Felis- I totally know where you are coming from. I am boring myself trying to figure out what to write here every day. :pound:

*looks at calendar* Friday. Yup. July 10. *double digits*

Time is flying. Yet standing still. At the same time.
*nods sagely*

I do have to say that I slept better last night than the night before. I am still a bit sleepy but y'know, that seems to be the case every day. I had a funny dream that I was finally out in the real world and my hair was half dyed blond and brown but the roots to my chin was snow white! I bet that is what it will look like by the time I am actually out and about. haha!!

Yesterday was more of the same- housework and yardwork. It was disgustingly humid yesterday and could only be out for an hour. I was trimming back the forsythia in the yard that edges the woods. Maybe it will regrow in a bit fuller.
I cooked up some of the green beans from the garden with dinner last night. I am not crazy about them so I didn't have any. Gary told me that we have some tiny eggplants starting -- those I am excited about!

I woke up this morning with my desk chair already occupied. It was the skeleton that has been joining us for our theme nights. I thought it was Gary who put it there but he had no idea what I was talking about when I said that I had nowhere to sit this morning. A little later, he asked me if I had been in his bathroom and I hadn't. I guessed that the leg (the skeleton's leg fall s out of the socket occasionally) must have been in there-- and yes, it was propped up on the side of the tub, peeking out from the shower curtain. :p
I am thinking this was Caitlyn's doing, but whoever it was got us to laugh.

Today. What to do today? One nice thing I am going to do today is wash my new sheets!! :whoo: They feel very soft and hopefully will like them just as much as Kay does.
It looks like it is going rain today, which means I will be inside. Hopefully doing some scrapping- and figuring out WTH to cook for dinner.

Hugs to everyone!

Nancy- Are you in the TS Warning area? If you are, stay safe and dry.
Yay for Luther-- I can't believe he is 5!!!! Scratch his ears for me and give him a b-day kiss. There was no breeze up here yesterday- it was just sauna. I can' believe that your DH and Luther made it for such a long walk.
 No- we would *not* want to see that kind of a headline in the news. We saw a family of deer again on the camera in the woods the other day, and a bunch of squirrels and a raccoon. One of the deer has small antlers, so cute!
I am *horrified* that the Admin is trying to deport students. They really have no clue what they are doing Does your DH have a lot of students on visas? My god, such a heartbreaking mess.
My fingers are crossed that hockey comes back by the 25th and is good to go for a regular season. Is it just me being pessimistic that there is no way it going to happen?
MVC sucks no matter what they do hahaha! I waited for 4 hours when Scott got his license. But the lines were really bad-- they should have re-opened *and* extended the expiration dates for everything, although they did do that now. Better late than never? I was very happy to be able to renew everything online.

Trudy- Happy Birthday to your little man!! Three!! Wow!!! What did he do for his day?
The hike sounds very pretty! Slugs, huh? Did you get pics of them too? LOL
I *hate* that feeling that you see a pet that isn't. Or hear their tags. A couple of weeks ago, I swore I heard Floyd meowing. :(
Is this the first pet that has died for Sadie and Isaac? It is so hard, especially when it is sudden...

Cheryl- that is *wonderful* news!!! I am so happy and relieved that your family is on the road to getting better. Isn't that the oddest thing about the taste and smell? I hope it comes back quickly. On a positive note. my mom has no sense of smell, hasn't since she was little. It was always nice to hand off poopy diaper changes to here when she was around :D
Great news about the retinal scan! Gary is overdue for his (diabetic retinopathy) but decided to wait another month or so to get it done. Nice to have that crossed off of your to-do list

Hugs and and love!!

