Happy Friday to my O-Fam! seems like no one wants to deal with the day and it is only 8 am.
Cait slept late, Scott did too. even the pups didn't want to get out of bed. I didn't either, but that ain't nuthin' new. It rained last night and now the temps have dropped quickly so all of the slush we had is now ice. Hope the roads are ok for the kids to get to school. My town has a delayed opening but the HS buses run about the same time that they have to head out so roads should be salted by then.

I survived yesterday! I was exhausted by the time we got home but I made it. Dentist went fine and yes, my teeth feel great! LLMD went fine- as expected. I had dropped back down to my lower hand strength. November had been a good month, strongest that I had been in over a year and my Rheumatoid Factor had gone down too. But yeah, the last 2 months were not so good to me. We aren't changing anything treatment-wise since it is hard to separate my normal winter issues vs Lyme issues. I go back in three months to see where things stand. She is pretty convinced that I had a new tick bite last year which caused such a bad decline over the summer and then better after my treatment was kicked back up. As always, it is an interesting journey. :loco:

Cait babysat for my friend's kids yesterday and she told Caitlyn that my old friend had passed away. I just can't get my head wrapped around it all. It is very sad how cancer just destroys so much.

Gary and I were going to open up a new checking account today at a Community Bank in town and get out of Wells Fargo. We hate that bank but it is really confusing trying to close one out and open another, especially in the age of direct deposit and auto-pay. But it was time. The fees that Wells Fargo is implementing are ridiculous and just added the final nail to our opinion of them. Instead of having to go in to the branch, we actually were able to do it all online. Now we only have to wait for our info to clear and then we will be all set.

Cait has a Drs appt this afternoon and of course, I am going with her. Moral support and all that. Sheis getting those weird hives again. We had been to an allergist a few years ago who said that it was more an overactive immune system response than an actual allergy so we will have to see what the next step will be.

It has now taken me over a half-hour to write this since I needed to warm up Cait's car for her, play with the dogs, listen to Scott's bad parrot joke and finish my coffee. :)

Hope you are having an incredible day!

Nancy- hope that you didn't slip and slide too much on Luther's walk this morning. Whew, that is good that his ear is all better. I wonder if it hurts dogs as much as humans to have an ear infection?
Hope that you didn't have any trouble driving home from your game.

Rae- better to pace yourself with the work than to overdo it and not have any energy to be with Bailey. Will you be bringing her back to your house tomorrow or will she stay with Jen? As long as you all have time together!

Trudy- Men!! Don't they understand a need for coffee? How did you go shopping un-caffeinated??? :faint:
Tell your Gary happy birthday!
I didn't fall asleep at the dentist but I was almost asleep in the waiting room at my LLMD. I had my eyes closed and when the nurse called me back I didn't see/hear so Gary said my name and I jumped- saying "what??!!"

Jean- what a great story! I am so shocked that cat-walking (feline, not fashion LOL) is so common. What a sight that must have been!
I have an ancestry.com question for you. I guess with the DNA kit or new account, I can get a 30-day free trial. Is it worth it? Can I access info that I have after the trial is over? I know that my uncle (my dad's brother) has extensive research done on it and with Scott having his DNA done too, it would be fascinating to see what comes up, especially for Scott since both of Gary's parents did theirs too.
Would it make sense for Scott and I to do the 30 trial at the same time?
Hope that you don't mind me picking your brain a bit. I appreciate any help that you give :)

Felis- ouch! Sorry that your kitty scratched you. I hated having to clip my cat's claws. Floyd doesn't like me as much as he likes Gary so he always does him and I would do Kibs. I still have a scratch from her on my ankle that it almost healed up. Kind of don't want to see it go. :(
Cait had bought a harness for Bunny but Bunny was so big that the extra large was too small. She was a New Zealand White and was about 16 lbs. You think she would have learned that rats and rabbits don't like them haha!!! She spoils her babies for sure. I don't know where she learned that from. :noidea:

xoxoxo all of you!!!

good morning - well last night's game was a blast from the past. My Devils won 4-2 with Nico Hishier scoring in the last 2 min of the game. The Devils came from behind. It was probably the most physical game of the season which is not surprising as the Flyers were just two points behind my team in the standings and the Devils had yet to defeat the Flyers. At one point Radko Gudas just slams into my Kyle Palmieri for just a two min penalty. He jumps right into him. And that was the start of my fights and big hits for the rest of the night. But in the end my team won so it was awesome. And my rookie came through. So fun. The rain held off until we got to car and not bad on the drive home at all. Tonight I have a meet the Devils rookies event at the Rock. Should be fun. Luther is at doggie day care so I am getting some chores done. I have to pay bills. That is never a fun time but must be done.

