Daily Ooos: Friday, December 9

Whew!!! We made it! TGIF!!

Yesterday went much, much better than Wednesday. Thank goodness. Not sure if I could have survived another day like that.
That said, it wasn't like yesterday was a piece of cake either. I was non-stop moving until dinner time. But I got the outside decorated, the beads/garland untangled, and found the box of Caitlyn's ornaments that was MIA-- all after cleaning for my friend. Who called last night to tell me she has Covid. I was only in the same room with her for 10 minutes... so that should be fine, right?

I have another busy day-- driving down the highway and back up to hit about 10 different stores. I usually make up gift baskets for my neighbor but didn't think I was doing it for her this year. She asked yesterday for me to make them and now I am behind the 8-ball. She has been really sick and I am not even 100% what she wants me to put in them. Today is going the be my big shopping day -- wish me luck!

My challenge is also up today, I hope that you all get a chance to scrap. It's making an Art Doll- I had a lot of fun with it. I ended up creating 2 different dolls. I better get them in the Gallery soon.

@LSlycord You have been busy with scrapping even if you haven't done those two Dec. challenges yet, I know you will.
BFF has a Sorrento and Cait had a Santa Fe. It was used when she got it, but it was in the shop often. FYI/FWIW
Scott was hoping to get a truck with third-row seating but thought about how often he would need it and decided against it. Wasn't worth the extra $$

@BrightEyes I am so sorry to hear that DD3 is still so sick, I hope that she is better soon. Did you sleep better last night too, bet you remembered to turn the heat down *G*

@vickyday I forget that Libby has audiobooks too, I have my search filters set to ebooks, so I don't always think about other formats
After last Christmas's events, the fact that I packed *anything* away at all was a plus hahaha.
You are trucking along with the blanket.

@bcgal00 That must have been really hard to post on IG and am sending hugs to you. It has to be a big step emotionally to think about it again, I am glad that you are feeling ready.

That is what Gary wants too, to get LED lights. I am going to keep my eyes open for any sales after Xmas

Good Morning!
Still raining here, but fairly warm. A picture from 4 years ago came up in my memories on FB and we had TONS of snow! Unusual to get that much snow in NC. If our wet stuff this week had been white stuff, we would probably have TONS of snow today! Thankfully it is only wet as DH and I are heading to see a school Christmas play in a couple of hours and it is an hour away!
Do you enjoy snow, @tanteva ?

I tied in my second skein of yarn on the baby blanket. I may not have as far to go as I think! I didn't measure the length of it today, but the width measures about 36" so I am guessing the length is about 30" maybe. I may need to go only about 18" more. But I will lay it out when it gets to that point and if it looks like I could add the rest of the yarn without it looking too long compared to the width, I'll probably finish out the skein. We will see. It feels so yummy! Here's what I have so far:


Well, nothing planned for today other than the school play. DH and I are planning to eat an early supper out after it is over. It starts at 1. DD told us to get there early. Fortunately she works at the school and will be saving us a seat!

I have made the hat, and most of the body. Have found my bag of filling and will start stuff my gnome soon. He's already told me his name is Sven, and that he wants a fluffy beard.

Urban is staying late in Mora tonight. He's going to a concert at the church. It was Mozart and something else. [Insert: couldn't-care-less-emoji] I am knitting and watching/listning to Youtube. Way more my thing. LOL

I bought the pattern on Ravelry.com (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/choose-your-gnome-adventure), but I'm sure you can find free patterns out there as well.

Good morning ladies. Dog park, CT duties, house chores and errands. Lots of little things to do today.

I downloaded lightroom mobile for my IG pics. I will enjoy posting random everyday pics there. Years ago I used to take a lot of "all about me" type of photos and somewhere along the way I stopped. So I am getting back into that and am doing a project life album on another forum for 2023.

@faerywings Glad yesterday was a better day. Fingers crossed you don't get covid. That short an exposure probably won't be a concern (I hope). I will post a pic of Taz in his sweater later. He is loving wearing his assortment of clothes. It's fun shopping for them too Hope your shopping goes well.

@vickyday The blanket is lovely. Glad you are feeling better.

@tanteva Yes, snow makes everything look so pretty. We are getting a few inches today and tomorrow.

Morning, gals. Been busy scrapping this morning. Racking my brain over what to do for Day 9 - Art Doll Dress-up challenge. Took a look in my Pixel Silhouette folder and found a couple of them to play around with. Turned out the one I wasn't sure would work was the best one for the LO. Once I had it on the page, the rest of it fell right into place. Only took about 30 minutes to finish it - love when that happens. Thanks for hosting the fun challenge, Chris!!! #kiss3 So, quick like a bunny, I got it uploaded here and to all the galleries.

@faerywings - Will keep my fingers crossed that your short exposure to your friend with Covid means you don't get it. Wow, your days just keep getting busier and busier. @Buddy the O' Elf , don't think Chris could squeeze in another job on top of what she has on her agenda!!!

@vickyday So sorry your tummy has been acting up so badly lately. Yes, it is hard to avoid have some of the holiday treats. Hope you are feeling better soon so you and DH can have a dinner out.

The LED lights were really easy peasy to put on the tree! I got these at Walmart - Amazon probably has them too. I told Chuck that we might get a new tree next year or if I see one on sale after Christmas. Yes, I think I've mastered the apps. LOL I think I was a little overwhelmed at first, but I played with yesterday and am starting to feel more comfortable with it.

Good afternoon all.

Started getting into the Christmas boxes last night. It's so much fun to pull all of my cute little Christmas owls and other things out. Of Christmas course Mr. Grinch gets to sit in one of the chairs. I love him! I honestly think that he's my two youngest gk's favorite memory. They always loved Mr. Grinch and I got them their own Grinches many years ago. Alyssa will come in and pick him up and say "Awwwww Grinchy". She does that every year.

I just heard two thuds - the cat is knocking over my Christmas trees. LOL He lays up on the credenza and that's where I put a lot of my trees and owls. He's very unhappy right now!! He just decided to lay on one of my Christmas canvases. I remember going through this last year. Little stinker.

Good evening friends. I never post this time of day but at least I knew that I hadn't done it yet. Now, as long as I remember to post, I'll be good. Had an 8:00 appointment with the cardiologist so I needed to be out of the house at 7:00. That meant I wasn't posting this morning. The news at the cardiologist was good...she said things sounded good. We will do another echo in March to make sure that things are looking ok...so I'm good with that.

I decided to celebrate the news by stopping for breakfast. Then I came home and spent most of the day reading and just finished "Where the River Ends" by Charles Martin. I thought it was an excellent book and it kept me engrossed until the end. I will be picking up more of his books! Although I may do an audible book next time because that doesn't prevent me from doing other things.

I'm going to post this and then come back for personals.
