Good and happy Friday!!! How's my bestest O-Fam today?

It was a decently quiet day here yesterday. I was able to get most of my mom's photo slideshow done. Lastfm.com had a bunch of free Opera/classical downloads so I used them for background music. And I used Windows Live Movie Maker-- very easy. Whew! I sitll have to make her a card, and a cake but those should also be easy to do.

I also made that tofu recipe for dinner. It was ok. I have a weird "texture thing" with foods so tofu is not a good one for me. It tasted ok- needed salt- and the spinach with soba noodles was good..... but not anything I'd make again. Do any of you eat tofu? Got any good recipes to share? If it is an acquired taste type food maybe I'll try again.... then again, maybe not. LOL

working today and then having a bunch of kids here to work on some school project with scott. Dinner for a bunch of 16-17 yo boys. Spaghetti and meat balls (turkey) and sausage (pork) should go over well. I hope. Or they will have to starve.

hey laurie! Sometimes, its great when plans fall through! Glad you were able to stay home. Hope your hairdresser is doing better today.
Wish there was something to make the job better for you, sounds like you had a brutal day on Wed.

Phyllis- ugh about the window. Its annoying enough when small stuff breaks but to spend that much on a window and to have it leak? Crazyness.
I have to call two places today- one question on a medical bill, and one odd charge on my mortgage statement. i dread doing them cuz you know it is going to suck hours out of my day. Maybe I'll ask Gary to do it.

I really think that if women ruled the world, we would be in a much better place- get together with some coffee and tea and chocolate and we'd get some more more accomplished than testosterone blustering! LOL

Morning O fam! It is Friday and I am doing the HAPPY DANCE! I have all of yesterdays errands to run, but that is just fine with me. I have dinner planned, the house was put in half order yesterday which means it feels so much lighter and I know I will enjoy coming home to it! Yes, I just finished my workout and need to get ready for work.

good morning! I'm so thankful it is Friday!!

I got in late last night from work and did nothing but be a vegetable looking around the internet on my IPad.

Slept in this morning and got up at 7. Think I'm going to make it an easy day--a little bit of work and then finish up my layouts for the CT and get them uploaded. Late this afternoon I am going to go golfin with my husband.

Guess you could say I am starting the weekend a little early!

Chris, tofu is like Scotch. if it tastes so blasted AWFUL, why make the effort to eat it?? people always say "you'll get used to it." i say:why bother? the only tofu recipe i ever made that wasn't a total gag was one for creamsicles, about a thousand years ago. i don't have it anymore, but you might be able to find it on the internet. i had some really thinly fileted and marinated tofu in a stir fry a while ago, and that was edible. and if you use "silken" tofu, it's fine in hot and sour soup. other than that, i'd rather eat nothing than eat tofu!

Trudy, i wouldn't even KNOW what oversleeping is like anymore! but i remember that, if you have someplace you HAVE to be, it does start the day off badly. i love hearing that your goofy boss is getting shipped out. let's hope the new one isn't an even bigger jerk! you should have a meeting with the new one and restate the fact that you want to be a PART TIME employee.

Laurie, did you hear anything about how your hairdresser is after the seizures? whoa. scary!

the installation manager is due here in 5 minutes. i talked with the store manager yesterday, and they seem willing to look into the Dud Window. happily, i have photos of EVERY leak that happened. i'm starting to think that i just want the thing taken off my house and a regular window put on. we'll see how that goes....

Good morning - well all my 2011 photos are archived to flickr and to my external HD so I am happy and now can get back to my real love scrapping. My DH and I went on a birdwatching trip. The sun was out so that was good. We went north thinking there would be less damage from Sandy. There is this spit of land in the town Piedmont, NY that goes out into the Hudson that is a good spot for winter birds. It is just south of the Tappan zee bridge and even here you could see that there was a huge surge of water and even a sail boat was stuck on the rocks. But still saw good birds. Then we drove south to deKorte Park in Lyndhurst. Again we expected to see some damage but wow over half the park is close because trails were washed out. They dont expect to have it all back until June. I am just grateful they will have it back. We walked the open area and again we saw really cool birds. I know that people losing homes is devastating but parks are important too. I just hope all the aid money comes through so the all can get restored. But I did learn that the park had insurance to cover the damage. So that is cool. Anyway a fun day spent with my DH.

Chris I too hate the texture of tofu. I think your dinner for those boys will be fantastic!

Phylis good luck with that window. What a pain to have to keep calling!

If I have to "get used to it" then I won't eat it!! I need to have a precise agenda for food: 1. Pick up on utensil 2. Insert into mouth 3. LOVE IT
If number three doesn't happen....numbers 1 and 2 won't ever happen again!!! :hurt:


So I felt like crap again this morning....but I have felt a lot better as the day has gone on....I really don't know if any of it had anything to do with the bump or if it was just coincidence...but I have a nice sore knot on my head and I feel okay....if I suddenly disappear for a few days...send the posse to check....Mike may need some help with the rest of the family :becky: cuz if I croak...he is lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Kids were out today...already....again....teacher work day....so we have been busy running errands with them today....Cameran is playing indoor soccer and he needed some indoor soccer cleats.....Sharon had not gotten them yet...so we were "volunteered" to go get them :shock: IMAGINE THAT!! But Jesse needed some basketball socks and shoes....so we just did it all at once....WHAT A FIASCO though!! We got Jesse's shoes at Super Shoe, but went to Dicks for the other stuff....OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just say that ME and about 10 other customers had a few "choice" words for the manager.....NOT A PRETTY SCENE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I just got through bathing "bug"....she decided today was the day she would start wiping her own tush after she pooped in the toilet....................O......M......G!!!!!! Another scene...not too pretty!!!!


Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....who has the vodka bottle today?? :becky:


Can anyone volunteer to come fix dinner for me tonight?? I am too wiped out!!!


Oh...and my dear scrappy friends, if you are wondering (or thinking that I should have) about photos of the bathroom ordeal.................NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This may just be something I wish to NEVER scrap about!!


Well....I hope my "FUNFILLED" day has brought a chuckle to YOUR lives today....I will try to laugh about them tomorrow!!!
