Do any of you think I am ever going to feel rested again? I am feeling like welp- maybe not for a looooong time. I am so sorry (still, again, and probably for a long time ahead) for always being such a bummer! Believe me, I know I am sick of it/myself.

I paid some bills yesterday, take to my mom a bit. My dad has his appt for the vax on Saturday which he was able to get through his fire dept. Arlene, as a pharmacist, has one scheduled for next week. Little glimmers of good news to focus on. Scott had me LMBO at dinner, I don't even remember what he was saying but he is so funny. Caitlyn has been very busy making stuff for the shop and I have to admit I hope that she has enough time to recharge herself before classes start again.
My parents are coming up after lunch today and I am looking forward to seeing them *please let them not bicker*
Tomorrow the O will be offline for its upgrade. It will be exciting, but I know that I am going to miss you all!

Have a wonderful day!

Trudy- good luck with your grocery order today! How far does your Gary live from work? Nice(ish) that he gets to come home- as long as he doesn't in your way *wink*
How is the oven repair BS going?

Jean- oooh, your LO is wonderful- the kit/colors are *perfect*
Heh- Arlene sent me a link to a video update from her town's mayor re: vaccine info. I emailed her back "I would love to say this was helpful, but now I have even more questions!" LOL It is truly such a mess. Her mayor said that there is a website to register for an appt. They release the appt slots based on how many vaccines get sent by the state on Fridays. He compared it to waiting online to buy concert tickets. Seriously. :frusty: I hope you and DH are able to get appts soon.

Cheryl- That sounds like a PITB to get wifi. Hope it gets easier soon, the weather by you sounds nice, It was supposed to be warmer today but it is freezing right now. Boo.
Cait has been making rat hammocks and houses for her girls for a long time and started selling them over the summer. She has really cute patterned fleece and makes them into different styles. She has also made them on special order for rabbits and bearded dragons and geckos.
We do love our fur/scale babies here. Although I doubt that Rita the Tarantula or Patches the One-Eyed Snake would appreciate a hammock if Cait ever made one for them.
That is a great idea for Daisy so she can smell and explore but not wander.

Nancy- I am so happy for you- yay for Hockey!!! The birding outing sounds exciting, did your DH share any pics with you so we can see too?
Would you rec The Widow for me? I saw commercials of it when we were watching Hanna and it looked intriguing.

Felis- I read an article this morning on how the pandemic is affecting everyone mentally and physically and how we need to cut ourselves some slack. I hope that you're able to do that and not let your self-esteem take a hit.
I am looking forward to seeing your page when you post!
That is so funny that you remembered me planting the big plants by the edge of the road! they should be a decent size this summer and each year they will get a bit bigger.

Linda- it makes me so happy that you are here every day! It has to be so difficult working from home. My SIL works in HR at Bayer and she is working from home. She says that she is putting in much longer days now than she was before and even counting her travel times. She would have to fly out to Germany and CA every couple of months.
You will be even more impressed when you know that Felis language is Cyrillic based!

Popping early to say "Hi". Yes, Chris... I am excited about the new look we will have here by next week. It will be strange to not pop in tomorrow due to the change-over in forum and gallery. But it will be worth the time once it is done.

Yesterday was a busy day on the computer. Trying to get caught up on some CT work. Spent the morning doing that. Then DD#1 called and we talked for about an hour. Have missed our almost daily phone calls while she was in AZ. Good news is the keypad for the garage door opener arrived. The one that came with the door opener never worked so they sent me a new one. Will see if I can take the one off and put the new one in its place and program it. Need to get it done before next week as they are predicting a 2-3 day snow storm here.

I finally got the zucchini-eggplant casserole made yesterday. It takes about 30 minutes to brown everything just right - then another 30 minutes for it to simmer. But it was worth it as it tastes so good. Have enough for 2 more meals... one tonight and freezing one for later. The original recipe called for it to be baked but I changed it to simmer on the stove so I could fix it in the summer when it was too hot to use the oven. I took photos of the process so may make a LO about it one day.

