TGIF! TGIF!!!
Coffee coffee coffeeeeee!!!

Oh my, I have been so busy. I know all of you are too. Do any of you have tips on how to better pace myself? I either have to be 110% full steam ahead or I am trashed. I am like a shark- either I keep moving or I sink and die (metaphorically die of course ;) ) I seriously hate the stresses of this time of year.

Today is another full day- babysitting, cleaning client, cleaning here, then Caitlyn's 4-h Award Dinner is tonight. Not only am I dreading it because its about 40 mins away and I have a hard time driving at night, but its not over until 9pm, which is way past my bedtime. :pound:

at some point after cleaning there and cleaning here, I have to run errands around town that I never made it to yesterday. I got my head so scrambled trying to accomplish too many things at once, I had to stay home b/c I had no idea what i was going out for! :bowl:

Lists.... To-Do Lists--- Must have To Do lists!!!
:help:

tee-hee! I hope that all of you are having calmer days that I am!

Finish-It Friday:
I'd like to finish putting the C-mas ornament boxes in the attic so I stop tripping over them inthe living room. I;d LOVE to finish my C-mas shopping and wrapping, but that is really not possible. I am still very much stuck on Scott....

Sending lots and lots of hugs, love and faery dust to all of you!

I am so sorry for neglecting all of you and doing personals. I know, I know, I am the first one to tell everyone else that you don't ever need to do personals but I really like to and I feel sad when I don't.

I am going to do my best to get to you today.

Laurie- did you say where you are going for your trip? I am so sorry, I can't remember... but I hope that the packing is easy, the transportation is on time and the weather is lovely!
ha! Your day sounds as crazy, if not crazierbusier than mine. Hope you were able to relax at the end of it all.

Eva- will check the link in a bit-- but Thanks in advance for the smiles- i need 'em! Did you watch movies at all? Hope you got some time to relax too.
Love your new siggie!!

Donna- the year after I graduated college that is what i got too. Actually, a few years ago, I got tires as well-- I'm sure your DD is so grateful, as I was each of those times. Tires are so darn expensive. I think a hot wheels or a monster truck would be hysterical!

Fran- any news today on how your moms are? Sending good thoughts to all. And a HUGE hug to you- you seem like you can use it. (((((((((((((Fran))))))))))))))))))

laurie, that is a great gift!

Phyllis-- hugs to you too.

Trista- feel better. Since you are newer to the Ooo's, I will tell you what I have been telling the old-folks here for years. LOL Garlic Pills at the first sign of a cold. Seriously. My first year teaching, i was sick mor often than not, until a co-worker told me about garlic. I took it every day and rarely got sick after that. I am not teaching any more, but when my kids came home from school sick, or we'd be out and about with lots of people coughing, I would take garlic. I almost never, ever get colds or flu, and if I do, it never gets as bad as the rest of the family.
So there ya go, my PSA of the day :)

Sally- thank you for the hope--- I needed that!!!!!!!!!!!!

meg- hahah! That Riley is too cute! heather had to be under my blankets watching tv with me last night, which was fine until she bit me. bad kitty!
It sounds like I am nuts, but I get what you mean about multiple customers and the way they do things differently. I go through that with vacuums. Every client has a different styled vac, and I go crazy trying to turn it on, turn off the beaters, remove the hose.... hahaha!

Maureen- when is his surgery scheduled for? Is it same day? Sending good thoughts!
How did you find out to recalibrate your monitor? I need to do that on my laptop and I just don't have the brain power to do it.

Debbie- I hope that you will still be able to pop in and say hi in your travels. good luck with the journey of changes life is taking you on.

Sandra- I love that idea of the Advent calendar, where did you find it? Great lessons in all of it. Yup, onthe business too- I need to start baking as well... next week (hopefully!)

Awww Yvon, she sounds adorable, although maybe not so much at 1 am ;)

Yay Eva! What did you watch?

bette rget running.......
but i don't waaaant toooooo........
Cant I stay here with all of you today??

No?

Phooey!

sending hugs and see ya soon!
xoxo

Morning All!

Hey Chris I love 'Finish It Friday!' Maybe we need names for all the days of the week!!...........maybe that is another post altogether.

My hubby just got back from a week of meetings and is off today so we'll try and run some errands and get a few things done. I hate how these December days fly by, just like all of you feel too, I'm sure.