Chris how funny everyone was not in the mood to get up. At my house everyone was up and loud at 5:30am. Not fun. Glad the move of banks was easily done online. I love bill paying online. Makes it so much easier though I am not sure what my DH will do if something should happen to me LOL. Glad also the dentist and dr visits were good.

Rae my girlfriends love this is life and I just don't want to watch shows that I know I will cry at. I like happy shows - give me Hallmark any time. LOL beside my favorite character is the one that dies and that also makes me not want to see it. But I do know that it is a great show. Good luck with the work load today! And yes hockey in person is so fun!

Trudy - men - my men have often used all the milk or drank my last Dr Pepper or eaten the last yogurt and then expect that because I am home I should not have a problem going to the store. I find it rude! Good luck shopping without coffee.

Felis so sorry about the kitty and the scratch. Luckily lips heal pretty fast. My son is the only one who can trim our kitty's claws. She is never happy but she lets him do it. We put the harness on the cat with out the leash to let her get the feel of the harness. She was hysterically funny in how she kept and ran but eventually she settled down and then let us put it on any time. My son was so sure she would run away she had to be on a leash. He so loves this cat.

Jean that is amazing how many of us have cat walking stories. I think it is wonderful how much cats want to be with you but on their own terms. We will be getting your cold air soon.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. It is cold, wet and dreary here today. Even Taz doesn't want to go outside. He looked out twice at the torrential downpour and then backed away from the door. I'll have to remember to try again soon b/c he's going to need to go at some point LOL.

The house was quiet this morning as D had to leave early for a meeting so was gone by 6:30. I enjoyed reading my latest book as I sipped my coffee (Year One by Nora Roberts). I love when I get a book that I hate to put down. Chris...you might like this one, its a sci-fi dystopia type of book but with a bit of magic in it. At the end of this yr the second book will come out.

Today I will bring a few more bags of clothes to VV. I want to pick up a few more hoodies. I find the days that I am chilled and the basement feels a bit too cool, I keep warmer by wearing a hoodie rather than a sweater. I guess it keeps the body heat in better.

Today I will try some sheep milk yogurt. Our local stores have all run out of the coconut yogurt. Apparently there is a supplier issue going on right now. I cannot live without my yogurt & jam, its one of my go-to snacks.

B is not coming this wkend, she's struggling with heavy issues at the center (I can only imagine how hard it is to be in therapy every single day, its so intense). Jen is going up on Saturday. D and I will stay home, I have lots of desk work that'll need to be caught up and have some chores around the house that need to be done. Jen, for now, has agreed with her boss to get Sat off but work every Sunday, so if B comes home on a Sat for an overnight visit we'll have to bring her back on Sundays, so I might not get to attend many, if any, of the Saturday seminars. They only allow 2 visitors so we are all sharing time (us and her dad and his family).

Chris - you're like D, he can fall asleep in a dentist chair too. Not me...I tense up, feel uncomfortable and can't wait to be done. Glad you got the banking stuff done without too much hassle. So sorry to hear of your old friend passing away.

Nancy - if you want a feel-good drama/comedy kind of show to watch, if you haven't already seen it....watch "Kevin Probably Saves The World" with Jason Ritter. Both D and I love him in this role.

Hope everyone else is well. I'm getting a coffee refill and getting to work. Have a great day everyone.

Hi all
I downloaded a kit but haven't been up to working with it. Need to get busy- just too much going on and family drama. My MIL is depressed (FIL died 7 months ago and she really hasn't had a chance to grieve, because her Son IL keeps coming to "keep her company") He lives in Missouri and we are in Louisiana. I kept telling everyone she needs to be alone. In the 7 months, she has spent about 1 month truly alone. Her Son IL has a desire to feel needed so he comes to his MIL. I don't get it because there are 5 of us right down the street to take her where she needs to go, but I like to give her space. Hope you all have a good day!

Rae-I know what you mean when you get a good book. I just don't move when I find one!