I am not pleased with the fingertip bandaids I bought - they are fabric ones and don't stick well. Have already had to replace it three times yesterday. When the hand gets sweaty in the rubber glove, they pop loose and one came loose overnight. Will pickup some plastic ones as they seem to stick better. In the meantime, I will use a piece of tape around it to keep it in place.

Trudy, glad the customer is happy with the art piece... even though it isn't your colors. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... Have you heard from the manufacture about $$ for the parts? Beginning to sound like it may be cheaper to pull it out and get a new wall over from a different manufacture.

Nancy, know you are happy to have hockey back on. How neat that you got to see a lot of birds on your walk. Was LOL yesterday... looked out and saw a couple of black birds in my front yard - then looked across the street at my neighbor's yard and it was filled with them (about 40) pecking at the ground. Shades of "The Birds"!!! Not sure if they were ravens or crows.

Linda, working from home seems to be what a lot of people are doing. 2 daughters and both sons are working from home. They mentioned that they put in more hours now than they did when they went into work. Glad you are finding time to pop in here.

See you all next week.

Happy Friday O-zies!! It is Friday right?? Well yesterday certainly did not go as planned! DH came home for lunch then got on the phone with Maytag, he finally got through and they immediately hung up on him before he could talk to anyone :mmph: So I went online and did a chat with rep there. Well after waiting in the queue for 20 mins I chatted it up a bit and then they suggested that I call someone at the the same # we had already tried. Of course DH had gone back to work long before this. So on the phone I got and oh my Gosh they certainly don't make it easy to talk to a human being!! After several attempts, finally I got through. I chatted with a very nice man from the States and asked him how come he was taking calls from Canada? He said he prefers to talk to Canadians because we are nicer LOL!! I am sure he was just sweet talking me LOL anyway they are happy to cover all parts that we need, but will not cover the cost of the labour. Well considering the parts are going to be almost $900 I was pretty happy with that! Hooray!!! So the service guy was supposed to come on Monday, but now has to order all these parts and will reschedule when the parts arrive. So I guess I will be using my toaster oven and my instapot a lot more! My whole afternoon was pretty much spent with Maytag and I got zilch done, nadda, nothing!! Today I need to upload a page I did the other day and then find a delivery service for this painting, it will have to be someone other than Canada Post as they do not do parcels as big as this painting. Grrrr!!! Off to the pool in the afternoon and that should pretty much eat up my day! Oh and I need to go soon to pick up my grocery order this morning.

Chris - I sure hope that you will feel more rested soon! You need to get out in the fresh air and clear the cobwebs from your head! Go for a brisk walk, even if it is cold out there bundle up warm and wear your gloves! What a bossy friend I am hey? My Gary is only about 10 minutes from his work place, but there is usually quite a bit of traffic at lunch time so it takes him a bit longer to get home for lunch!

Kay - Yes you are right that beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I am happy that she is happy with the painting, but oh my goodness the cost to ship it to her is just crazy! We are trying to figure out a less expensive way to get it to her. Yes this oven has sure given me a lot of grief!! I am glad that the parts are covered and hopefully it will be the end of our troubles with it! You have been busy with your CT work! Nice that you had such a long talk with your DD! I can relate as sometimes it is over an hour with the kids and Heather on some days! LOL

Ok well speaking of the devil looks like Heather is face timing with me so I gotta go and will catch up with everyone later!

Well darn that the O will be closed tomorrow and until the upgrade is done. I will be doing my computer genealogy group tomorrow anyway, so during that time I won't miss it, but still. Amazingly my DH has an appt for the vax on Monday (after H&S). It wasn't easy or quick, but he did it. I'm not eligible yet, so couldn't schedule mine. Today's weather is dreary with some slightly solid rain so glad to be home.

