have a crafty project to do) and he will love that....

I am back with a huge coffee urn and platter of all kinds of bagels and butter and cream cheese-- help yourselves!
I need the coffee too, Linda- I could use more sleep than I am getting, for sure!

So my dr's appt went "well." LOL He thinks that my thyroid issue is a result from all of the Lyme meds I am on. I have been having low Thyroid blood results before the meds, but I really don't want to go on any other meds. He is going to see me in 3 months and re-test me and watch how things go.

He was actually much more concerned with my osteo. He wants another bone density scan done, to see if I have lost more bone mass in the last few years. And according to the nurse, I am now only 4' 11" 1/2, which means I lost 1/4"! Ahhh! I can't afford to lose a millimeter!

yay rah for me, more blood work, more drs appts....gah.

Ona- your work "vaca" sounded nice, but I am with ya- I would want to be home relaxing by now too.

Linda W- ITA- I would not say I am a "bunny person" but Davy makes me so want to go and get one! If I lived closer to Dawn I'd be bunny sitting all of the time LOL

I think I need so get some evil faery mojo on to Sharon's SIL. Man, what a b****! Self centered and bratty! All it shows is how insecure the SIL is. And how blessed your DD is! I love her too- and I only know her through you and Mafia wars :lol:

Dawn- you had to live next door to your IL's?? Gah!! I am so so soooo very lucky that I get along with all in my IL's and my IL's families. But I couldn't imagine living next door. Esp. if they are nasty!

Cripes Sara, you too? I am counting my blessings- my one SIL (my brother's wife) I adore with all of my heart. My other SIL (Gary's brother's wife... well, she's ok.... she is a bit snooty I guess. We get along great face to face but she isn't my type as a best friend.
How did Ben do at the dentist? Was this his first visit?

LOL Sally- the other day I didn't shower- I was working outside. Then Caitlyn asked me to bring her to her friend's house. They had just gotten home from 16 days in Ireland. Oooh boy, did I hear it from her mom (Kelly Wiggins, our Mafia friend LOL)- She was just teasing, but she said I should have come into see her and pics etc. She was darn lucky I didn't LOL Hope your stamping workshop was awesome!

Sandra- hugs~~~~~ hope you can get some rest this weekend.

Goooood morning my lovely Os! Hope today finds everyone happy and well :).
I am barely awake this morning LOL. Came home from work a little early yesterday with a migraine, thanks to my doc being off and having to stare at that tiny little computer allllll day long under the bright lights, ugh. Then I couldn't sleep last night...
yesterday would have been my daddy's 61 b-day and it was on my mind....then when I finally tried to go to sleep and just barely dozed off I could have sworn I heard my grandma's voice which scared me to death worrying something was wrong with her. Ended up taking a Xanax and zonking after about an hour. I think my grandma was on my mind cause of daddy, but also there was a break in near them yesterday...2am...an 18-yo boy kicked in a sleeping family's garage door then went through the house noisily...the father got up and got a gun and told the boy to stop but the boy didn't and started saying "Dad" over and over again...and the man shot him. The boy was just injured then but went to the garage and got into the family car and tried to drive off but the man shot him again, he later died at the hosp. Turns out he was high on 'shrooms and who knows what and apparently did not know where he was. I just can't fathom this man shooting the boy after him saying "dad"....he obviously was out of it...seems like he could have just tackled him or something. I guess I can't know what I would do in the situation but still. I am really sad over it. The kids at the home where the boy partied all got arrested which I think is good, they all say they tried to get their friend to stay because he was so 'messed up' but he wouldn't. I called my grandma after I heard about this cause I didn't know the exact location....guess that's why she was on my mind.

Anyhow, I am really, really enjoying my new Bamboo Craft (only downside is that it comes with a cd of 'embellishments' most of which are by Amanda Dykan so I can't use them due to some of them were not her designs. It also comes with a DVD of tutorials which I hven't watched yet, a free 8x8 Shutterfly book, and some software including PSE6 which I already have and Corel Painter4. My old internet is running great, even better than before for some reason LOL. DH is in a heck of a bad mood about being out $180 for that stupid satellite internet...I think I will call and demand that $80 since it was for a month of service which I am not even using, grrrr.

Ok, enough about me LOL.
 
Chris-girl you are soooo young for osteo! That reminds me I need to start on calcium w/D....since I've had a hyst especially. mmmm bagels, I'll have a Pepsi with mine LOL.
You know, you get more blood work than 200 of our lab patients a day, you are practically a pin cushion....I'm so sorry you have to go through all of that :(.

LindaW-hellooooo my friend! I saw your comment about the extra money not being necessity, I soooo wish that were the case for us...I'd give anything to not work now. What was I thinking at age 30 when I decided to go back to school because I wanted a career? LOL we did fine without the extra $$ but now we wouldn't be able to do without cause of my car payment, cell phones, internet, satellite tv, bike payment, house payment, etc, etc, etc...not to mention all of our meds ugh. Plus, knowing that SSI and Medicare may be a thing of the past when we are eligible....double ugh. ROFL about your bathroom situation! Sounds like something we'd do :).

good morning! I got up at 4:30 a.m. this morning and was sitting at work by 6:15 a.m.... worked for an hour and 20 mins and then headed back home since Piper has her kindergarten thing this morning at 9:30... then I have to take her to daycare and back to work I go... I'll probably be there until 6:00 tonight... got a list of calls a mile long for things I need to check on... am not sure I'll get it al done, but at least I checked a few this morning...