Chris- hope your strength gets better and as always, sending good vibes your way

Nancy- sounds like a great game

Felis- my cat scratches me as well and a few times I needed stitches- ugh

Jean- amazing story

Morning O-zies! Wow big miscommunication with my DH yesterday! I thought he was taking the day off to go for his MRI this morning. I don't know what I was listening to when he was explaining it to me, but he doesn't have his MRI until Wednesday morning and only took the day off today because it was his Birthday! Oh well thats ok we have plans to go out for dinner and I picked up a little gift for his special day a nice leather holder for all of his remote controls and some lottery tickets to put in his Birthday Card. The remote holder is a gift for me too as it drives me nuts that they lay all over the place!! :becky: It has finally stopped raining for a bit and the sky is showing some signs of blue, fresh snow on the top of the mountains and the wind is blowing again, so more crap to clean up in the back yard. Looking forward to spring arriving so we can get the mess all cleaned up and power wash all the green goup off the decks etc.

Chris - Glad that you cut your ties with the old bank! Nothing worse than being charged all those fees that nickel and dime you to death! You will love being able to do all your banking online! Glad that your Dentist appt went well and too funny about Gary having to wake you from your little nap in the waiting room LOL! Sorry to hear about your friend passing! DAM CANCER!! Our son-in-law Jonah just lost his Grandfather Orlin to Esophageal Cancer poor man was in the hospital for a very long time. Sending out sympathy cards to everyone today, not my favourite thing to do!

Nancy - Was surprised to hear that your Devils came from behind and won their game! Last I heard they were behind and we never checked the score again. Good for them! Glad for you!! Luther will be worn out from doggie day care I imagine and yes darn it those bills all have to be dealt with don't they! Enjoy your fun night at the Rock tonight, you lead such a fun life with all of your sports events!

Rae - Has it stopped raining at your place yet? Nice to see some blue skies here for a bit, but it looks like more clouds are rolling in and they are pretty dark. Poor Taz will be bursting at the seams to get outside and will have to suck it up and get wet LOL. Sorry to hear that B is not coming home this weekend, but good that she is dealing with it! Yes it must be so hard to be in therapy every day! I would love to find a good yogurt too, I miss my yogurt and have never been able to find one that isn't high in carbs and sugar. I will keep looking though! Isn't it nice to have the house all to yourself especially when you have a good book that you don't want to put down! Enjoy!!

Jean - Thanks for the birthday wishes for my DH! I will pass them on to him for sure! Love your cat walking story, how funny!! Silly me for thinking that DH's MRI was today, glad that he can enjoy his birthday without having to sit in a machine for 45 mins. Hope your temps didn't dip too low last night, spring is on the way isn't it??

Felis - Ouch!! getting scratched on the lips is not nice!! Hope you heal quickly, as sometimes a cat scratch can be quite nasty! Hope you are enjoying a good day!

Sharon - Sorry to hear that your MIL is feeling so down! Yes perhaps that is what she needs just some time to be alone and grieve in her own way! You might all have to have a talk with the Son-IL!!

Well I better get dressed and get my DH something special for his Birthday Breakfast! Hoping you all have a wonderful friday and that you get to do something that makes you smile today!

Got here late and before I could read the posts had to take a call from a friend (they are usually long ones) as she can't attend a genealogy meeting tomorrow morning and I'll be reporting for her. She'll be at her grandson's birthday instead. Since I wrote so much about "the book" you might like seeing a bit of it in my LO today in the word challenge: https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=385831&title=hochrein-3a-the-book&cat=1192 Meanwhile, it snowed last night, but not much.

Felis, so sorry the cat scratched you and sure hope it heals quickly. Thought I saw a cat in our driveway last evening, but with a closer look as it ran across the street and down the sidewalk, I saw it was really a raccoon. I wish they weren't in the neighborhood as they can be such pests getting into houses and things. The skunks don't bother me as much. Sometimes one will be under our back porch, but never have gotten in a house that I know of. Hope you have a good weekend!

Chris, nice Gary was there to get you attention in the Dr's office. Wish the news had been better, but if no change in treatment, that's no so bad. Hope Cait got some answers in her appt. Let me think about Ancestry and its subscriptions. You can see a fair amount with just the free one, but not all.

Nancy, wow, what a game last night! And how cooperative of the rain. Hope it's not too icy now. Who cares about the weather though when the front page of the paper today has a photo of the Indians' equipment truck leaving for Arizona yesterday!

Rae, sorry B is not getting out this weekend, but good that she's dealing with things. At least good that Jen has Saturday free. Hope the rain stops and Taz doesn't pop.

Sharon, sorry there is still so much on your plate. Sure hope you can find time and energy for some scrapping with a new kit.

