@clara: Im at the store team for scrapable and finished my first layout, Im really glad, this took as nearly one day

This night was really horrible, maybe it was too hot for Amelie, I dont have another reason, 1 am she woke up screaming and crying, and I had to carry her out of bed, she didnt want to sleep in my arms, so we went to the living, not to wake michael,
there she screamed again the whole time, then I lay her down on the cool floor on a towel and we fall both asleep there. At 2 am michael stood in front of me and said I shall come back, he cant sleep when Im not there. lol, like a child
Amelie did her screaming several times this night, and wanted to go out of bed at 8 am, lol, Im so tired, and have so much to do. Hopefully I can sleep at miday, would be great.

good morning and Happy Friday! quick hello for me... I want to try to get to work a little early today and make up some time... it's raining cats and dogs here this morning with thunder and lightning... lovely weather and this cold front is supposed to cool us off considerably!

Bailey is doing well... lots of salivating which is normal... her incision was oozing yesterday but seems to have stopped...

Good morning and TGIF! (TGIS for Ona )

Its so weird working like I do, and with Gary and the kids being home every day. Its like there is no weekend! I wish it would feel more like all weekend, and no week, but... alas No such luck.

Yesterday I made a bunch more stuff for the shop...at least it feels like I made a lot. When you work from 9-6 and only have a small box of things, it isn't so "accomplished" feeling. I also started on a small pair of hot pink wings - perfect for a little girl

Today Gary is going to upstate NY to his friend's "cabin" where our broken down Harley is. It is almost back to running, so they are going to bring it back down, and hopefully Gary can finish it up and sell it. I know that once it is running again, he is going to want to keep it. *eye roll*

My parents are coming up today too.My dad is going to take Scott fishing and my mom and I and Cait are going to the lake. Should be nice!

Off to get some more coffee, but I'll be back in a few for personals.

Aaahhh coffee! That took a bit longer - I wanted to see a bit onthe news about a text that is going around to kids , like an email fwd, saying that if they didn't pass the message along, someone would come and kill them.

Maybe I am totally old fashioned, but I kind of think that if your kid is old enough to have a cell and be texting, then maybe they should also be old enough to recognize that as an urban legend?
Then the news person said that this is a "3rd, 4th, 5th grade issue." Huh?? Why does a 3rd grader need a cell?? I don't get it! Scott got one when started 7th grade and has along walk home from the bus. And now of course has more freedom to be on his own. Cait will most likely get one when she is in 7th. We pay for the service, and he pays for the texting package and the same will go for her.
But where are these kids going that they are alone... in 3rd grade?

Hi Cornelia, I am so sorry to hear that Amelie had a rouhg night. Both of my babies were screamers and I know how exhausting both physically and mentally it is. Hang in there!!)

Sandra- hope you get a good full day of work in today. Good to hear that Bailey is feeling better too. Did the vet give you the speech about keeping her calm? I love that- Uhh, yeah, she has her brother, she is going to want to play

ME- you sound like me, always running behind Hope it is a great day for you today! Friday! woot!

Tali-- Happy b-day to the twinks!! Time really flies, doesn't it! You must be so happy how goog they are doing!

NeeNee- so happy that you are getting some good relaxing time!

Clara- My friend and I watched Confessions a few weeks ago- yes, cute and light, perfect for a girls night with some wine
I started to read the book, but I couldn't get into it, I guess I don't understand shopping.
How was Ice Age? I always like to get to know parents first too before I let my kids hang out on their own. Not so much anymore with Scott- he'd never let me, but I try to do it more quietly behind the scenes. Call me nosy, but I want to know!
Glad to hear that Addie is better! It is so hard to watch little ones be sick
Poor Ethan and his hair- did you get a pic? Totally sounds like a scarp moment

Clare- oh how nice! I have only been horseback riding a few times as a kid and I remember loving it.

Linda P- woot on your garden, do you have pics posted? And I love choc zuch. bread! Oooh I hope I get some big enough zuch's!

