OMG, TGIF!!!!!! Happy Friday 13th after a Full Moon, my friends!
That has to be a huge part of the reason why I had been so blergy, flerpy, floopee, and derpy the last few days.Today will be a better day. I have nothing planned, nowhere to go.

After a stressful morning with Cait, on top of me not feeling so hot, we made it to DMV. On the way, her car was a real mess. Kept hesitating and skipping, almost how my heart palpitations feel. It drove fine on the way home, so I am hoping that it was only that she was on fumes and maybe moisture was in the gas line?? *hopeful* But she was not happy with the way her hair or makeup looked, and that was before she got her picture taken. Do any other states/countries have this? No smiling allowed. Not hair/bangs covering your face. It messes up facial recognition, isn't that nice. /s
Her photo looks like a mugshot. For real. So on top of her not taking her Zoloft for 5 days (she forgot to refill! Gah!!!), her BFF canceling plans and Brendan working 3 jobs now and never has time to see her, she was pretty down. I dragged her upstairs and scooped her rats up and put them on her. We spent and hour laughing at their antics. Clover is so crazy and is teaching Muffin all of her tricks.

Scott went to the college to re-switch his major to Humanities (I think, who the heck can keep track! ) and should be able to get his Associates Degree in May. Then he can start taking the classes he needs for Landscape. I think that will take a huge load off of his shoulders.

I am going to post this and then wake Cait up. She gets frustrated when she sleeps so late that the day is almost over.

Be back for personals in a bit!

Angi- so sorry that you have been hit with those infections. The one and only good thing about that is that with a couple od days of abx, you will start to feel slightly more human. Hugs!

Trudy- is there any way I can bribe you to add that smilie here? It is perfect for me.
So Scott's good news- 1. He brought home 7 slices of pizza which become our dinner. 2. He started training as server and came home with decent tips. 3.They wanted him back in last night for more training 4. One of the regular customers has a lot of contacts with landscapers and would love to help him connect once he has his certificate. 5. Did I mention pizza? LOL

Hope that you get good news and quickly on your blood work and do what you have to do to get yout thyroid working properly again.

Rae- I hope that the sun helps to evaporate any snow that is left. OMG- I would have been on the ground laughing at the dogs at the park!
Thanks you for the non-recipe for the chick peas.I know that I have cans of them and would love to give her a high in protein snack.
I def. need to start with yoga again.

Danesa- good for you for doing jury duty. I am lucky to be able to get out of it for medical reasons. Not that anyone would want me in a jury since I can't remember anything, nor fully concentrate for more than short bits of time. LOL
The soup was really good. First I carmelized the onions for a long time. 2 onions, sliced really thin, 2 Tbsp butter and a cast iron skillet. Addem them to 2 cans of College Inn Garden Vegetable Broth. 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce and 1-2 tbsp cooking sherry. Bring to boil, cover and simmer for 15 min. We like provolone as the cheese, has a bitmore flavor than swiss with the veg broth. Veggie stock is too bland, the Garden Veg Broth must have a decent amount of tomato because it is a golden orange color.
Such a great comfort food!

Morning ladies... T.G.I.F.!! I had a horrible sleep last night, up at 2:30am until around 4 and then my feet were cold so I had a hard time getting back to sleep, slept until 7:15 and here I am dragging my butt around. I need to wake up and get things done, the kids and grands are coming to stay for the weekend and will be here for supper tonight. I have to get a beef stew cooking and think about what the heck I am going to feed everyone while they are here. Still have two beds to make and get some :washing: done too. Off to the grocery store and get the bathrooms cleaned. Why do I always leave everything until the last minute :gaah: Oh well the day will fly by for sure! So much for going in to get my blood work done today, it will have to wait until next week. The other day the Dr. suggested that I keep some kind of background noise on for the ringing in my ears, she says sometimes that helps, so I have the local radio station playing on the computer right now and they are playing some pretty good music for early in the morning!

Chris - I didn't realize that there was a full moon!! No wonder you are feeling so floupee!! I hope that Cait feels better after her sleep and that her car was like you said just running on fumes and got some moisture in it. Sometimes it can run like that just from bad gas, but it was empty so guess that's not the reason. LOL. Yes they are same here and won't let you smile when you get your drivers picture taken, just like passports now, they all look like mugshots sheesh!!

I have got to get going and get some things done around here, hopefully I will have some time to catch up with the rest of you later on! I hope you all have a great Friday and even better weekend!! I will most likely be MIA for most of the weekend and at the pool with the kids.

See you later!!

Good morning, ladies. I spent yesterday afternoon googling and reading about my monitor and the different ways of hooking it up to the computer. When Darrell came home he read what I read and then we figured it out. Yay. So my computer is running now. I am going to take my time setting things up as I have a fresh start and want to be more organized. I have a 1 T folder now to load photos and will move them off there as I edit them and get into online storage. Then I will never have to worry about losing photos again. I also am going to try to read more about acdsee and how it works. So far I am happy with it, just not very knowledgeable about it yet.

Last night we ordered pizza for dinner so I didn't have to cook and could focus on setting up the computer. I like GF pizza from dominos but may look into buying GF shells, making my own and then freezing them. I hope to find some good pizza mix or shells at the Gluten Free Expo tomorrow. I'll be missing from the forum tomorrow until later in the evening b/c I'll be heading out around 8 am to meet my daughter and then we'll head into town. I can't wait. There will be lots of vendors, classes, free samples, discounted product and literature. Last time I went I came home with 2 huge bags of product, all bought at a good discount. Hope this time is just as good.

Today is Friday the 13th and I consider that a lucky day for us. It was when Darrell and I went on our first date and we got married on the 13th. I remember people saying we were jinxed by having our first date on Fri the 13th but look at us now, it's been 22 years, so it was lucky for us.
Chris - Poor Cait, feeling down about things. Hope she perks up. Glad you were able to lift her mood last night. You're such a great mom. Sounds like Scott knows what direction he wants to go in and is pursuing it. Good for him.

Trudy - enjoy the wkend with family. I laughed about you procrastinating and leaving chores til the last minute. That is me too! I try so hard to stay on top of things and get things done in a timely fashion and it never seems to happen LOL. The only good thing is that when push comes to shove, I can buckle down and get things done, I work well under pressure LOL.

Angi, Danesa, Nancy, NancyP....and everyone else...have a great day.

Good evening! Just have to chime in about the 13th. I was born on a 13th and as a result got married on the 13th of a different month. The friend who stood up for me was born on yet another month's 13th. And we're almost to 49 years.

Hope everyone had a happy 13th!
