The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Do you all remember back to yesterday when I said this:
The weather here has been fantastic-- we got up to 55* yesterday, and I even took the doggy for a walk. She was so happy!
It is supposed to be close to that again today, but cloudy. But wow-- for someone who hates snow, this has been the best winter ever.
and this:

Phyllis- my neighbor and I were saying the same thing yesterday- her daffodils are halfway up and at some point we *will* get snow. Poor things!
But I am enjoying the sun while I can.
Well, guess what????

It freakin' snowed last night!! WTH????
I leaned over my desk to put my computer on this morning and looked out the window. The ground looked weird. It looked weird b/c it was white. I am in total disbelief. It was 55* yesterday again, and was supposed to be around the same and rainy today. Yet we got snow. *smh*
Not a lot, thankfully, about 3" which is nothing. (I just remembered I had a dream i was driving in snow last night. I wonder if I heard plows in my sleep??). But of course its a delayed opening, and you all know how I feel about them-- ahhhhhh!!! Confusion!!!!
I have three trips to the buses today plus work. I am never going to get it all straight in my head.

It could be worse, gotta keep focus...its only snow. LOL

And I know you have been following very intently about my computer saga. Gary and I were having trouble getting ACDSee to work, it couldn't find the database on the EHD, so he copied everything over to my internal HD- in Windows.:faint:
To people who don't use ACDSee, I know. You are saying "So what?"
But those of you who use it know that Cardinal Rule. Never move anything outside of ACDSee or you lose your tags.
Six years of digiscrap supplies... all tags are gone. All Authors, kits names... everything..... :(

I tried to restore from an old database, nothing. Tried to rebind orphans, nothing. Went to look on my EHD-- its corrupted- everything is unreadable or missing.
The good news is that the files are still fine. That would be truly horrible. But I had a lot of tags.... I am going to see if I can search for the tagging info and maybe I can re-tag quickly. If not its going to be a long process.

And my scanner drivers won't update and Windows can't find find them so I have to see if I can find them online.

Who the heck thought computers would make life easier?? Tell me, who????!!!

:ranger:

Love you all!!

OMG - how frustrating! I'm so sorry! I'd go crazy, having hard to not throw the computer out the window.

We still have lots of snow, but it's spring in the air. It's melting, dripping from the roofs and it "smells like spring". Too early, I know, but anyway.

Today they announced the name of our new little princess. I'm sure NO ONE had guessed the right name. Princess Estelle. Not a traditional Swedish name - but it's kinda beautiful I think. But most important - her full name is Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary. I have a royal name, and I demand you treat me accordingly :drama:

Finish it Friday:
I need to iron .... sigh
No other plans.

Personals:

Did it snow near you at all Phyllis? Hope we didn't jinx you too :)
Do you follow the glycemic index for foods at all? Gary is supposed to be he would rather lovingly pat his insulin pump, say that he has a pancreas strapped to his side and eat whatever he wanted. *eye roll*
But i remember that some foods are much better to eat than others and hopefully the dietician can help. Ask him/her about Chromium picolinate too- its a mineral (?) that is supposed to help insulin work better in the blood stream, IIRC. Just my two cents :)

Oh- I also wanted to ask you for your breakfast cookie recipe. Caitlyn is getting worse about eating and her blood work came back borderline anemic and low in calcium. I thought maybe if I made something like your cookies it would be a healthier option than a piece of toast.

If any of the rest of you brilliant ladies have a recipe/ideas to share, I'll take it!

Laurie-- sounds like a good day, a fake tooth, flowers, and food!

Donna-- dogs... gotta love 'em!

Kristy- hoping that your brood is healthy today!

Trudy- it would be way cheaper for you to deliver the rocks to me. Just sayin' :D

J- sometimes a boring life sounds liek Heaven to me LOL
Did the table tray work out for you? I really hope so b/c its not fun to be in pain. Its also not fun to not be able to scrap. *gentle hugs*

Linda S-- a baby whale!!! oh how awesome! Just hearing about it soothes my soul and I hope that being inthe vicinity to all that beauty and life will do the same for our Maureen.

