It is the Friday that feels like a Saturday because Thursday also felt like a Saturday. I think.

Forgive me if I am mentally scrambled, it has been a very weird week. Cait being home on Wed, both kids home yesterday, and then again today. They don't have any scheduled classes on Friday. It feels "off" to say the least.

We did get a lot of snow yesterday. I would say we hit the 10" mark if not more. It is going to be in the 40's next week so it will melt quickly. *fingers crossed*

I finished painting yesterday and I love the color. It came out really nice. Today is cleaning up, making sure I didn't miss any spots now that is all dry and then putting the DR back the way it was. I will try to remember to take a picture to share. That way I will be on track to collapse tomorrow :D

Here is some :tea: to keep you warm and cozy today.

xoxo

Nancy- Seriously, how crazy is this shift in temps? Did Luther have a good time in the snow? Jaida wanted to jump and run non-stop out there yesterday. Ray was having none of it. ha! I have to help clean off the cars later today so I will bring her out with me.
Good call on canceling puppy training. Is your DH ready to pull his head off and toss it in the trash yet? Poor guy must be miserable.

Sharon- 60*- cold front??? LOL

Rae- at Taz!!! Poor pup!! He must be wondering WTH happened to the fun white stuff? Are you watching the Missing on regular TV? we watched the first season on Netflix.

Trudy- Were you able to get the heat pump fixed on your own? It really is always something. grrrr. Hope that you are feeling better today. So far, Cait's cold is progressing normally, not like that horrible month long cold/flu everyone had a couple of months ago. Sending you some more soup :)
I have to add some more clear poly to my DR table and I am going to wait until spring. I wanted to do that soon, but like you said- too many stinky fumes!

Hugs to all of you who stop in today, enjoy your Friday!

good morning - well the snow ended pretty early in the afternoon so I think we only got between 7-8 inches which was more than enough. Luther was in heaven. We went out and he ran. Kids can be so stupid and as we were walking a 4WD was pulling a kid on a snow board. Well Luther wanted to chase and he pulled my DH in to the snow and it stopped Luther. I am laughing. I am a bad wife. Well come time for the evening walk guess who put on the choke collar I always use to keep Luther in line. Yes he did and he used it. Duh! It has taken a while but my DH is learning. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. LOL. My son was awesome as he did a lot of shoveling while we were out with Luther. My son and DH are so funny. I tell them there are two shows I really want to watch. Of course during those shows they want to jabber at me. And then they get mad when I tell them to go away!

Chris glad that Cait only has a cold and not the flu! And I am like you I feel like today is a Monday since every one was home. Glad though that tomorrow there will be no alarm to wake me up. So glad the color and DR are all done and you are happy! Chris I finished the first of the Kopp sister books and I really enjoyed it. I will be getting the second one for sure. It is fun to read about cities I know.

Trudy I am sorry you are still so sick and have no heat. I hope your MG got it working! I don't know what I would do without my space heater and my heat works. The Bruins came out really hard for their new coach! Must have made your MG happy!

Rae on yuck rain on snow is not fun. We have bright blue skies but cold temps only in the 20s but snow is melting. It was hard walking Luther as there was still a lot of ice on the side walks and roads.

Sharon that is not a cold wave when you only go down to 60 degrees. LOL

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Still coughing yuck!!! I am done with this cold already!! Up half the night hacking away!! Poor DH, but I listened to him cough for 3 weeks so I guess we are even LOL. Thank goodness my MG was able to get the heat pump fixed and all is right with the world again :becky: There was a lot of thick built up ice stopping the fan from going around and once he got all that removed it worked perfectly again. We have to build some kind of a protective cover for it so that all the snow and freezing rain doesn't fall into it from he upper deck and eves toughs. We don't normally get this crazy winter weather, but we always wondered why they put the heat pump where it was, if they had moved it back 2 feet it would have been in the perfect place. :noidea:

Chris - This really has been a crazy week and every morning I am guessing at what day it is also LOL. Not being able to go anywhere has really screwed me up too. Having the kids home must be so strange now. Sounds like you will be snow free soon with those nice warm temps that you are going to be getting! Ours is melting quickly and already we are able to see the damage that it has left on the bushes etc. around our yard, hopefully some will perk up again, but the one butter fly bush took a terrible beating and there are many broken branches. So happy that you love the colour of your DR! Yes please send us a pic!!