Linda S- LOL- yes, raccoons are less scary than bears! I am so happy for you that you are taking the fam to Coz. I am also totally jealous! LOL I have to be honest! But you are going to have sooo much fun!

Good morning. Learned something new this morning! If I hit my snooze two times (or maybe it was three) it doesn't wake me up! So I'm running an hour late anyway and decided I'd stop in here to say good morning. Usually I'd be at work by now. ;-) The good thing about my job is that, since I'm exempt and I don't have any meetings until 8:30 no one cares that I'm not there. Of course, the work still must get done which means there are many hours over 40 each week. Oh well, glad to have a job in this environment.
Chris, I really do wish you were going to be there this time. And I understand...I couldn't leave my family behind either. But I promise to make it for next year as well.

Need to go jump in the shower. See you ladies this weekend. I've got some time set aside for SCRAPPING!!! YES!!!

Wow...It was WILD here yesterday!! Kids running around being all crazy!! They were having a GREAT time!! They were all finally in bed and quiet by 10:30! Whew!!!! Everyone is still asleep this morning...except Cameran...he's right here on the couch beside me...."NANA...when is anyone going to get up and play with me?".

They are leaving around lunchtime...Alison wants to get to her MOM's..she lives about 45 minutes from here. She will stay there two nights and be back here Sunday Morning..then go home Monday afternoon ...We get to spend so little time with them! and it's always so rushed (especially when she comes here since she has to split time with MOM and DAD...the bad part of a split family!!)

I think Cameran has some kind of bug! He has a fever of 100.5 (gave him tylenol a few minutes ago..should come down) and says his belly hurts...but doesn't stop him from wanting to play. DD will be calling anytime to check on him...she will want to take off from work and run get him...Since she is pregnant...she FREAKS out about everything...she is normally not like that!

Better go get my kitchen up and running...I have a lot of breakfast cooking to do!! WOW..breakfast cooking during the week!!

Hi ladies, TGIF! Doing anything fun this weekend? I am leaving work early ... to go to the dentist - need a filling done. Yuck. But tomorrow, we've got some friends coming over for a BBQ. And I hope to do some scrapping - I've been feeling not very creative the past week or so. Maybe it's time to do some digi shopping to get the mojo going - it is pay day after all. LOL.

Cornelia - my night sounds like yours. Christian woke up at around 1:30 am and he just wouldn't go back to sleep at all, and since we both had to get up for work, we took him to our bed. AAUGH! But at least we all got some sleep.

Linda - hope your work day goes quickly. We hit snooze too many times this morning, and I was totally shocked when DH told me what time it was! You should've seen me leap out of bed.

Chris - Enjoy the lake! Sounds very peaceful.

Sandra - hope you have a good day at work!

I know I've been MIA. I got back from Chicago at 1:30 a.m. between Monday and Tuesday. Then my child did a nice guilt trip. "I don't want you to leave me again."..as I dropped him off at day care. So Tuesday afternoon we played all afternoon. Wednesday I had class. Then I had some major assignments to get graded. I finished that yesterday afternoon and Ben and I went for a play date. I did nothing last night and loved it. I'm feeling quite a bit better today. Still have stuff to grade, but it's not as pressing. I've missed you guys!

Cornelia - I'm sorry you've been so hot! That makes it so difficult to sleep.
Sandra - How's the job going? Who's Bailey?
Chris - You need to make your own weekend. Weekends are essential. Isn't it crazy with the phone thing? My building is 3rd - 5th and we have issues with kids bringing their cell phones. The third graders do, though usually more toward the end of the year. Some of them do walk back and forth from school and those are usually the ones that have the phones. Though some of the others get one too. It does seem a little crazy to me and I'm working with these kids!
Linda S. - Don't you love that you have that flexibility? You may need to make up the work, but to remove the stress of having to be there right at a certain time is nice.
Linda W - Ben has a little cough too. Seems there is a little summer bug going around. I hope Cameran feels better soon!

