@LSlycord I cannot imagine how stressful it is waiting for college acceptance news. Give Syd a big hug from me, I know that she has worked super hard.
Thank you so much, you are a love
If I ever say something that is mean or ignorant, it probably is snark that went down with a thud. Ha. I might doubt myself on some things, but never if my intentions are good ( I *still* feel bad about saying mean things re: LLL and Arlene. And I worry about LL. Still. I can be too nice Hmmmph)
Maybe someday your kids will be more interested in the history and culture of China and I know that you will be there to guide them.
Scott showed me a photo that his friend took of the NYYC skyline from the mountain, it was amazing! I can only imagine how much better it looked in person. I miss going into the City. My family hates it. I would never live there but it is such an awesome place to walk around. The Shore- now that is a place I would move to in a heartbeat if I could. And had several million dollars to buy a house.
So many of you nomads. I am an NJ-Homebody. I have only lived in three houses - my parents', a small condo when we first got married in the same town as my ILs, and the Big Move up here. All 45 minutes away from them. Real big moe hahah! (Not counting the houses- if you want to call them that- when I lived at college in PA)
@BrightEyes Oh yuck that your DD needs to have surgery and will need help in the beginning. Dogs and kids- not a good combo with crutches. That is a good idea for her to stay with you, and I will tell you, no matter what your age, it is always nice to have a mom fuss over you when you don't feel good.
How awful that DS and his wife were separated for 2 years! I am so happy for them to be together.
How much snow did you get? It will be nice to have the windows open-- someday!
@mom2triplets04 Are you getting the crazy winds by you too? The temp has dropped 10* since I started typing this post. My lawn is nothing but mud/ice/dog poop. I scooped sooooo much of that yesterday and there is still more under the ice. Stay warm today!
@taxed4ever What a gorgeous hiking spot! And no snow on the ground. Lucky! It must feel so good to be out there and moving, just wait-- the pounds are going to start melting off. You got this!
Congrats to Team Canada on the hockey win! I miss Nancy too. I stalked her FB a few weeks ago and there were pics of her with the new family and she looked very happy. I hope she checks in someday to update us.
@Cherylndesigns Yikes, that would have been a lot of traveling, and to Korea no less. You are a way more adventurous soul than me. Gary once was offered a switch to San Francisco when the kids were very little and I didn't want to go. Good thing he turned it down because the owner of the company literally walked away from it and we would have been stranded.
Thank you for always knowing that I mean well, even when I put my foot in my mouth.
Hehe, yeah, no surprise that I don't remember telling you all about my mom and the pacemaker. That whole period of time is a blur.
@tanteva My day/date challenged self must have rubbed off on you. Sorry!
Psst-- it is Friday here but it might be Sat by you depending on when you read this. What? That wasn't helpful? *G*
Cheryl-- There is a generic of that medicine, just that I didn't recognize the name. My family has been on and off so many meds that I usually can recognize if he had one. He had an Rx for the RLS but it didn't help. I cannot remember what it was for the life of me though.
Get this-- one of the sounds that I can't handle is cracking joints. Please don't ever crack your knuckles around me. Nails on a chalkboard, that doesn't bother me at all. Crack a nickel and I am through the roof.
So imagine me and Gary sitting on the sofa after dinner. Relaxing and watching TV. Bam, his ankles and neck go into the twitch mode where he *has* to crack it. Or in bed, while I am already suffering from insomnia. *shudders* It's brutal for both of us.
@scrap-genie I was thinking of you this morning. I got an email from Ancestry that they have DNA updates for me. It is even more specific from my ancestors were located in Italy- Central Southwest Italy, Avellino Province. I was poking around some Italy websites and you can search for surnames within certain areas- such a blast seeing a town with Iantoscas in it.
I can see how genealogy research can be addicitng!
Wow. I am running very late. Better get my day started. xoxoxox
