It is Friday!
I made it through the day and week and am not officially freaking out. Damn, I am on fire! :flame:

I am tired but I am doing the :cof2: today.

I got a lot of gifts bought yesterday and that is making me feel so much better. My Bone Scan was easy-peasy. I left my house at 9.15 and was out of there by 9.45. Most appts I have are longer than that just to get there. I went down to Home Goods and hit the jackpot! I love that store. OK, that is a bit strong since I tend to hate all stores. But, one stop shopping is nice and it isn't Walmart. So there.

I was able to get something for Arlene, very similar to the one I wanted to get at the local store for $50- but this one was $10!!!! All I have to do is print a couple of pictures of the family and wrap it up. I gave my IL's a Christmas plaid soup tureen last year and there was the same pattern on a long plate, and I found a tin of Campbell Scottish Shortbreads so they are done.I got a lot of stuff for gift baskets that I make and will add some F-W's and they are almost ready to go.

Now it is just my immediate family that I am stuck on, mainly Scott.

My day, of course, didn't get off without a hitch. A little bit before I left, Gary was in the attic and he couldn't find the tree stand. I went up and had no luck. He is all crabby about having to buy a stand so I said to order on online at Target and I will pick it up on my way home. *grumble, grumble, grumble* Nope not happening. I finally storm out because no matter what I said it was shot down. I got a text while I am in the waiting room- he found it underneath the camping stuff. Whew. Now we can get a tree.

That is the plan for today. Scott is working at the Garden Center until 3 so we will meet him there and pick a tree out and then decorate it. Leah is coming up for dinner so we will have our traditional appetizer and movie dinner with her.

Boy, I am tired.

:D

Love and joy to everyone!

Nancy- yay for clean teeth! I was debating about keeping my dental coverage to save the $25/month when I realized that w/o it, I wouldn't go for cleanings at all. I get one a year covered and they cover some of the fillings that I had done (Monday is my last one, whew!) It does feel nice to have shiny teeth.
You have a productive day too, good for you! Your sister must be so cold, I see that FL is "cold" too. And we are getting snow tomorrow. Pfft.
W has been doing great with no accidents, but I wish I could let her out on the lead and not eat poop. She is good when I say leave it, but if I am not right next to her...

Update on Brendan's car- the insurance company is only giving him the worth of the car with the damage to the bumper included. Even though he has a police report he hadn't yet filed a claim so they are giving him less than they should. Who would have thought his car would be totaled a few days after the first incident?

Trudy- ouch! Your poor hubs! Hope that he isn't too achy. My fingers are crossed for perfect weather when Heather comes in. You must be getting so darn excited!
I think Rae's shopping Karma rubbed off on me a bit too yesterday since I got so much stuff for $80. Thanks, Rae!!!!!
Hope that the insurance comes through without any problems for the car. And of course, there are cameras but not able to see anything. What good are they?
I stopped in at Goodwill before I went to Home Goods to see if there was an old bit of wood I could strip and refinish but there wasn't.
Pinterest if my friend but also my nemesis when it is too close to Christmas LOL

Rae- Your shopping Karma is through the ROOF!!! Congrats on the new recliner! How nice that you and Taz have plenty of room to snuggle!

jean- what a nice time at the Hum and Strum and potluck. There is some food additive to make dogs' poop taste bad (doesn't it taste bad already??? but then I would have to give it to all of them. I might need to do that once it gets snowy cuz you know me, I won't go out in the snow which will start World War C (C for Campbell ha!!!!) And I couldn't find my little heater. I *swore* it was in my closet grrr.

Felis- I know what you mean about the year flying by. I did the same yesterday. I had time to scrap but just couldn't get started so I tagged kits instead.
I will continue to send dog kisses and some rats snuggles too. I would send back cat purrs but they have been staying upstairs and away from W! :pound:

good morning my boys (son and DH) both were out by 6:30 as they had early meetings. I got Luther off to doggie day care and now I am enjoying the quiet. Luther was so vocal it just cracks me up. They took him back and you could still hear him as it was taking them a few minutes to get his collar off and new one on so that they could get him into his room and wow is he loud. Love this dog. Made dinner last night and the boys were not thrilled with the it but LOL they ate it all. Cracks me up! Today is just relaxing. Tonight is Star Wars night at the Rock as my Devils play the Columbus Blue Jackets. Will be fun to get back to seeing a hockey game live. No much else going on. Yea!

Chris glad that the bone density went so fast. I like a place that is on time and quick. Congrats on doing so well shopping. It is fun when you find the right things. That is so sad about Brendan car replacement saga. Insurance company interactions are stressful to me. Have fun with the tree and decorating and movie.

Trudy so hope your MG is not too sore today. It is such a shock when you fall down and you never know what hurts until the next day. Good thing he knows about the insurance for your hit and run. That really is a shame.

Rae so glad your shopping karma is spreading to everyone. I love the fact you got a great recliner. That is just amazing! And you and Taz in the chair is so sweet. He must be in heave too!

Jean the pot luck sounds awesome.

Felis I get Luther dog treats. I wish he was a fetch dog but he isn't. He is a please chase me dog. So he get the ball when we throw it but then he wants us to come and get it. I guess that does seem kinda fair that why should he do all the work and I have to do it just stand and throw. He is too smart. For his stocking he loves turkey necks and pull toys and squeaky balls. Glad you got the work. Enjoy.

Have a great day all.