Sara - I used to go every year! This was my first year not going since I am doing more web stuff than library stuff now. What a fun conference though, and Chicago is such a great city. Isn't that exhibit hall something?

hey girlies...just putting the finishing touches on my packing. Mr GOrgeous is taking us at two this afternoon to the airport! I'm excited and nervous about the flight! I'll calm down once we get in the air. I don't think I'm as bad as Tali with white knuckle flying, but my mom and sister are both really bad white knuckle flyers...which means I'll probably sit at the window. Poor girlies...i'll have to go to the bathroom a lot!! that's just me!

Anyway, I was trying to think up a way to get my kids to cozumel, too, but I think we'll have to plan that for next year, too. It was a major thing to get Mr Gorgeous to agree to the two of us coming!! (don't tell Cora, she doesn't officially know she is not coming! ) But we are working so hard to get rid of our debt, that we need to just come and sit at the resort for a few days without any extra expenses!! Mr Gorgeous really deserves it! He's been working SOOOOOO hard and I've been playing SOOOO hard!! heehee!!

Okay...enough procrastinating for me! I've got to get some emails out before I leave!! Love you all...Please check in on my on Facebook...I should be posting pics there regularly! and I'll be back on the 25th. Can you believe no laptop for 8 days???? WITHDRAWL!!!! (it'll be sooo good for me!!)

Good morning everyone. I'm glad it is Friday but not glad at the same time. Tomorrow night I am sending Ethan to Florida for a week with his buddy Cristian and his mom. i'm really excited for him to go and he is super excited about it...but he's leaving for a week. Then he'll come back for almost 2 weeks and then get onto a plane all by himself to go to Cleveland!!! Aaaaaaah!!! Then to make everything even better (sarcasm) Derek and I realized that our spending out of control. So, I finally have him convinced that we need to do Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. For those of you that don't know who he is...he is a financial advisor that helps people get out of debt with a Christian perspective on it. I was reading that the average family pays off $5400 worth of debt and save $2700 in the first 91 days. We need that. I know a lot of people who have done it who swear by it. Get dh on board was the hard part but he's on board now so we're going to start this weekend and try and get our debt and spending under control.

So, tonight we are going to go and see Harry Potter at the drive-in. It is further away than I'd like but my sis is meeting us in the middle. My dh made corned beef a while ago so we are going to get it cooked up and are going to take it to eat and my sis already got the snacks. It should be fun. I think all we will need now is some soda. I don't know what is playing with it but we may not stay for the second movie anyway. It just gets so late. And can you believe they play the first movie again after the 2nd? That is unreal. I don't know how people stay up that late.

Today I start my allergy shots. I found out my pcp won't give the allergy shots. She has a personal issue with them and will recommend them but won't give them in her office. But the doctor who owns the clinic said it wouldn't be an issue, so I just have to have them given through him. the clinic doesn't give them in general but since I work here they said they would. That way I don't have to go all the way across town to get them. I took my allegra today so let's hope I have no issues. My provider did order me an epi-pen. I'll need that on hand for the shots. I hope I don't have a reaction. That would stink.

So, I don't have a lot planned for this weekend. Just getting Ethan packed up to go on his trip. A friend of mine wants to hang out but I'm not so sure I want to. She is high drama and guilt trips me if I don't want to hang out. She called me at 9:30 last night to meet her at the bar. Like I can just come out because she has no job. her answer was...derek already said he'd watch the kids, since she called my house phone first to get ahold of me and I wasn't there. I don't go out on school nights. Not late like that. I just don't get some people and how they think and how they get annoyed because you can't do what they want. I am glad she is not the type of person I consider my close friend. Ugh!!

So...anyway...

Cornelia - that doesn't sound like any fun to be up all night with the baby. We did that Tuesday night when Addie had the flu. It was horrible. She was in our bed and we kept worrying that she was going to be sick. I hope you are able to get a nap in.

Sandra - I hope you were able to get some extra time in. I have gotten a little bit of extra time in this week. Don't you love a good rain storm when it has been hot for awhile? I know I do. We had a big storm last weekend. It was strange because I was sleeping and I thought someone was putting out their trash cans on the street. It is very strange the things you think when you are not fully awake. I'm glad Bailey is doing well.