Eva-- you are always a queen to me. A royal... pain in the butt.

*runs away VERY quickly...................*

OK, you two. stop hitting each other with fish.

Chris. computers save no one any time, except when you need to look up something on Google. all the rest is time EATING. honestly, i can't imagine how you're feeling about the loss of all those tags. it makes me slightly sick to think of it. i know from other people how time-consuming tagging stuff is. good luck. i think everyone should use my organization method: good old folders named "Digi Scrap Elements Clocks," DigiScrap Paper Solids" and the like. i am low-tech by choice.

it didn't snow here, but it's freezing, and we're supposed to get a littl snow overnight and into tomorrow. just enough to kill all the spring flowers that were starting to come up around here.

i can't think that my cookies are "healthy," but try this one instead. you don't have to go find almond flour for this recipe, like you would with mine. this has oatmeal and peanut butter in it:

Eva. i mean "Your Highness!" you make me laugh every morning.

gotta go for the pee test to see where my infection stands. high point of the day....

TGIF!

Good Morning Ladies... no snow here yet, but man is it raining!!! Have to head to a funeral service today so I sure hope that we don't get the :smow: I suppose if it gets ugly out there I just won't go. I have to drive over a higher elevation to get to the town where the service is and it always gets the crappy weather ! We will see I guess.

Chris - Must have been a shock to see all that snow, especially when it was so nice yesterday. Poor you with your ACDSee troubles, I would have pulled all of my hair out by now!!:smash: I am more like Phylis and just use the low tech method, but I do have problems finding everything I want. I keep telling myself I have to tag everything, but oh my I don't want to even think about having to start from scratch :dizzy:

Eva - Your Majesty :hail: Do we all have to bow in your presence now?? LOL You and Chris try to get along!! At least you did hit each other with a brick! :brick:

Phylis - I used to make those cookies for my kids when they were little, they were their favorites :hungry: I will have to remember to make them for the grandkids one day! Hope your pee test goes well, have you had an infection for a while now? I used to get UTI's a lot , sure don't miss having those!!!!

Kristy - Sorry that you are feeling like crud! I guess when the kids get sick it is inevitable that you will get it too! Try to stay in bed and drink lots of fluids.... take care of you!!

Hubby wants to take me out for a fancy supper either Sat. or Sun and perhaps a movie or something afterwards, its our 35th wedding anniversary on the 26th. We were thinking of going somewhere warm, but it looks like we will be heading to Winnipeg to watch our grandkids for 10 days while my son and his wife go play in Paris instead. Not exactly a relaxing time on the beach, but I am excited to see them again and have them all to ourselves for a change. We will need a vacation afterward I am sure!!
Well I better get some breakfast and get ready for the day! TGIF everyone

Kristy, feel better! :(

Trudy, happy anniversary! that's the one that's coming up for me and my hubby later this year. your guy sounds SO romantic. what a sweetie. but 10 days with grandkids. hmmm. i don't have that much experience, but it sounds like a LOOONG time. maybe YOU will get a Paris vacation after Winnipeg! :paris

Oh Chris - I am so sorry. Just this week I was thinking of trying that program for organization. Now I'm thinking no. Is there a way to tag items just in the computer photo gallery? I don't like to break up my kits, some are CT items that are not easily recognizable from the name. I could, of course, rename them but....no. Lol. I'm not that desperate.

In other news...this house is under quarantine. I am so sick. :-( this morning I was feeling okay so I drove to town to run errands. By noon, I couldn't stop coughing, my head was pounding and I shivered the entire drive back (about 1 hr). Now I'm on the couch under a super heavy blanket, fire roaring in the fireplace, and my goosebumps have goosebumps. Maybe I'll get the energy to huddle with the laptop and do some scrapping. *cough, hack, cough* Maybe not. ;-)
