Gah!!! I am *wrecked!!*
I have been cooped up way too long, my dogs- the same thing. They are barking all day at nothing. Everyone is on edge and jumpy. last night I had the strangest dreams, kept waking up with my heart pounding, and have been fully awake since 4 am. Get me through this day in one piece, please!
Annnnd- how is your day going?
I need to bundle up and go for a walk or something soon. I left my house -- to the driveway-- three times yesterday, once for the mail and twice to unwrap Whiskly from the tree. The snow knocked over the 12" plastic "fence" that is supposed to keep her from going between the tree and the well pump because when she does, she gets her lead tangled up. In the summer, I don't mind going out to unwrap her. When the lawn is a mixture of snow and frozen dog-poop and the temps are single digits, --- not so happy to do that. The silliest part of it is when I get her untangled, she gets super hyper and gets the zoomies around the yard. I have to be super careful to stay out of her way or *I* get tangled in the lead. The last place I want to be is face-first in frozen-poop snow.
I got a few more steps of the faery house built. One wall is connected to one of the floors and a tree is almost ready to be glued in. My love-hate relationship with Amazon continues. I am pretty sure that the Dollar General in town carries Tacky Glue. But when I looked at Amazon and was able to get it shipped for <$3, I caved-- *click* and I'll have it today.
Gary and I are going to my parents today. Gary is going to replace the broken keypad for their alarm system and set up their new printer. My mom and I can drink coffee and catch up.
If I have some time when we get home, I will be working on the next two HS Pod Field Trips for Feb. If *fingers crossed* there is still snow on the ground for the first one (Feb 7), we can do some of the activities that we couldn't do last time. We will look for animal tracks and have some STEM snowmen-making challenges. The second trip will be Maple Sugaring/Winter Tree ID.
All of this will be possible due to the generosity of the wonderful coffee bean.
Sending everyone a hot mug of coffee (or tea, although why would you drink tea in the morning? LOL)
HAGD!
