yay for the start of summer vacation!
Yup, I know that it has been "officially" summer for a couple of weeks *and* I know that I technically do not have one single change in my daily life but my attitude is saying it is summer vacation. Yeah, yeah-- TBH, this is me prodding my attitude in this direction but if I prod myself hard enough, my attitude will follow. (at least that's the plan haha!)
I feel like I missed out on a lot of June with everything being turned upside down for a lot of things. I don't want to miss out on a single day of sunshine or warm weather or being outdoors.
I had a very nice time with my parents yesterday. They were obviously on their best behavior We went to a nice little Italian BYOB restaurant, quiet and yummy. My dad is getting around great just using his cane and my mom is pleased that she can walk a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. She has seen all of her major Drs recently and feels that she will be well enough to go down the shore this September for a couple of nights. If the room that she needs is available, we'll head down right after Labor Day.
Because I want to start the month off right, I have a *huge* to-do list started for today. A lot of the things on it are silly ( e.g. replace the lightbulb in the DR) but I have been ignoring *waves arms around* everything. The more I ignore, the more I *need* to ignore. Vicious cycle.
On that note, let me post this, do some personals, and get on with that list.
Big hugs!
