TGIF??? It *is* Friday, right? I thought that Wed was Friday and yesterday was Saturday and today was Saturday (again).

I am really feeling the Loopy-O bit for sure.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate taking Tindamax? If you have missed that in the past, I really do hate it.Thank goodness it is only one week out of the month and I have only 2 more doses.

Yesterday I spent some time trying to pack up the last bits of Winter decorations. Maybe they were holding some Cold Winter Weather Power and if I put them away, we won;t have to deal with it anymore. *hopeful*
The sun is out again today so I am going to hang onto that.

Cait didn't get to have her mtg with the Guidance Counselor, they didn't have time to get her in, so hopefully it will happen in the next few days. But at least the decision is made and it will just be a simple matter of dropping Math and adding one of her Electives. She really wants to take Food, Nutrition, and You and IMHO- that will be much better than Prep for College Math.

Today is another same old, same old. I wish it was nice out so at least I could spend some time outside, or even going for a little walk. But Leah is here this weekend and I love having her with us. Brendan is going to be here tomorrow and you know me, I love having the house full of laughter.

I have to post this now, so I can get dressed and brush my teeth before I do my Bus Stop Run.

QOTD What is your favorite part of Spring?
I love seeing the green shoots poking up from the ground. That gives me so much hope. I love when you start to feel a warm breeze, and getting my hands in the dirt. I cannot wait for that!!!

Glad to hear you are seeing the sun out! It makes for such a better mood, and you need that after all the cold and drab of Winter.

Back for a few!

Sharon- the 3am-Wide Awake Club is no fun!!
How was your visit with the young mom? It is really sweet of you to do that and I am sure she appreciates it very much. I know that I would! I had postpartum depression after Cait was born and Scott was just 2 and she had awful reflux and cried a lot (not like Scott and his colic- that was way worse!), and there were times that I really needed to get away from it all or I would lose my mind.
I cannot wait for the weather to be better so I can get outside.

Trudy- I wish we could be bored together. In your spring-y yard, NOT mine! Your frame is lovely! It took me forever just to find a photo of me that would work, but I want to spruce mine up too, maybe a little faery in the corner.
:love:Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!

I hope that you had a wonderful day and dinner!

Nancy- What a *great* kid you have, that is so awesome that he gave the truck to the family that needed it. I hope that he is able to get another picked out soon.
Sorry to hear about the Devils' loss, but they had a 4 game win streak?

Yeah- Solitaire on ipad... same here.....

Jean- I hear ya!! What is this strange thing-- "above freezing?"

Phyllis- sorry to hear that you had to spend so much time in the dr's office. The "good" thing is at least it only kills one day, could you imagine if you had to keep going back?
They were able to get all of the cancer out? Hope he doesn't have to go through that again.

Snow must be the original 4 letter word.

xoxo

good morning - my girlfriend became a first time grandmother yesterday. It is so exciting. We have known the family for years. They had a boy and name is Oberyn nicknamed Obie. Not sure how you pronounce the name. But he is cute and healthy so that is most important. I picked up my son prescription and then instead of just dropping it at the pharmacy I came home and walked downtown. On the way home I was so lucky as I was crossing the River I saw a red-tailed hawk fly over and he landed in a tree and as I went closer he flew but this time I could he had a squirrel in his talons. Since I don't like squirrels I was pretty excited. I only had my iPhone so I could not get photos but it was still pretty exciting. The NHL trade deadline in Monday and there had been speculation for days that my team would be trading several players. Well yesterday they traded Jaromir Jagr to the Florida Panthers. We got back draft picks. It was fun watching him play and I am glad I have his autograph on one of my scrap pages. Tonight the team will be playing the Boston Bruins - Trudy's MG team. I am hoping for a win but not expecting it. Then tomorrow night we will be joining the Devils fan club and watching the team play the Blue Jackets. Should be fun! Today I will be out walking again. So glad the sun is shining!

Chris glad you antibiotic is only the one week. Sounds like a fun weekend with the kids.

Fran good to see you!

Phylis hope things are going well now.

Sharon that is so sweet that you and your friends are helping out that young lady. Having to be inside all the time is not fun! I am sure she will love all the help she can get!