Chris - If that store has your products selling quickly hopefully you'll be able to figure out a way to make things more in bulk so you don't have to spend so much time on them, but I don't know if that is possible. I'm glad they are keeping you busy though. I hope Gary gets his bike fixed and doesn't want to keep it. I am really pulling for you...but I also know how that goes. I am so with you on the phone thing...although I have to admit, we just bought Ethan a phone just yesterday...BUT...it is a pay per minute phone and it is just for his trips this summer. he doesn't get to carry it around while he is at home. Once he gets back it will get put into a drawer until the next time we need it for something. I am just not all about having a 6-7 year old having a phone for no good reason. No way!! He'll get a phone to actually use once he gets older. I'mnot sure I ever want him to have one, but we'll see. Times sure have changed.

LindaS - That snooze button sure is evil, isn't it? I get trapped in the snooze marathon too. Usually I just hit it once...kinda that power that I can get up when I want to and not because of some stupid alarm. If I could sleep in every day I definately would. That is awesome that you have the ability to go into work a little later.

Linda - Sounds like it is busy at your house, but so much fun. Poor Cameran!! I hope he starts feeling better soon. Why is all this sick stuff going around in the summer. No fun. I hope you had fun making breakfast. I want a good yummy breakfast too. Bacon, eggs and hashbrowns sounds awesome.

ME - I hope the scrapping mojo fairy visits you tonight in your sleep. I am not having a mojo isuue, just a motivation issue, and I need to get on it since I have to do a LO for a contest that I am in. I'm excited about it, just not motivated. Lame!!

Sara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was just wondering about you this morning. I'm glad the conference went well. That is sweet that Ben missed you so much even if he did try the guilt trip thing. Cute.

Sally - I hope you have an amazing time in AK!! I don't know how you wouldn't. We'll be missing you here waiting to hear all about your trip.

LindaP - I want to see your garden too. Yay for pictures!!

Good Evening Ladies!!

My other kiddos left me about 12...they will be back Sunday morning...Cameran hung in there like a trooper and played ..but he layed down as soon as they left...has been feeling very rough the rest of the day...His temp was up to 102 when his Mommy picked him up...

Gosh It's really quiet here!!

Just talked to my youngest DD....she has been potty training Jesse...and he asked to go potty for the first time! YAY!!

Cornelia....I am sorry your baby is having a rough time!! ((HUGS)) Hopefully things will get better soon!!

Sandra....SO Glad Bailey is doing well! We had a big storm last night and again this morning! We needed it to cool down a little! It's been blazing here!!

Chris...ITA on the phone thing!! My girls didn't get one until they were old enough to drive....They didn't go anywhere I couldn't call them on a regular phone before that anyway!! I am extremely OLD FASHIONED on that subject!! and when they got...they paid for it!! they also had to pay for their car insurance too...NO PAY..NO DRIVE!! So they both had little part time jobs to pay for those two things...I still gave them spending money and such..I just felt they needed to learn the responsiblity of paying bills and earning the things they wanted so badly!

LindaS...My DH hits the snooze button 3 times every day!! He couldn't live without it!! You are lucky to have a job to go in a little late...My DD does too! She loves it!!

ME...OUCH...filling at the dentist!! Hope it all went ok! Have fun at your BBQ this weekend and can't wait to see what you scrap!! ENJOY!!!

Sally...You probably won't see this...but if you do...HAVE A BLAST on your trip!!!

Chris - yeah, we actually have them in separate crates.. they didn't like it at first, but they've adjusted... Bailey's still drooling a lot, and I've been keeping water from her since she's still showing effects from the anesthesia because they said it can make her throw up...

weather here tomorrow is gonna be downright cold for July... only 71 tomorrow... then 74 on Sunday, but the rain is gone... I'm glad it came, the humidity yesterday was nasty...

okay.. I'm off to bed.. work was good, but I'm pooped!
