Ye-haw!!!! it is TGIF!!!!!!!
As always in Faery-Land, it is a mix of good news and not so good news. Bad news, my client canceled on me for today. Good news is that I can work on the stuff I need to make for C-mas.
But the best news......

.......drum roll.......

Scott got accepted for the college! We weren't surprised since it is a community college, but what a weight off of his, and our, shoulders. So he is officially in, knows where he is going and that is all good. I finished his Financial Aid app yesterday too and he might be eligible for some grants and Stafford Loans. After the holidays we are going to start to look and see what kinds of scholarships he can apply for.

ergggghh, Catzilla is here. She says hi and purrrrrr and wants me to love on her instead of type.

Morning Chris and the O fam!! WE have winter weather here and most the local schools are closed already. I am sure I will have cancels among my pt- I would not bring a kiddo out in bad weather, so desk cleaning will be in order for me. While I was gone people used my laptop (well company laptop) and my desk and my papers are moved all over and my chair was at a different desk - off to grab some washi tape to label it as I will be off again at Christmas. So excited about the weather - except for the having to drive part. Think I will check my schedule online to see if I have any cancels!!

Laurie, i guess that means that all that stuff is coming my way. damn. well, i hope you're able to reap some benefits from the bad weather. stay safe on the road!!

just raining here, but really COLD. the wood stove is going again. so are the humidifiers. blerg. i don't want ANY of this to be happening. ice later, then snow.

good morning - it is cold damp and raining! yuck but at least it seems the rain will not turn to snow. I have a Devils game so that will be messy - should be fun as they are playing the Detroit Red Wings. Got half of my Christmas cards printed yesterday morning and I will do the other half today and get them in the mail Sat. So that makes me happy. My problem with printing is always which direction to I put the printed side on to get them to open the correct way LOL I messed up 3 cards LOL.

Chris congrats to Scott that is such a relief and to have it done so soon in the year is awesome! Enjoy the day!

Laurie be careful in your winter weather. Desk clearing is always good! Glad you got your chair back.

Phylis hope you don't get an ice storm! And thanks for just sending us rain.

Trudy I love reading about your hummingbirds and I can't imagine why they have not gone south. Silly birds!

Heather I am so glad it is going so well for your son! It sounds like he is hitting all the major tourist stops. So fun to be young!

Morning all... :snow: here for us all day yesterday, so it looks like a winter wonderland!! But we are also having unusually cold temps for here on the West Coast!! With the wind it feels like -15, really cold for here! I hope my poor little hummingbirds survived the night!

Chris - Yahoooo!! For Scott, what a relief for all of you!! So good to know that he has what he wants and knows what he wants!! Give Catzilla a hug from me!! I miss my Mr. Abu!! Hope you succeed in getting your C-mas chores done today!!

Laurie - Perhaps you will get to leave work early today?? Please drive carefully and hope you get your desk put back in order!!

Phylis - I will trade the rain you are having today for the cold and snow that we have!! It is supposed to stay like this all week!! Heat pump is having a hard time keeping up, so the fireplace is helping out today! I enjoyed the Polar Express, but ya it was kinda creepy the way the characters looked, but I did like the story. I think I am going to try to make some cards later this week and hopefully get my painting project done also. Stuck at home again today as hubby has taken the van to work and no snow tires on the truck. :mmph:

Nancy -Good for you for getting your cards done today! Wish I had the motivation to work on mine!! I usually do a Christmas letter to everyone and I am not in the mood to even get started on it! Hope your Devils do well today, hubby's Bruins had another disappointing loss to the Canadians !! Darn those Habs!!! Enjoy your day!

Yeah- I did get to leave work early today!! That makes me very happy. My husband is on his way home so I will do a little clean up before he gets here. I was scrapping yesterday and left the house a mess-I did the important stuff!