Chris can you take the advice to bundle up and walk even though cold? Do you have heated gloves? It could help to walk. Hope the P's didn't bicker, but that is really their thing and not yours. Need to :lalala:

Kay, that casserole must be delish! Too bad about those bandaids, you just have had so much trouble from that one "little" injury. Hope you have everything done before the snow.

Trudy, shipping is really a bummer on cost. Good luck with that as well as the oven. You were a champ dealing with them yesterday.

Had phone call from my friend who talks loooong, but need to get going. Hi! to all.

Hi girls, I have awful migraine whole day. Yesterday's forbidden hat revenge me for that walk at the cold. And because I'm not sure when the forum upgrade will start will keep this post short. I was able to cross off all of the things that was plan for today, so don't want to miss this.

Chris, hope the visit with your parents to be nice one! So you're worried that Cait overstrain herself and she's not able to slow down and chill, heh, I'm wondering for who this reminds me  .
Also Isn't the memory strange territory, I often forget big things, but some small details (as your plants) pop in from nowhere when something trigger this association?!

Kay, this dish sounds so tasty! I love both eggplant and zucchini. Hope that you'll find better bandaids!

Trudy, you are real hero! I hate so much phone calls, makes me so nervous, it must be nightmare to have to call on multiple rep! Nice that they will cover at least the parts, but then do they gives you also some warranty?

Jean, do I mistaken or now the computer genealogy meetings are more often?

Linda, my native language is bulgarian, and I often make the girls to struggle trying to guess some of mine narratives. I'm trying to improve myself, but languages don't come easy to me. And english is very confusing for me as words don't have gender, the same word can be verb or noun, lots of words sounds similar, and I'm absolutely and completely lost about the tenses and how the other words change depends on it. I'm so grateful to the girls here that gives me chance to practice! And also if something sounds you too messed or nonsense, you should feels free to skip it!! I don't take it personal when someone don't find what to answer me! Thank you for your compliment!
When the forum is back I'll remind you to tell me more about your dog and how you learn her to love to swim, that's so cool!

 and  to all until the next week! :choclove

Good evening ladies! So big server upgrade this weekend huh?

Back home in Iowa, they are having a blizzard. But back home in Iowa is no longer home. We moved to Florida in June of 2019. That means that 2020 was our year to really learn about Florida.but then COVID hit!

Chris, I am so glad to be back in here. You and Kay are right, working from home makes it more difficult to stay away from work. The office is always so close!

Trudy, Maytag used to be known for their quality and service! They were in Iowa. My father-in-law worked there for years and was so proud of what they did. But like with so many businesses these day, there is no pride in workmanship!

Jean, great news that your husband has an appointment for the vaccine.

Felis, is that your name or just a nickname for Oscraps? Wow...Bulgarian. That’s amazing! And I will love telling you stories about my dog. And why she swims!

Everyone have a great weekend! I’ll be practicing my digital scrapbooking.

Felis, is that your name or just a nickname for Oscraps?

Well Felis is nickname, which I'm using mostly when expressing my creative side. It's came from the time when I was taken latin language classes. If you ask me did I use it at my daylife, yes totally, but my bird name is Aleksandra (with k and s , please). It's came from our king, but also means defender, so yes I'm guess it presents me very well too. It's just more often for business situation, my family never use my full name, and my friends mostly calls me on some of the short forms. But again it depends on from where you knows me and how I'm presented at that situation. LOL. I'm not a flat person . It have lots of additional stories why is Felis (forums), why is Alek Felis (Instagram, shopping) instead AlexFelis which just freaks me out as obviously the correct form for me is Aleks.
But in shorten, yes Felis is personal nickname, not username.

Hmm, look on that as that story for Rumpelstiltskin, if you don't guess the right name, you'll receive a cat! LOL! I'm cats fostering mom so instead of taking your child I'll will give you one more :eyebrows: .