Piper's being totally whiny this morning about going to this kindergarten thing... she's upset because she didn't get to go with Daddy and the boys... she looks so cute this morning all dressed up... she's meeting her teacher, Mrs. Snow, this morning and she'll get to play some little games so they can assess how much she already knows...

Morning. *Pouring an extra big cup of coffee.* I stayed up way too late. I wanted to get various things done and I just stayed up too late. =) On the upside, I got my Oscraps Creative challenge done. =)

Ben's first dentist appointment was just fine. They couldn't get the xrays because he's got a pretty good gag reflex. The hygentist actually said his mouth is small. But she said it doesn't really matter right now anyway. He got a new toothbrush and was excited. He did great. We also visited his new daycare and he was excited about that, so that's good. It was a little sad thinking of taking him from this home to this big center, but he needs more educationally.

I'm going to do quick personals than I need to get moving (if I can).

Chris - I'm glad your appointment went sort of well. I'm only 5'1", but my mom was 4'11". My friends affectionately called her Mama Smurf after she wore a blue sweatsuit one day. =)

Linda W. - Paints are always fun! Hope you have a great day even though there are errands to run.

Linda S. - I'm probably going to be later than I'd like too. =) Hope it doesn't affect you too much!

Dawn - I'm sorry you had a migraine and sad thoughts yesterday. I hope your day goes better today! Don't you think it's bizarre that I can't even get the requests from Sally and Cora about your friend suggestion?

Sandra - Hope your busy day gets a lot done, so you don't have another busy day. =)

Happy Friday everyone! It is going to rain here again it seems, but we need it! Just wish the mosquitoes would go away! UGH!

My kids are going stir crazy because it is wet from last night which means no playing outside today. I think I have run out of ideas of stuff to do...lol.

I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! Lots of FUN! :) I am looking forward to taking the little ones to the park. YAY!

It's awfully quiet in here today. I'm just chilling before I pick Ben up. I didn't eat lunch and worked straight through on my big huge bulletin board at school. It's not totally done yet, but when it is, I'll share pictures. =) So now, I'm munching. Not healthy stuff either. Chips and pudding. =)

OK. Well, I might try to get another layout started while I wait for a few more minutes. Hope everyone had a good day!!!
 
Hey ladies!! I am so tired...so this will be short. I really need to get moving on my BOTCT challenge this week. As a matter of fact I am going to pull out my laptop in a minute and get on it. I think it seems really hard. I took E to the airport yesterday. It went really well, although as soon as he was on the plane my mom called and I started bawling. I was glad he didn't see me though. He was afraid he was going to cry but he didn't. Then this morning I checked my phone thinking I had missed the call that he got in safely...since I was sleeping. I stayed even later to make sure my phone was charged and the ILs didn't even bother to call to say he got there safely. That really bothered me and I made a few comments about it when I got ahold of them but they didn't see it as a big deal and didn't even apologize. they can be so great sometimes and other times so thoughtless. Ugh!!

So, last night I got a call from a friend of mine who invited me and dh to go see Kenny Chesney tomorrow. That should be fun. We have some things to work out to make it work...I am having a garage sale tomorrow...but it should come together fine. We'll see.

Well, that is about it at the moment...I did want to say to Linda though...I am so sorry that you dd gets treated so crappy by the ILs. That is horrible. Jealousy creates such cruelty. I hope your dd sees that and doesn't take it personally. People are just so thoughtless sometimes.

Well, I am off. I need to make some phone calls for work and then scrapping here I come. Love you guys!! Have a great weekend!!

Sara, I know how hard that dropoff for Ben will be for you. But it will be great to see him challenged. Sydney and Shaun both start a new school this year and it makes me nervous! For different reasons! Can't wait to find out who the teachers are and what the expectations are!

Dawn, sorry about you missing your dad! And I know what you mean about that money circle...I work, I should get to spend some, now I have to work. LOL The circle of my life!

Linda W. is the shower tomorrow? I get a little confused during the week. :}
 
well, I finally called it quits at work just after 5 today... my brain was fried, I was tired, and if I needed help there was no one to give it to me... I hate when they wait til the last minute to decide we need something done... I didn't get all mine finished, but I did the best I could do so they'll just have to deal LOL...

Piper did really well on her assessments today... on her literacy checks (lower and upper case recognition, letter sound recognition, initial sound recognition, rhyming recognition, rhyme production and writing her name) she scored 91/100... for her math learning checks (recognizing colors and shapes, rote counting to 20, number identification 1-20, one to one correspondence, math concepts, sorting, patterns and writing numbers 1-10) she scored 98/100... they didn't test her on this but she can also count to 30 in Spanish LOL...

so just a busy day all the way around... but I hope everyone had a great day...