Happy Friday everyone! It is very foggy here again this morning and I actually slept in a bit this morning. I did not get out of my warm and cozy bed until 7:30 :bliss: Hoping to just do a bit of this and that today and just kind of relax a bit before the weekend hits. Lots to accomplish this weekend with getting beds ready and dragging all the Christmas decorations out of the crawl space. I will do a bit of decorating everyday next week. Then next weekend the house will be filled with lots of activity, baby snuggles and kisses! I can't wait!! Poor MG is very stiff and sore and probably should have stayed home today, but he is the only one in his dept. today so it was not possible. He had a long hot bath when he got home yesterday and I think that helped him a bit.

Chris - Wow you had a fabulous day yesterday! How wonderful to find all of your gifts in one great place! Yes Rae's shopping Karma is rubbing off on us all!! Thanks Rae! Glad to hear that W is not peeing in the house anymore and eating poop?? Yuck!! But I think that it is quite common with dogs isn't it? I know Storm used to eat her poop too, not sure what Jason and Jackie did to make her stop, but I could ask them.

Nancy - A lovely quiet day for you today to do what ever you want! Those are the best! How fun that it will be Start Wars Night at your hockey game, it should be a good time! Nice that you can watch live hockey again! DH is happy with his Bruins these days! Have a wonderful day today!

Rae - Well aren't you just the luckiest shopper ever!! What a great deal on your new recliner and such a cute description of you and Taz all cuddled up enjoying the recliner! Your shopping Karma continues! I am the same and really don't want anything for Christmas, so my new rug is gift enough! Hope that your work day isn't too heavy today and you get more of your fabulous scrapping done!

Jean - The christmas Hum and Strum sounded fun and yummy pot luck also! :hungry: Yes DH is a hurting unit today, I did stay home until the sun came out and warmed up the frosty streets. Went to the bulk food store and bought a few fun things there and left without purchasing the one thing that I really needed  Now I need to go back again today :mmph: I even had a list!! I am a scatterbrain sometimes LOL. Having fun with my Christmas painting, it is more of a folk art type of thing, but I will post it when I am finished with it .

Felis - That is good news that you will have work for a few more days this month, it will help out with the paycheque ! Yes I did manage to purchase the Disney Gift Cards and the lady at the cash register was surprised to see that they sold them. She thought that they would be the best gift ever as you can also use them to shop on line at the Disney Store. Hope that you are able to get some scrapping done today and yes you will love the upcoming event that is happening here very soon now.

Ok I am getting my second coffee, had a FaceTime with DD while I was in the middle of typing this post so I am a bit late getting this done. On with my busy day! Gotta go :bolt:

Good morning, ladies. It is cold and slightly less foggy today. I took Taz out for a stroll along the river this morning and we met up with a retriever friend of his. They played for about half an hour. He's napping now, all tired out. I was walking across the frosty ground and slipped, so one leg bend backwards and one leg went out frontwards. One thumb hit the ground and I was able to balance like that with my butt about 1" from the ground. I'm so glad I didn't fall completely onto my back b/c that would have been so messy and since its a dog area there might have been some dog waste in there too. The woman I was chatting with came running over to help me up and thought I had broken my leg, the way I was positioned. Good thing I am double jointed LOL. It helps with flexibiilty. So I'm fine except for a tiny bit of stiffiness. I'll be sure to stretch it out a few times throughout the day. Of course, as I laid there, both dogs were racing around, jumping over me LOL.

Tonight we're going to the xmas light display (over 500,000 lights) so am really looking forward to that. I don't expect to get great photos but I'll bring my DSLR and give Jen my mirrorless so we can both take pics. Work shouldn't be too bad today so I hope to get a LO done later. I want to take lots of candids this month so I can put together an album of December memories, past and present.

Chris - yay for my shopping karma rubbing off on you. Have fun getting the tree up tonight.

Trudy - how nice to sleep in a bit today. Good idea about leisurely putting up the decorations throughout the week. Things will be fun but hectic once your family arrives so don't push yourself too hard this next week.

Nancy - I had to laugh b/c you were describing Taz, he doesn't see the point of bringing a ball back, he loves to run and race but doesn't see the fun in returning with the ball. I have to walk back and forth, getting the ball when I throw it (so I get exercise too LOL). Taz loves squeaky toys but he destroys them fairly quickly so now I just buy them on sale as I know they won't last long. It's his mission to dig into the toy and get the squeaky out and then he flips it all over the house, jumping and tossing it around. Then we find it and throw it out b/c it's my fear someday he will try to swallow it but so far he hasn't, he just wants to dig it out and toss it LOL. Silly dog.

Jean, Felis and everyone else. Hope all is well.

I'm getting more coffee and getting to work now. I'm looking forward to maybe scrapping at lunchtime today if my workload isn't too bad. Should be a great day.

We're going in a few minutes to look for some of the Snowy Owls visiting the area. It is a pretty, sunny day, but cold and windy, so mostly we'll be in the car. (And yes, the book is still progressing.)

Chris, so glad the scan went quickly and G found the stand. Sounds like you are really in great shape on gifts. Why is Scott so hard? Pick a wonderful tree tonight!

Nancy, good luck to the Devils tonight. How fun for a Star Wars theme.

Trudy, it's almost here! Are you counting the days? Bet you know the hour.

Rae, it was scary just reading about your fall. Sure glad it wasn't worse!

Felis, I work well to deadlines, so can appreciate you're liking knowing about more work. Not only good for more income, but makes you plan better. Or it can.

Have a good one!
