My goodness, it feels amazing to start this thread again!!!! I wish we had all of our smilies back so I could do a little happy dance but all in due time. How have you all been? I hope that everyone has been well, staying safe and healthy while we have been offline.
The new forum is fantastic, isn't it? It is taking me a bit to get used to figuring out how to do things but if anyone needs help, just ask. Vicki Robinson and Ona have been working on tutorials.
*interrupts self to complain that it is snowing again* Ugh! It started snowing in New Jersey Sunday around dinner time and was still going Wednesday morning and now we have more? [insert fainting and yelling smilies] We ended up with somewhere in the 30+ range so this is simply adding insult to injury.

The snow added to the pain of having to put Ravyn down Wed morning too. I knew it was time last Thursday and Gary was finally ok on Saturday. That was after the vet office had closed for the weekend. Sunday she was so much worse and the forecast was getting worse so I made an appt request online for Mon as soon as they opened. The vet's wife emailed me overnight saying that they would squeeze me in at 9 am but when I called the office to let them know, they were swamped and asked to come at 10. The snow was so heavy that by 9.30 we couldn't;t get out of our driveway so I had to cancel. I crazily yet smartly requested appts for both Tuesday and Wednesday in case we couldn't get out on Tues and thank goodness I did that b/c they called to cancel Tuesday's appt Monday afternoon. My gallows humor kicked in when I said that only my family would need to make four appts to kill one dog.
Gallows humor part 2 was when all four of us went in the car Wed morning to the vet. Only Gary was able to go in with her but we waited in the car sharing goofy stories about her. It was a darn good thing that we didn't go inside together. The vet that did the euthanasia was the same one that took care of Floyd a year ago. Last year was the first and only time we had ever seen him and for several reasons, it has become Kooky Campbell Canon. Not only was he very short ( He was taller than Cait and I but shorter than Scott who is 5'5") which made it hysterical for some reason, because he and the tech didn't know us, they were very "by the script" with the process and condolences. We are awful people that we joke about it. Anyway- he was the vet that put Ray down which when Gary told us this, gave us more opportunity to create more Kooky Campbell Canon. Had we all been inside, we might have burst out laughing or acted otherwise inappropriately.
It was a long and brutal week but we know she isn't in pain and we truly hope that she found her big sister, Harley. Maybe the cats and rats too although whenever bothered much with the cats IIRC.

I am so excited to be back here and I hope that everyone is having a fantastic day!!

Ah.... so good to be able to be here while I drink my 1st cup of coffee.... oh, yeah... I do drink more than one. :D Had to pause while I put the 1st load of laundry on. Now that OScraps is back open I can get back into my normal routine of checking on my OS buddies.

Chris, so sorry that it was time to let Ravyn go. Too bad about the snow cancelling the appts at the Vet's. I see you all still have your wacky sense of humor and that helped you get through this difficult time. <<< hugs >>> I saw your FB photo of Ray... such a beautiful dog.

Hey, Marleen.... glad to see you popping in. I agree... the new site looks so fresh and sparkling.

There are a lot of new features now so be sure to use the "How To..." videos to learn more. Kudos to @Vicki Robinson for doing an outstanding job on them. And Kudos to @Vicki Stegall and @Wombat/Ona and the rest of the team that worked so hard in the background to get the site ready.

Off to look around some more. Hope you all have a good day and a good weekend.

Good morning O! (For those of you old enough to remember, I am saying that in my best “Good morning VietNam“ voice.

Chris, I am so sorry about Rayvn. And my sense of humor is a bit off as well because I find it quite funny that it took 4 appointments to kill one dog. Growing up, my family was so sarcastic and made jokes out of everything. So that’s how I learned to deal with life.

I agree with Marleen 100%. The site looks amazing. And look at me, I even updated my profile picture. We did family photos last summer and we had one taken with masks. So that seemed a perfect way to return to the O—-all masked up and ready to go!

Kay, I saw your birthday layout and I thought it was beautiful! 80 and going strong is pretty impressive! You are an inspiration for this 63 year old lady.

Everyone have a great day. I’ll be back later.

Oh, you had me ROFLOL .... yes, my family has a weird sense of humor, too!!! Sometimes we crack up when we should be serious... just like Chris and her family.

Thanks about the nice comment about my page and my age.... shhhh.... don't tell but that photo was taken in Nov 2019 right before Covid became an issue. The family has commented many times since that we are so glad we had the get-together then as we wouldn't do it now. When I was 68 I had a friend who was 80 and I told her I wanted to be like her when I reached my 80's.... full of fun and ready for adventures.