Trudy happy anniversary! Hope you had an awesome night out!

QOTD I like all the tree when they are in blossom. We have a huge park near us full of cherry trees and magnolias and when they are in bloom it is gorgeous!

Have a great day all!

I'm not usually "day sensitive," but this has been a week full of interaction with lots of people, so I'm sorta thinking TGIF too! I'm not my best dealing IRL with people!

But the time with Samantha was well spent. Including her, there were four adults. We visited for quite awhile, and expressed our agreement with her that being the mom of little ones was a tough job. She seemed grateful to hear that from us, as many people in her life have just been gushy about "the highest calling," and have blown off her inquiries about the challenges, and made her feel inadequate and guilty. She seemed open to suggestions on things she could do, and attitudes to adjust. We had a nice lunch together, then sent her off to have some alone time for awhile. One of the symptoms of her depression is failing to keep house. While she was gone, I got the kitchen cleaned up while one of the other gals played a couple games with the little girls. The 4-year-old started being bossy toward my friend, as well as to her little sister. Dorothy was sweetly trying to reason with her. I'd finally had it, and in a piercing voice, called from the kitchen, "Hannah! I am a grandmother, and you have to obey me. I want you to obey Miss Dorothy too, and stop being bossy to your sister." Dorothy told me she abruptly froze in place. Her eyes got big as tortillas, and she got up and went to her room. No one chased after her, or said a thing. She sat in her room talking to herself for awhile, then came out and joined us as if nothing had happened! Then we read books until Mom came home. The other friend has a daughter just a bit older than Samantha, and she is making contact with her today. She is going to try to get her hooked up with a MOPs group in the area, where Samantha can, hopefully, make some friends, and have some adult time while the girls are cared for (MOPs = Mothers of Preschoolers).

Anyway, I'm happy to have some down time today...watch some more Creative Live broadcasts (although my brain is way overloaded already!). I'm making progress with the new PS CC, but still struggling with Lightroom. I'm also wondering if Lightroom does that much more than Camera Raw editing.

Happy Anniversary, Trudy!

Nancy, the hawk sighting is so exciting. I love the big birds so much. It is a thrill to have bald eagles in our area. There were none when I was a kid, so I'd say that's environmental progress!

My favorite part of spring, hands down, is the lengthening days. I love the long daylight hours of summer, and appreciate each little increment every day.

Typical spring drip drip drip...gray and gloomy. BUT, no snow, and all that rain encourages snuggling up indoors, where I have plenty to keep me occupied.

Hope you all HAGD!

Morning ladies... just a quick drop in for me today again. I have been awake since 4am and now I am heading back to the sack
big-bed-smiley.gif
I have been cleaning, making breakfast for DH and recording some lessons from Photoshop week that were rebroadcast. I should have been in here too for a bit. Now I am exhausted and ready for a quick nap! Hope to be back here later today to catch up on personals. Hope everyone has a great Friday. Oh BTW dinner was fabulous and our son even called from his trip to Disneyworld to say Happy Anniversary.

QOTD: Flowers are good, longer days are super, but for me the best is the spring migration of birds. We always look forward to the arrival of Common Grackles as a sign spring is coming. This year I don't know when they might show up. In warmer years they'd already be here but not with this weather. Also the pine trees behind us where they nested were cut down, so don't know if the ones up the street will be enough. But eventually we see migration of colorful beauties like warblers, tanagers, orioles, indigo buntings, etc. Boy it's nice to think of all that!

Sun but cold today, nothing special on tap.

Chris, hope you don't feel too loopy today! And that those around you all have it together as well. Enjoy the kidlets.

Nancy, I suppose I should cheer for the Bluejackets as a team in the state, but I'm still miffed Columbus has an NHL team but we don't. So, go Devils. Love the red-tail sighting. Squirrels are sure a favored food and they could catch lots of them as far as we're concerned too.

Sharon, go Grandma! Sounds like that little girl sure needed a good dose of what for. So nice you found many ways to help the mother. I admire you taking on all the classes and new products. Sounds exciting, but maybe overwhelming.

Trudy, so sorry you were in the early-wake up again. Hope you got a good sleep later. Glad you had a nice dinner out and that thoughtful call.

Happy -almost- February is over to all!
