TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least I think I am thankful for that. It means that another week flew by, but at least I get to sleep in a bit tomorrow. :decision:

Man, I worked my butt off yesterday. *peeks behind me* Nope, I guess that was figuratively cuz that bunch of flab is still back there. LOL By 3 pm, I knew that if I took a break I was not going to be able to get back up so I kept on moving. I am like a shark hahah!!!!

I made a good start on the baskets, wrapped a bunch of presents and in between Gary being in and out of the kitchen/Living room area, I baked him his Christmas Shortbread. It was much easier in the years when he was working. He has to know that I making them but he kept walking into the kitchen so I threw a tea towel on top of the pan. Then I hid them in my supply closet to cool.

Today I am cleaning a huge house and I haven't been there in a month. Its gonna be a loooog day. But I have my music and headphones-- I think today might be a good "Rent Soundtrack" day.

What good stuff do all of you have going on?
Hope it is a great one, no matter what you do!

Linda S- I really should never, ever complain about being busy. Just reading your schedule wipes me out. Hope you had time to breathe!

Phyllis- haha!! Totally Groundhog Day!
Ick, stay away from the mall!! LOL My best purchase the other day was from this guy at a kiosk. He designs these amazing politically themed t-shirts and screen prints them himself. Between my mom and I, we got three. They are all so cool, symbolic, and represent the Bill of Rights in many ways. Scott is going to LOVE them. he hates anything mass-produced in China, is politically minded and prefers to shop local, so perfect gift for him.
Personally I hate how everything in the malls are all them same too. And expensive. I couldn't get over how much toys cost. SMH!

Trudy-- you are a party animal! LOL Glad that you had such a good time at the dinner and bus ride. Yay!!

I have to post this, catzilla is not gettoing the idea that I don't want her onm y keyboard...

Oh Trudy, that bus ride sounded like such a good time!

And, glad that Chris got the shortbread done! I totally agree with TGIF.

Have to be at the school with the kids at 7:15 this morning because I am volunteering for Holiday Shoppe (used to be Secret Santa). So I have the 7:15 to 8:15 shift. And then I go back for 10:15-12:30 shift. Because of that, I am working from home this afternoon. So that is good...and it allows the kids to walk home from school, even if I am working, I am here.

Need to get some shopping done. And did I tell you that Brian's computer just went kapooey...don't know how to spell it but I know it when I see it. So I've got an HP with Windows 8 being shipped to my house...should be here next week. I'm not sure how well I will like Windows 8 but I am sure that the kids will catch right on.

Got to hit the shower but will definitely find some time to destress here this weekend!

lOve the O!
Morning O fam- I just (yes) finished my workout- didn't get one in yesterday, but no official dance practice this weekend, so I am going to do workouts sat and sunday! I am also going to work like crazy to get ready to have friends over and that means major work. Handgun class last night was very interesting- learned that I am left eyed, thought I was right eyed. Learned from our British instructor (who now lives in USA) that since handguns were made illegal in Britain that handgun crimes have increased dramatically because the bad guys didn't hand theirs in. Anyways the best was my target holes were better placed than MMG cause the gun we used fit my hand better than it fit his. Okay off to work and to finish the grocery shopping that I started yesterday. Have a Fabulous friday or as my old neighbor used to say fay bu lus!

back for a quickie! Don't let Catzilla know!

Hi Linda! Will you ever get to slow down? Good luck with the new computer!

Laurie- my mom is left-yed too- she uses that as her excuse for chopping off/off-centering people in every photo she has ever taken :camera:

Phyllis- it must be that time of year for spiders. Yesterday when I hopped in the shower, i didn't have my contacts in yet and what I thought was a clump of my hair turned out to be a ginormous spider. Freaked me out for sure. I stayed over on the other side of the shower which is funny cuz its only a small corner shower stall to begin with :pound:

Terry hope that your drive wasn't too bad for you. Good choice that you waited a bit. I always hear about the pile=-up in TX from fog. eep.

Nancy- sounds like you are getting lots done.WTG hubby!!!

eye-poppy hugs back to you Sally!!! Were you able to get any decorating done yet? I still don't have lights up outside, at the rate I am going, I am not even going to bother.

P- I emailed with my BFF and she has been feeling the same too. I asked her if she thought that it was mid-life crisis, cuz we are questioning our parenting, our lives, the "rat-race".... who knows? We have our eyes on the prize. January!!!! LOL

Laurie- congrats on the gas card! That was really nice of you to offer to give it to someone else, but even nicer that they ordered one for you to the place where you do go :)

hugs and love to you!!!!

Good morning - my son had two of his wisdom teeth out yesterday and he did great. He was given strong painkillers. He was trying to go without any pain meds but finally he took them and wow I was shocked at what a difference it made. He will be on soft foods for a while. Got a lot of my girlfriend's wedding albums printed. Had to make a quick ink run LOL. As lovely as the pages are online there is something special about seeing them printed.

Trudy your bus trip to the hockey games sounds like so much fun. My son has gotten a group of 7 including my hubby and myself and we are heading north to Albany for hockey on Saturday.

Linda S - you are one busy lady but do take some time for yourself

Laurie my son says the correct gun makes a world of a difference on how well a person connects with the target. Glad you are getting better and more comfortable.

Chris glad your short bread got done and as stealthily as you could.

Everyone enjoy your Friday

Morning "O" peeps!! TGIF!! Another Christmas party to attend tonight, this one is for the District of North Cowichan. At least I will know a few people there, but not expecting it to be as much fun as the other night. I get to dress up a for this one, so that is nice! I love to get dressed up once in a while, I don't get a chance to much anymore.

Chris - You are so sneaky trying to get your shortbread done for your MG! Good idea to make it while you are making your faery goodies to mask the wonderful smell of shortbread! Enjoy your music while you clean today! Just think about how you can sleep in tomorrow and perhaps that will get you through the long work day! to Catzilla

LindaS - How great that you get to work from home! You should do that more often!! Too bad about hubby's computer, hope you like windows 8, I switched to a mac and I love it!!
Good luck with all of your shopping today!

Laurie - You are the workout Queen!! Why do I have a hard time picturing you using a handgun? Guess I just don't get why you all want to own guns?? But mine is not to reason why, mine is to do or die. LOL

Nancy - Wish you could have joined us on our hockey Christmas Party! You would have loved it!!!

NanaLinda - Sorry that your mother is not doing well! It is so sad to see our Mothers that way, we are so used to them being the pillars of strength in our families and it is heart breaking to watch them become frail !  to you sweetie, try to spend every minute you can with your dear mother! My heart goes out to you!!

Terry - I don't have all my shopping done yet either and still not tree up, so don't despair you are not alone! LOL Hopefully this weekend will be a productive one!

Phylis = I know you're out there somewhere! Hope you got to sleep in today!!

Off to the shower and work then home just in time to get all gussied up for the party, hopefully not too late of a night! We have too much to do this weekend!

making a page for most of the morning, waiting for the new AnnaStuff to appear on her store so i can get the forum post done. it's raining, it's pouring, it's gray but it's going to be 50-something degrees today. i have no idea what i'm doing today. probably laundry and a general "red-up," as we call it here in western PA. (that means CLEANING!)

Laurie, how do they tell what "eyed" you are? when i was doing my gun lesson, all i knew was that, in order to actually HIT anything smallish, i'd better have my reading glases on!!

have a great Friday, O-zies. insist that someone so something for YOU, for a change!