Enjoy your day and Chris safe travels this evening.
Donna

Sally, i want you for my Fairy Godmother, you sweet thing, you.

i'm just trying to make it through the day without thinking today. that's the only way i can cope with Grandman #2's medical uncertainty. so, off to get busy with something. anything.

Happy Friday, ladies.

Morning Peeps

A good sleep in this am. I knew it was Cold out and bed just felt sooo good. So a late start to the day but no biggie. Without doing a lot for Christmas, it's more like ordinary days.

I did make some beef goulash yesterday but wanted it to mellow for a day. That means tonight's dinner is ready!

We also went for Dick's pre-op visit, and damn...his surgery has to be in DC not Annapolis. An insurance coverage issue.:frown: That means we have to be AT the hospital at 06:00 Tuesday which means we have to spend the night in a hotel, and if there are any complications, we(I) stay in DC for another night. Dick of course would be in the hospital. It just makes the ordeal a two day affair instead of a half day 3 miles from our house. But the only other option is to pay the part Medicare doesn't pay and that 20% is not small change. Gripe, gripe, gripe...

Back after some more tea!

Morning everyone... Very frosty this morning brrrr!! But the moon is out and shining on the lake it is soooo beautiful!! That means the sun will make another appearance today.

Chris - Oh so busy, that you are turning around in circles not knowing which direction to start in? That sounds like me this time of year also! I make too many obligations and then don't have the time to do it all in. What was I thinking?? Oh well it will get done my friend, you can do it!! We just both have to take a deep breath and do one thing at a time right?

Phylis - I think of you everyday!! I so hope that you hear some good news soon, the waiting is the worst isn't it!! Big loving thoughts going out to you and your sweet grandman!! Take care!

Donna - Have fun running around doing errands today, my running starts tomorrow, big trip to Costco to get ready to feed the masses that arrive shortly. Yikes!!

Maureen - That's so nice that you have your dinner all ready for this evening! Too bad that you have to travel for your hubby's surgery, no fun staying in a hotel room all by yourself, so hopefully things go very well and you won't have to stay an extra night! Keeping my fingers crossed for you and your MG!!

Well my "O" family I hope you all have a great Friday TGIF!! Take care!

It was all Swedish movies yesterday - one teen movie from the 80s (when I was a teenager myself) - talk about nostalgia! Then 2 crime stories together with DH.

Tonight it's the final of Swedish Idol. I've been sitting by the TV so much lately, I've almost finished the prayer shawl I'm crocheting. In record time LOL

Chris- How to pace yourself better? grow older. Well since that will happen in time, just don't put stresses ON yourself. None of you are physically well, so let …stuff…go. Your family will thrive more without a Mom who tries to do more than she really and truly can. A happy Mom is the best mom. Now just drive carefully tonight. Breathe and sing along the way!

Donna - I hope you enjoyed the time spent with your hubby. Sometimes errands together can be like a date, sometimes like a nightmare. Hope it was the former!

Phylis, where in the UK are you grand people? Maybe whatever it is will vanish just as quickly as it came on. Sometimes there just are medical mysteries than solve themselves. Prayers for him ~~~~~~>UK

Trudy, what kind of store do you work in? I'm thinking it's retail but I could be way off. Lots of frost here today too. Lovely to look at but you're right…brrrrr.

Eva, I love movie time. Since I have no fellow movie watcher in the house, I can watch what I like. Tonight it's the Valerie Plame movie, Fair Game. Got it at the library so it was free! Prayer shawls sound lovely. Lots of us needing those prayers right now.

Well soon it will be time to get dinner going. I've been on a Christmas Memory scrapping spree this week and that feels good. Later, peeps.

You are all so busy, makes me tired just thinking about the running and working!

Nothing new here but wanted to check in and wish you a happy weekend and to let you know I care.

Fritzie is back to his normal greedy little self. I think dachsies must be the top of the list for begging and eating. Takes after his Dad (also German) ;)

Phylis prayers still on angel's wing to you and grand little man!

And prayers and warm hugs to all!

happy friday night. I had a busy day at work, but I am home snuggled on the couch and enjoying that it is friday. I am also enjoying a glass of roadhouse red wine and my husband cooked dinner. I need to get laundry going and some other projects.

this has been the longest december 9th. we added nine hours to our day and are a bit zombie-like at the moment. kids are sitting on grandma's couch letting the ipad read a story to them and i'm just waiting until we can crawl into bed. we had an uneventful flight from germany to seattle, but it was still long...so hello from american soil, it's finally time to get into some Christmas Spirit!