Trudy, I'm sure you and your Gary are having a fine day for his birthday. The MRI isn't the first miscommunication we've had reported here. I think it is pretty common.

Wishing everyone a happy weekend.

:jaw: you cut your cat's nails?! Why you both do that, Nancy and Chris? This is for dogs only. Cats needs their nails and they can to care themselves for their length.

I had so blue Friday!
Because I learned that some people trim their kitty's claws. I'm just kidding this is another strange culture difference.
I feel so blue, because right now my life is a little mess. I feels like I only work, clean and sleep these days! Time fly so fast from me.
Do you think that God has predetermined our path and that we are just tokens in his plan? Did we all are nothing but marionettes on strings in one big scenarios? And what is the point to try hard when all will happen how it was planned?! Long time I believed that, what I do make sense, but the homeless pets around are more than ever and I'm so useless. It would be different if I was created foundation or shelter, but I never found strength for that. And soon can lose even the small that I do. I don't mentioned this before, because worse things happened, but after the snow melted looks like the roof on cat houses have some damages from the winter, probably after the wind. Dad can fix them, but he don't want to invest in that because actually before to become a cat house, this is a farm house of my mom and aunt. Aunt don't mind I to use it for the cause, because it's too old someone to live there, but in every moment she can come back and take her part. So dad don't want to spend money for property wich can lose. And of course I'm not bringed back the credit I have, so I can't buy materials too. When I start to work for the printing office I was so happy and I was kidding that I can do it forever. It's the only official part time work (except the sellings) which we could found in our town. For most of the people inclyding my mom and sis this is second job, but so I have enough time to care for my kiddos. Problem is in that all prices of products and services are gone up for ten years, but the salary isn't. Yesterday one woman is ask about that and boss is just gone mad, inspect her work, found some 'unacceptable errors' and fired it. This is the second time when this happened with someone who ask for raise. I know I have to find new job. But what if the boss screams at me like on my aunt, or if say that I can get day off when cats are ill like Jen's boss, I can accept to be treated bad, my pride is bigger than my feeling for duty, so I wouldn't stay for a long on many of the jobs places. I can risk just like that this what already have, but don't have time for second job, and if I quit it's very possible to finished without any job. For some time I just wait to see where the plan of the Gods will takes me. But in the pagan religion you control your life oun by yourself and what if they are right and it's mistake to follow the wave of the life and have to to run our boat alone?!
Oh, and as an add-on to that. I tried to contact with old friend which is changed her phone number. This is usual here, after contract with the phone company expired you can get better deal if change your number then if just extended it. So I tried to contact with here at the social media. And I saw the profile of man with who I was in romantic relationship years ago. He is doctor now, have a beautiful wife and from the profile photo is not clear but they probably have a child too. All my friends have careers and kids. That's are things that I don't need, for me they are clishea. So I don't understand why I feel so disappointed to see what I'm miss. I don't need this, but I didn't created what I wanted, and now I have nothing and no idea how to create what I want to be. :frusty:

Ouch, this gone too long, I'll come back later with the personals.

Chris, I'm not surprised that your results are down with the winter and whole this stress, but hope Spring make things better! So sorry for your friend loss!

Nancy have fun at Devils rookies event! Great that Luther is recovered! Which reminds me that Grigor Dimitrov announced that his trauma is serious and he wouldn't play at the Sofia Open, but he came for the children open lesson wich was nice. Two other big tenisist also canceled their games here, it's not good year for our tourney.

Rae, good for you to find addicting book, I'm start 5 but didn't finish any from ages, really have to tighten myself! Great that Jen is found some solution, and even is better that you'll have to bring B back on Sundays because this will give you more time with her! Oh strongly hope that she will can come next weekend! And hope that your working weekend wouldn't be too grueling! This mistakes on a last cheque totally stink!

Sharon, I wasn't download my kits from previous month till beginning of this, but then they gives me such a good inspiration, so I hope same tho happen with your too! I think you are right at some point, people needs space and time to can fight with their sorrow, but also is easier to fall in a hole when you feel lonely.

Jean, Oh the books looks awesome! You have to scrap some of these old postcards that was mentioned too!

Trudy, Happy birthday to your husband and best wishes! Such a good decision to took the day off the birth day! I hope it was fabulous day! Today (actually Friday because I write it for then) is also the birthday of one of our biggest actress here. She is a lovely lady and still play on 96 years age and she is in main role not in a short scene, so impressive!