Morning ladies... A lovely sunny morning but the temps are very cool, only 13C. which is 55F. Is it really July?? Looking at the forecast for the weekend and into next week, doesn't look much different, still not summer temperatures, with highs of only 21C or 22C which is still only the low 70's F. At this rate I will never get to go for a swim in the Lake, it will not be warm enough for this old gal! Today I will pick my groceries up and perhaps go for a visit with my sister and have a cup of coffee with her. I haven't seen her since we took our other sister to the Gardens for her birthday. I started a page yesterday, but of course got distracted and did a few other things and never got back to finishing it. So I hope to do that first thing this morning. Hunter had a fun birthday, we watched him open our gifts, he sure can tear into the parcels LOL. We got him a little play BBQ with Hot Dogs and Hamburgers to cook on it. He loves to help his Dad BBQ so he was really having some fun with that! Mason was enjoying it too! They put up their bouncy castle and had a sign with balloons out the front of the house to honk, for Hunter's Birthday, too cute! He was a happy little boy! It was so hot though, that the boys could not stay in the bouncy castle for very long and they spent most of the afternoon inside where it was cooler. Wish they could send some of that heat out this way! How can the temps be so different from one side of the country to the other??

Chris - Glad to hear that you slept better last night! Hopefully the new sheets will feel so good and it will help you sleep even better tonight! Yup we see lots of huge slugs on our hikes and we have to be mindful not to step on them! If you do you could slip and fall in a heartbeat! It would be terrible for the slug too LOL. Sadly this is not the first pet that has died for Isaac and Sadie  They had a dog named Bailey who died from Cancer before they got Storm. I don't think that they will be getting any more animals for awhile now. We will see. Too funny that the skeleton has been making his rounds in your house this morning! It's either Caitlyn or that darn ghost is back playing tricks on you again LOL.

Felis - Yup we are all feeling the same and if I did not have my grands to keep me entertained almost everyday, I would not have anything too interesting to talk about either! I can totally relate to the COVID snail mail!! I have been waiting for a parcel for weeks now and its still not anywhere near getting to me!! Look how long it took for Isaac to get his card?? Yet a little parcel that I shipped to Sadie arrived in record time, :noidea: I hope that your work is going well and that your fur babies are keeping you good company!!

Cheryl - So happy to hear that everyone is doing better in your family! Sure hope that the sense of smell and taste returns to your oldest granddaughter!! Good news on the retinal scan too! Hope you are enjoying your days of scrapping!

Ok I need more coffee and then I should get back to scrapping my page! Have a great day everyone! I hope the weather is nice for all of you!

Love reading all of your posts (I'm taking the easy way out) LOL You all entertain me. I'm not awake yet to post the wonderful responses like you all do. Remember, I'm not a morning/day person. I should come back here at 1 AM when I'm chatty. LOL Chris, so funny about the poopy diapers and your mom couldn't smell them. Tell Gary not to put retinal scan off! I'm always so worried before I go and so relieved if it comes back good. I was overdue for mine because of Covid.

How funny about your dream and the skeleton! At least you got a good laugh.

good day! Well Tropical Storm Fay is on her way. We have been having light rain since about 10 am. Knowing this I went out on a nice walk early. Again was nice as I could distance quiet easily. Luther refused to go this morning. It was 87% humidity and he just did not want to go. Poor baby. My Devils announced they hired Lindy Ruff as their new head coach. He does not give me much confidence. He has the 6th most wins in NHL but I am not convinced he will be better than our interim coach Nasreddine. They said he has a lot experience. I will see! I think the NHL has a better chance to get going again as they are going to Canada, Toronto for the East and Edmonton for the West. I had a nice talk with my sister. She said that it will be near 112 for a high. She says the heat is not killing the virus. She is very social distanced. Still reading my book series.

Chris I know what you mean about the sauna out of doors. That is too funny about the skeleton! Your kids to do like to play jokes. I think all are tired of same old, same old.

Trudy happy birthday to Hunter! That is awesome but wow that was a fast 3 years. So sorry to read about Storm. I know how much you enjoyed her! It is hard on the kids. Glad you can talk to them. Sounds like you had such a nice hike. Wow that is cool weather. Enjoy!

Felis I think we are all tired. But I feel at least it is summer and while I may be getting 4 inches of rain it won't be cold.

Cheryl that is awesome news that all are doing so well. My DH had to wear a mask and temp check and had to get Covid tested to get his cataract surgery. He was glad they took such precautions.