Nancy - I would have been like you and laughed at my MG for falling in the snow too :becky: Guess he is like most men and learned the hard way!! Hopefully his sinus infection is better and shame on them for talking to you while your fav show is on. Sometimes I do that to DH when he is watching hockey, then I get the evil eye and shut up :tape: LOL. Yes he was pretty happy with the way the Bruins played for their new coach a win at home, hooray!!
Hope you and Luther enjoy a quiet day today!

Rae - we are probably cross posting, but I hope that you get to have a great day and are able to get out for a walk! Hopefully the roads and sidewalks are clear of slush, but I am sure you won't be able to walk the parks for a bit, still lots of the white stuff to melt yet! Enjoy your day!

I am so tired of being stuck in the house and now know what my DD must feel like not being able to get out or go anywhere. Sometimes I worry about what will happen to her when she is much older, hopefully her kids and DH will take good care of her! I guess I won't be here to worry about it will I? Ok enough crazy mother talk LOL I need some more coffee and Chris I will take some of that chicken soup too!! Have a great Friday everyone!

Good morning, ladies. I have been sluggish this morning and actually have been feeling that way for quite awhile. I am going to start eating low carb again today. I have been counting WW points and after the initial first week loss haven't lost any more weight. I am going to commit to low carb for a month and see how I feel. As much as I love potatoes, rice and gluten free bread products, I don't think they love me back. I just cannot lose these 20 lbs I want to lose and more importantly, want more energy and with weight loss would have less stress on my back and knees. I've been having sharp stabbing pain in both knee caps since Xmas, that comes and goes throughout the day. We'll see how I feel after a month of getting back on the LC track.

I slept like a log last night but I feel really drained and tired today. Hopefully the coffee perks me up. I'll get out for a walk later with Taz so he can play in the little bit of snow that's left. I'll go to the produce market for cauliflower, peppers and greens later. This wkend I'll make some cauliflower rice to have throughout the week and want to cook up a big batch of spaghetti and meatballs.

Chris - I watched it on our Comcast tv. They had an early preview of it. I think S2 starts in March. Glad you got the painting all done. Bet it looks great.

Trudy - so glad your hubs got the ice off and you have heat now. Hope that cold clears up quick.

Nancy - yes, I would have laughed too LOL. How nice that your son shovelled for you. We had terrible timing this last snowfall. I had finished shovelling around lunchtime and a few hrs later a fellow showed up at the door offering to shovel but we didn't need him then. Sure wish he'd come earlier in the day. But I think that'll be it for snow here now. Other than a few flurries I don't expect we'll get anymore.

I downloaded a bunch of keto diet books and am going to do some meal planning over the wkend so I'll be prepared for my change in diet (again). I know I want to make some fat bombs (choc dessert) and need to get some cottage cheese today for cheesecake pudding/cottage cheese for snacking. Sounds kind of gross but is actually really good.

Better get to work now for a bit. Have a great day, everyone.

Good Afternoon...at 5:15 am the transformer in my backyard blew and we lost power. It just came back on at 2 pm- we had 2 transformers and a line down that put my entire neighborhood out of power and part of another. Wow- I was going crazy...besides the beeping of my ups, by girl doggy must have been scared (She is a doberman so everything scares her) and she had a mommy complex! Too funny

I went crazy by 1 and went to DD house with the dogs to play with their cousin (Golden Retriever) and I charged my phone. I was having computer withdrawls by then. lol

DD and DH are having fun in Nashville. DD had a job interview with the Japan Consolet, so I am praying. Now they are enjoying the city.
