Bwuahahahaah!!! "Historic Blizzard" and they named it Nemo. SMH!


Anyway, in case you haven't heard, the North East is gonna get SLAMMED! Last call forecasts puts min the 20+ inches area. Even worse in CT/MA. And poor Long Island..... they are still having so many post-Sandy issues, how much more can they take? And the beaches.... Who knows exactly what will happen, other then Mother Nature who doesn't give a fig about Weather Models and school closings. meh.

I was actually hoping to get into my job this morning with Caitlyn and get in and out as quickly as possible but we already have the snow starting. Her road is cut through part of the mountains and her driveway is a half mile dirt road.I think it is best if I stay home, fill water bottles, make some food and stuff like that.

The weather forecasters are predicting this storm to be like Blizzard of 78 (don't remember that - I was 10) and Blizzard of 96. That one I do remember-- I was 6 months pg with Scott and Gary was away on a business trip. We got 30+ inches of snow and my neighbors had to dig me out!

At least this time around I have two kids to help me shovel, right? Scott was supposed to go to his GF's this weekend but there is no way I can get him down today and prob not tomorrow either. He understands but she is missing him.

Laurie- how's it going? Hope you had a great workout and that your internet stops giving you trouble. Did you find your table top? Hope so! And photos of the ice-- bet they came out neat. I haven't taken any photos since Christmas.

Phyllis- we got the paint yesterday and are ready to roll (literally hahah). I actually can't complain, I have a very small driveway and front walk. And I need a "pee-spot" for the dog. The worst part of the driveway is that its at a steep incline and then the plows come I end up with a foot or more of packed snow at the top of the drive-- and there is no way over it.
Eeek -- a socially awkward dentist? Not good for the patients who get nervous. But at least he is not going to ask you a ton of questions whiel the sucky-thing is in your mouth and you cant answer heheh!!
How was TJ MAxx, anything fun?

Nana- how did Jesse's IEP mtg go? Hope you didn't have to fight them for services.
And no, not mean Nana. I have done that when my kids were little-- everything into a shopping bag. Wish I could do that now, but they would be quite content to just sit in their rooms with an ipod or cell phone or even just daydream. heh.

Trudy-- I heard some birds outside yesterday-- it must mean that spring is coming, right??
Bah humbug with Gary and the snow blower.... Although I guess if we get as much as as heavy as they are saying, the snow blower wouldn't make much difference anyway.

Room colors- its a teenager's dream and mother's nightmare !!!!! So far we have done bright pink and purple. Next up- a grass green and bright blue.
Very good idea to get the prongs fixed-- cuz it will be much more to replace the diamond. Glad you did it!

Oh Terry what and insurance nightmare. I hope you don't mind, but I shared your story with Scott to reinforce that he has to be so careful. And I don't blame you at all for making him walk. Beggars can't be choosers, right? Hopefully, that will make him appreciate what he can afford and get. I am sure Scott is not thrilled to be driving (eventually) his grandma's old Honda, but its paid for!

PS: Nana-- we have already gotten two people come to out door asking to buy it from us! You Honda Sales people should put a warning label on them: May cause unsolicited sales inquiries!!! :rofl:

Linda S---- I am sooooooooo happy for you!!!!! Have a drink for me down there, OK?? Hugs to you and Brian and the kids!! Truly wish I was there with ya!

Okay...for the 5th Friday in a row....I have a house full of kids.....I am just thinking...if the post office can stop delivering mail on Saturdays, then Kids don't have to go to school on Fridays.....sort of makes sense, huh?

I need artywine Yes at 8 am!!! I think this winter has been such a PIA this little storm that we weren't suppose to get just sent me over the edge


Well Jesse is doing so well they are exiting him out of the program...which I agree with...he is not in need of any services at school any more. He just needs counseling and they gave me some resources there to look into to.


My Mom's cataract surgery went well yesterday....so as long as it stays that way, she will have the other one done in two weeks. BUT you know her....she calls me last night and says "if they don't go to school tomorrow, you bring one over here to me so you won't have so much on you" ........... I ~heart~ that woman!!!


Okay...gotta go fix the little birdie mouths some breakfast (that's what they sound like..all yapping to eat..HEHE!!)

Good Friday Morning ladies!! Are you all ready for Snowmageddon ?? My DD says its supposed to hit them hard today, she is in Ontario, but she doesn't have to go anywhere so that's a good thing!! My DS is heading out to visit her but not until later tonight so hopefully all the worst of it will be over with. I think that all of our friends in the States are supposed to get hit the worst, so hunker down all of my USA buddies and stay put !!

Chris - Ha, Ha, love your Nemo pic!! Hope that you are going to be safe and warm and dry while riding out this Snowpocalypse !! Maybe it won't be as bad as they say?? Well we can hope right?? Please you must take a photo of your DD's room when you are all finished painting!! Glad that you are not going anywhere today! I am going to txt my son and advise him to stay off of the roads, but I know that he will go anyway! Such a worry for us!! Maybe I am over reacting?

Laurie - We have no snow either, nice sunny day forcast for here today, we are lucky!!

Nana Linda - So have they closed the schools again today? I really can't believe that they close as much as they do? Hope you have a nice Friday and don't look out the window at the snow, pretend that you are somewhere tropical or on the beach in Maui with LindaS!!

Well a short day for me today, hubby is mad that I am not working as much, but not me :becky: I love it!! He thinks I should be working full time like him :hand: :director: Hello!! I have worked long enough, since I was in High School and haven't stopped since then, I work everyday!! who the hell takes care of everything here at home!!!! Really?? Do not go there with me!! :rant: Ok... I feel better now! Off to the shower and out the door I go, have a good one all TGIF!! Good morning and the snow has been falling since before I woke up! Nemo is such a crazy name for this storm - Chris love your photo of Nemo! Like Chris we have supplies and Like Phylis my DH loves to shovel for exercise. Just going to watch the snow fall and scrap which I have not done in several days. I took my learn my camera class from Sony but irritating as the guy who taught the class forgot to get up so I waited an hour. But I did get to just meander the mall so not too bad I guess. I did learn several important things about the camera so that was good. And I do love this camera. My Devils are still winning and the game last night was fantastic. Got a walk in yesterday with my girlfriend before the weather becomes uncooperative.

Nana Linda I cant believe how many days your schools are closed. How do kids ever learn with no consistency? Glad

Terry what an insurance mess. Sounds like you are doing the correct thing not letting him drive your cars. At that age kids so think they know it all.

Chris, thanks for the LAUGH!! i forgot that that cute little FISH was named Nemo. i kept thinking about Jules Verne.... good luck with this storm. i'm feeling kind of left out, to tell the truth. this kind of stuff RARELY misses Pittsburgh. today we've got a rain/snow mix and the typical GRAY going on.

Terry, when i get tied up in knots about what's going on with our Andersen Window Fight, i try to think of you and the Insurance Mess. what a nightmare. i can't believe that you would be at ALL responsible for anything. how's THAT fair??

Jen, where in the world do you find those pictures? :rofl: I'm up and watching the clouds over the Maui mountains. Think I'm going to throw on some clothes and take another walk along the beach with the kids. Brian is getting ready to go out and run. Yesterday was fabulous...really laid back! On the docket today...walk along the beach, swim, family pictures at 5 and then go to Lahaina for their Friday night art in the park with supper at Bubba Gump or Fleetwood's. Yep...that Fleetwood.

Sorry that you are all dealing with the stupid weather. It is absolutely perfect here. Going to get the camera out of the bag this morning. Just used the phone yesterday! Be back to scrap later.