Gratitudes
got my walk in before rain
rain as we have a deficient

OK, I guess there is something like a story that could be interesting for you to hear. It's freaks me out so much!
Now imagine me, at too hot morning, wearing t-shirt, ponytail and dirty jeans, totally unattractive view, no makeup or so. In addition I'm bring bucket, shovel, household gloves and circle around the fence cleaning dog poops. I know too much details, but this is important for the total impression. So me totally messy and doing s**tty job. LOL. I'm inside, but my fence is nets (I hate that). Two men walks on the sidewalk and one waves me, you know that I don't see well, so I think it's must be my neighbor and wave back. He comes and say 'Oh, hello!', I said 'Hi!' and try to remember who the hell is this. He ask: 'Can we introduce one each other?' Whattt?! I'm shaking my head negative and asking back: 'Do you want something concrete?', till wondering is it Jehovah's Witnesses again, or another one that think he can adopt cat directly from me to not pay vet tax. But he ask me: 'Would you like to go on date with me sometimes, soon?!' W H A T the hell!!! !!!!!!
So girls tell me are you hear something more creepy? Who goes around in an attempt to speak to a strangers and asking them for date? And if I, I never will!!!, but if I agree and then this date turns bad then what?! He already knows where I'm living, I'll not have safe place to go! I was dating with man 3 years, and he never saw my house, neither once. Again what the hell! What is wrong with the world! Why not meet people online when you can peek in their life and decide do you have interest or no? Or the dog park. Meet someone 'accidentally' few months, say hi, talk something for pets and go, until you become more familiar.

I get so scared, really freaking out, this guy knows where I'm living and circle around to spy me. I just told him: 'No way', wave goodbye and escaped to lock inside the house. I hope, hope, hope, that he is not some psychopathic who will keep coming to bother me! I feels a little bit bad if he is nice boy I don't want to be rude and hurting someone's feelings. But If #MeTo learned us something it was: better to be rude or men can mistake every kindness for signal. Like it wasn't enough that there was a few robbery in the neighborhood and now every nights dog's bark scares me!
What is wrong with the fate?! Is she deaf or my karma is bad?! Why joking with me like that?
I know I'm constantly complains how wants to find true love, the one! But I think I was saying my wishes completely clear: 'smart irish gentleman' (OK, I can get english rascals ) , not psycho countryboy to comes straight to my front door! Fortuna, why you joke with me like that?! :frusty: At least this time this man was around my age, last two that sent me inappropriate message on Instagram was on my mom's age and I was so upset how old do I look! OMG Instagram is not Tinder, get this right!
Edit: Did I'm mentioned before that my dream was to become writer? This story was too descriptive so let's shorten it a bit. Yes it was longer .

Chris, first to make throwback to your note about worries that kids can't start work as they was planned: I know few my friends that took the year after their college to travel the world and clear their mind, before to step in adult life. I guess this is similar situation free year to find who you are but at home?! Don't overthinking it, everything gonna be alright!
Hahaha, I also bought new sheets and washed them today, was on deal LOL! We live so interesting life! Why not try to color your hair at home? My mom's hobby is hair styling and she still colored herself alone. I'm sure Cait can do it for you, Youtube is full with instructions. Hmm looks like Mr.Skeleton no have plans to go back at attic?! LOL

Trudy, Happy belated birthday to your little Hunter! It's nice to hear that they have lovely time and nice celebration. Only three years wow, my cat Hunter is on eight LOL!
How old Isaac is now? I'm so worry about this little hero, how small boy will deal with grief?! I hope they soon to get him new puppy! I know, I know, you aren't much opened to the idea for fast replacement, BUT such a lovely family can give so much love to someone lonely pup! Your message to me is so sweet thank you, darling! Yes I was afraid my happiness to not sounds disrespectful to your grief now, so I'll wait a little bit, before to scrap a cat page that I was plan. Again my deep condolences! I know you're so gentle soul and difficult deal with the loss of pet.

Cheryl, LOL, I'm often comes and post in 3AM. Right now here is 12:30AM!

Nancy, I'm jealous about the rain! Yes, unfortunately the heat is not killing the virus, as we all expected. Our temperatures are high, but we still have increased in number of cases. Hope the hockey season to be good! Sad that you'll not be able to go in personal, but better to keep it safe. Oh, and happy belated birthday to Luther!
