Happy FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!
Iy yi yi. What a week. (mumbles some more about days/weeks/months/2020 is the *worst*)

Nothing interesting is happening here in my little 50'x100' bit of property. Sameoldsameoldsameold.
My mom is on her way in to the surgical center this morning. It is a two hour procedure with about -

hehe, my mom just called me. She didn't want to tell me yesterday that she was going to call before she left in case she was either running late or was too worked up to call. She said that Xanax is a good thing. :D

- so yeah, the 2 hours for the surgery itself and then 4-5 hours in the recovery room. I am glad that she called, she made me laugh with her message to Caitlyn- she was putting makeup on and that she picked out purple shadow and she was going to make sure it was applied evenly. She has this crazy habit of making one eye darker than the other, or one is blended and the other isn't. My makeup maven of a DD is always on her case about it. ha!!!

I worked on installing stuff yesterday and Gary was able to help a lot. I love being married to an IT guy :typing: A lot of my Firefox and Chrome extensions needed to be reinstalled and all of my PS setting were back to default. It is strange having things not set up the right way and of course, I am struggling with how to get them back.

More of that today. Sorry I have been so -- off- recently. It has been a lot.

hope all of you are doing great!!!

Nancy and Jean-- how was baseball last night? Was it weird seeing them play without fans?

Jean- I have to say that I am really proud of you. It would be so easy for a lot of people to be negative about the class experiences and struggle with the assignments. I would have given up. And yet you are just so determined to figure it all out and be happy with it. :high5: Is today the last day? Enjoy it all!!!

Kay- I feel like that worn out capacitor! ha! But I am glad it was an easy if $$ fix. Whew! I am so sorry that the family stuff hasn't resolved itself yet but I am still sending as many hugs and thoughts you need.
Her feet have ballooned up again and she gained 10 lbs of fluid in the last week so the stents will be a godsend. Thx for the return hugs!

Nancy- Oh wow!!! We had crazy storms up here but I cannot imagine being outside in it. What a mess. My heart goes out to these restaurants that are trying so hard to stay open. And the flooding- how scary, and thank goodness you didn't get stuck in that. My poor Luther but have been scared with the thunder, give him more belly rubs from me. The stroms hit us too but nowhere near as bad as you did. Thunder and lightening but no floods or trees down.
My DD always has us laughing. Can't tell you how happy it makes me that she can get my mom laughing when no one else can. Scott too. They have such a way with her.

OT: She was looking for a place to store her diploma and she found some of her Kdg journals that I saved. They were sentence prompts with a picture. She is the same exact person as she was then. Everything was about cats and dogs and the bears and dinosaurs ate leaves and carrots, no meat. The funniest one was a sentence that she wanted to pet our cat but the drawing was of her sobbing, saying "ples ples ples"to me and I am saying "No no no." She thinks it was when we got Merlin and I was teaching how to nicely pet a cat. Gary and I were dying!! :pound:

Trudy- The walk must have felt so good to be outside and in the fresh air. It wasn't too hot? Sound like a nice day with visiting your sister and happy birthday to your BIL.
I was really surprised at the marigolds, I checked them last night and all of the transplants are blooming. Sorry that the mosquitos are snacking in you so much. Weird that they switched preferences with you over your Gary.

waving hi to everyone!! xoxo

Happy Friday ladies!! It has gotten cloudy and cooler over night, so that was really nice for sleeping! Had a great sleep and woke up at 7am. I then got my online grocery order in and will be able to pick it up between 4-6pm. This is my Gary's last day of work for two weeks, so you know that we will be very busy getting all the jobs done that we have been putting off until he was on holidays. We would have gotten them done earlier, but seeing as we can't fly out to Ontario (well we can fly, but we are not ready to get on a plane right now) to see the kids and grands then we thought we may as well do them now. Anyway I will enjoy my last day of having the house to myself and I will do some crafty things today! Yesterday I had a nice visit with sister and her DH, her grandkids showed up and surprised their Grandfather for his birthday! They are really nice kids, well they are not kids they are all grownups, so I left shortly after as I did not want to interrupt their time together and it is hard to socially distance ourselves in my sister's little house LOL.

Chris - I am happy that your Mom is getting her procedure done! Ugh on the swollen feet, my MIL has horrible swollen feet, most likely from the meds that she is on. However I know for a fact that she would never have surgery done of any kind, she thinks that would be the end of her, so she suffers each and every day!!! She will be 84 this August and so there is no changing the way she thinks now. It is very frustrating!! Sending lots of healing vibes out to your Mom! I hope that she is soon home and feeling so much better!

Jean - Enjoy your last class session today! I hope that it is fun for you and enjoy your baseball game tonight too!

I am waiting on a face time call from Heather and the boys, she has taken them to the park this morning. It is finally opened up again as Ontario is entering stage three. Hope its not too crowded!! Then they will be packing up to go to meet our son and travel back to Ottawa! Sure hope Hunter does not make a big fuss about his Dad not joining them  he loves his Daddy so much! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday! I think I will look at the miniO's today and perhaps see what I can get done with those today!

good morning - well it was thunder and lightning all night long. I am now tired. LOL Now just as the dog was ready to go on a walk and rain storm came through. Poor puppy. Had a good talk with my sister. She said one of her granddaughter (6 yr old) was mad when her mom came home from getting her hair done because now her mom's hair looked better than hers. Kids can say the funniest things and feel things so unexpected. Got some scrapping done. And then watched baseball. Since I rarely go to live baseball games it was not much different watching without fans. If they stopped talking about it I think people watching would forget. They pipe in crowd noise which was weird. More weird for me was the no celebrations. Of course the Yankee game had a rain delay but was eventually called for a Yankee win. The Mets play at 4 pm today so that will be interesting. The new hockey team is Seattle finally told us their name - the Seattle Kraken. A cool logo. An S with a red eye and part of the S is a tentacle. Oh just got notice that a transformer near us blew. For once we did not lose power. There was a flicker but all is good! Knocked on wood.

Chris sending good thoughts for you and your mom on her surgery today. I am sure it is hard to wait. How cute that she likes Xanax. Are you getting rain today? I am tired of this lol I just want sun!

Jean have fun watching baseball. I enjoyed for sure! Enjoy this last session too!

Trudy glad the hike was so good. A walk is nice. I am sure you will be super busy during your MG's vacation. Sorry you won't be heading east. I am sure Heather is enjoying the park.

Kay glad the AC was a quick fix!
