We all made it to Friday! Again, I don't know what it matters, it isn't like I have a Monday-Friday, 9-5 type job. We all made it to Friday! Again, I don't know what it matters, it isn't like I have a Monday-Friday, 9-5 type job. :biggrin1:
It was nice to be out with my mom yesterday. I was exhausted by the time I got home but I liked spending some time with her. We went to Target and she brought me some new underwear. Moms- gotta love 'em. Then we went to BJs and I grabbed the wrong water filters so now I have to go and return them. Ugh.
No one was in the mood to eat dinner so they all grabbed something on their own when they were hungry. It was great not having to cook. Today Cait's friend will be here for dinner and she is vegan so it will be interesting. Leah is also going to be here so we have three semi-omnivores (no beef/pork), 2 vegetarians, and one vegan. But it will be nice to all sit down and have a nice time.
When my mom and I were at lunch, she warned me that my brother is already asking about what I want to do for my birthday (5 months away) and what we should do for my dad's 80th b-day (In November!!!). For me, he wanted to have a party at his house or go out to a restaurant, both choices would mean that Gary wouldn't know if he would join us until that very last minute. I am not doing that. Nope. I told her that all I wanted was to have one of those blow-up, waving arm tube guys, and we all have to dance to a particular song, waving our arms along with it.
ARGH!!
I just lost the second part of this post! Thankfully I had copied some of it but not all.
So the birthday party that I want is to be with my close family dancing around like loons based on an episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Then I was going on about my day today but the main thing I need to do is call the hospital billing dept about my MRI I had done last year. My insurance company denied my appeal of medical necessity. They part for part of the MRI but not all of it. How the heck can they do that? It isn't like I have a choice it the matter not do I, as a patient, know what they are doing once they put you in the machine. I had gotten prior authorization, which you would think would be enough. It looks like I am going to be responsible for another $600. :mad2:
I also am going to call my breast surgeon's office since I am having just a regular mammo next week and then I am supposed to have the second MRI in April to see if the spots that were picked up last time have changed. I don't want to get stuck paying another $600. Maybe they should have me go for a Diagnostic mammo with an ultrasound instead of the MRI.
I also don't want to not have an MRI done if there is another cancer episode starting. I would much rather find out about it now than wait until it is much farther along.
The US has the worst health insurance racket.
Anyway... I better get off the computer soon or my whole day is going to be wasted online.
Hugs!!!