Good Morning ladies... It seems like a lifetime since we have been in here to catch up with everyone! It is so great to be back at the O!! Everyone behind the scenes has done such an amazing job! It is going to take me a while to get used to this new look, but so far I am loving it!! Sadly my hiking group has not been able to get back together, but I have been getting out for walks every day and a few hikes with my Gary. Wednesday I got together with a good friend from my hiking group and we went on a beautiful hike together and went for lunch to "Just Jakes" and had a great Keto burger! It is so strange to sit in a restaurant that has hardly any tables in it and everyone is all masked up! Today I am going to the pool and I hope to spend the more time here to browse around the new forums and the gallery!

Chris - I am so sorry that you had to say good-bye to your sweet Ravyn! Yup I grew up with a bunch of sarcastic, crazy brothers and sisters too! We would have been totally inappropriate in situations the same as yours!! Oh the looks we used to get from others LOL o_O. Sure hope we get some great new smiley's one day!! Ughh on all the snow that you have gotten, we are so mild this winter, that my daffodils are already up and the grass could mowed again. Crazy!! I did have to wear my toque on my hike the other day, but once we got halfway through I had to take it off I got so warm. Poor Gary will never get to use his snowblower again LOL. We have been known to get snow in March though. I hope you have fun browsing around the gallery and forums today! It is so exciting to be back!

Marleen - How great to see you here and yes we are all so happy to be back at the O too! Have fun creating and posting your gorgeous pages again!

Linda - Love the new AVI! All masked up and using your “Good morning VietNam“ voice.!! Love it! Isn't great to be back here??

Kay - I am in need of my second cup of coffee this morning too! Yes it is great to be back to our regular routine of checking in here in the morning! I will have to meander over to the gallery soon and see everyone's new layouts! I have been a bad CheeryO and have not done much scrapping at all during all of this change over. So now its time to get busy again and start scrapping again! It will be so fun to try out all of the new how to's!!

Waving hello to everyone else that pops in here this morning! I hope you all have a fun and creative day!

Chris, big hugs for all your family went through for R! So glad you have that sense of humor. We all need to hear it.
I have to say though that the only part of the O I really missed was this part.
I've got to go as I'm picking up artwork I had in a holiday market and forgot to pickup on time. I'd planned a day to do it (probably the last day) but didn't put it on my calendar...so it vanished from my mind for a couple of weeks.

My lOvely girls, I missed you so much! So happy to be back to normal!

Chris, Sincere condolences for Ray! It was expected, but it's so horrible! Gosh you really know how to ruined every party, darling! Hugging you!

Now I'll have to take a breath, but I'll go back to give the necessary attention to all of you, lovely girls!

Good day. So glad the site is back. Missed you all. We have been having lots of walks. We got lots of snow. But for me the best news was I got my first COVID shot. It’s the Pfizer one. And I have my second appointment in 3 weeks. I cannot say enough how hard it was to get an appointment. It was so stressful. My DH still can’t get an appointment. But now with J&J next to be approved I hope all can be vaccinated.

Chris we only got about 24 inches of snow. It is still around, seems like little melting. Luther loves it. I am sorry to read about Ray. Your house must be so quiet. Sending hugs.

Kay so good to see you back.

Trudy saw your MG had a birthday. That must have been fun. Saw the Bruins are doing well. My poor Devils had a COVID out break and are in lockdown.

Jean hi. Saw the Browns did well this season. Seems like they are still trying to figure out baseball season. Glad you got your art back.

felis you were missed your humor for sure.

Marlene looking forward to seeing new art in the gallery.

I am sure I missed someone. Sorry waving to all. Good to be back

Hello, hello, hello!! SO glad to be back here talking to all of you! I've missed everybody and I LOVE the new board - so bright and sleek looking. It IS so much easier to do things, too. Just the bright, white background makes it seem fresh as well as new! Great job for all who worked and are still working.

Chris, I'm sorry you had to put Ravyn down. That is always so sad. Hope we can all catch up soon. Busy here as always and still no "real" internet. Still working off the Verizon hotspot. I can get online, but that's just about all. Still no downloading files for me and where I used to have to go every day or so has no internet right now. My only alternative is to drive clear into town and try one of the coffee houses. I don't see that happening very regularly. Such a bummer. They keep promising that the wifi's coming, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Popping in to say 'Hi" to all. I have been doing a lot of reading since the site was closed but now looking forward to working on pages and challenges. I had my Feb. Challenge all ready to go but, sigh, it is not to be. Oh well I can save it for another day. I am seeing lots of super kits I want to try in the shop. I really like the texture ones as my new fav thing to do is make masks. If you haven't done that yourself do try it is habit forming. lol
We have bulbs popping their heads out now and today I saw my first garden daffodil in bloom!

Happy belated birthday Kay.
Condolences on loosing your precious Ravyn Chris. I certainly can relate to the loss.
Stay safe in the snow all you that have had a downfall.
Cheers
