Yo yo yo!! Hey my O-Fam and how are ya doing??

:clap2:

I am in Fake it til Ya Make It Mode until 12.45pm, then I will be in full-out Celebratory Mode when I get my good test results. I refuse to believe that they will be anything other than good. Now-- read that carefully. Nowhere do I say that I am refusing to think or worry that they are bad. Those moments hit me here and there, so I have to be honest. Bwuahahah!!!!

I am working this morning, which will be a good thing, keep me busy. Coffee date with my friend across the street. Many Teenagers descending upon my humble abode tonight.

Other than that, not much else going on. Gary and I survived our shopping trip. When the kids asked how it went, he said that I didn't yell at him once about anything he put in the cart. Since he is trying to cut out bad snacks I didn't have to argue with him over chocolate donuts or 5 bags of potato chips.

Finish It Friday:
I need to pin down Scott to review his Financial Aid Application and submit that. Yesterday we did a "test drive" down to the college so he will know where he is going when he has to take his placement tests in the next few weeks. Its all going too fast!

Hugs love and happy thoughts!!!!!!

From Thursday:

Oh Laurie!!! The flu??? Hoping you feel better and sending you my chicken soup!

Phyllis- if you knew Gary, you would understand why I like to/need to take more control over cooking. hahah!! We saw some cajun catfish in the store so he picked some of that up. When he got home he started looking online for recipes or how to cook it. He was in a tizz because he read that you have to cook it in a cast iron pan, outdoors. He was thisclose to throwing the fish out, I think! If the recipe calls for 1% milk, he will not substitute 2%. If it needs unsalted butter, he won't use salted and reduce the salt amount in the recipe. It can make me a bit crazy.;)
So i try to keep a balance....
He used to be on Lipitor, and that helped.Numbers came way dawn so he stopped. With all of the meds his on, he wants to take as few less-necessary as possible. The worst time to get the test too- right after the holidays when we ate yummy but un-healthy food for a month LOL

And sun!!! Yes!! Where the heck is the sun? I walked out my door yesterday and it was snowing!!!! I let lose a WTF!?!?

Good luck with your windows! Nothing to make you feel even worse about the weather than having to look through frost, on the inside.

Hi Trudy! Did you get through your day ok and sleep better last night? Sending hugs and coffee to you in case you didn't.
My family doesn't get the flu shot (immune compromised, lyme dr rec's against it for us) but we think that what Scott had last week was the strain of flu that has been going around here. It seems to have the same symptoms for everyone but each person gets hit a bit differently. My FIL has been sick since right after Christmas and abx don't seem to help so I think that is what he has.

Sandra, I am a big believer in anti-depressants, if they are needed. I have been on Zoloft for years and years. When I tried to cut my dose in half to save some money, the anxiety came back something fierce. I had hesitated and dragged my feet for Caitlyn when her lyme dr rec'd them for her, but she is on zoloft too (very very low dose) but I can see a huge difference in her anxiety levels. Good luck and lots of hugs to you!
Happy birthday to Piper!!!

Good morning O fam. Amazing what meds will do. I am upright. I can keep my glasses on. I think I will head to the shower and then try the meds. I got a bit of an upset tummy last night. I need to let them know if I need different ABX before noon today. Chris, praying for amazing news.

Chris, fingers crossed for a VERY good 1 p.m. for you today. is Gary going with you? i hear you about men and a job. actually kids, too. so often in my life i just thrrew up my hands and shouted "NEVER MIND!!!!!" and did the thing myself. i think it's a ploy men and kids use to get out of doing something. sometimes they do it subconsciously, not on purpose. but the result is always the same.

Laurie, what are you on ABX for? not the flu right? well, remember to eat your yogurt. hope you continue to feel not-too-awful. get well soon!

Sandra, maybe you could just do some temporary prescription for anxiety, just to get you through all this. SSRIs take some time to kick in, i think. is that right, Chris? good luck and hope your sweet girl had a happy birthday.

Trudy, how'd you sleep? doesn't that just set you off for a not-so-fab day? it's hard to function on spotty sleep. i was telling my husband the other day that i appear to be really GOOD at sleeping lately. it's the DAYtime that i'm having no fun with!! hope you're not awake yet and snoring loudly as i write this!

well, it snowed last night. not a lot, but it was still a shovel-the-driveway morning for poor Hubby. looks like a pretty freezy week ahead, with dribs and drabs of snow nearly every day.

sigh.:pout:

i did get the family room cleaned yesterday. it took forever. no idea what i'm doing today. feeling a bit queeeeeeeezy for the last few days, so i may just sit around at home. have i mentioned that i am SOOOO done with winter??

Happy Friday. let's hope that it ALL works out. all of it. :becky:

Chris - Glad that you are keeping a positive outlook for your test results!!! They will come back with good news I just know it!! Glad that you are keeping busy with work this morning and keeping your mind off of the results!! You got more snow?? WTH? Haven't you had enough of that already? Sending you some West Coast Sunshine today!!

Laurie - Hope that you are feeling better!! Are you dealing with dizzy spells again? You are not taking meds for the flu are you? You know what they say... Not all bugs need drugs! and seeing as the flu is a virus abx won't help you out at all. So it must be for something else?? Whatever it is I hope it is gone very soon for you!!

Phylis - You got your cleaning done, so now you can try out the scrapping again?? I miss seeing your pages! Are you still dealing with the squiggly lines in front of your eyes?? Sorry you are feeling queazy, hope you are not getting that darn old flu bug!! Has the flu bug around your area been diagnosed as H1N1 yet? That's what we have out this way, its a real bad one too!! Hopefully no more snow for you guys today, I don't blame you for being done with winter!!! Try to have a good day and yay for sleeping better at night lately!! :thumb:

Sandra - Hope your meeting with the lawyer that you don't like ended up being ok! Happy birthday to Piper yesterday!!!

Ok I am heading back to bed for a bit and see if I can squeeze one more hour of sleep in this morning. Getting up at 5am is just a bit too early for me! Especially when I wake up 4 to 5 times at night  I just want one really good nights sleep!! Enjoy friday everyone!

Good Morning All!
Chris - Hoping you get good results back today! Its great that you're staying positive!
Glad to hear you survived your shopping trip without too much trauma! I shudder whenever Les offers to go grocery shopping with me! He is always in shock at the price of groceries and starts taking things out of the cart!

Sounds like a few people are sick right now - Laurie and Phyllis hope you both feel better soon and that its not the flu!

Trudy - Sorry you had another rotten night. I know I never sleep well if I'm stressed. I wake up at 4 and my brain just starts churning! Have you tried herbal sleeping pills or melatonin? Any word on the trip or tv?

We've had some very foggy weather here the past couple of days but Les just checked online to see how the weather is at the local X Country ski trails and its above the fog so we're going to try snow shoeing for the first time today! Wish me luck - not sure how the knees will hold up but I don't want to be sitting around forever more!

Have a great weekend everyone!
