TGIF!!! Oh boy oh boy do I need a break! I think Sally and I are running around like chickens with our heads cut off. Actually Sally is the chicken and I am a chupacabra. LOL

Too much stuff going on- I have a list of things to do and I can't seem to get a handle on any of it. But at the same time I am busy non-stop. How is that possible??

Today I am off to my annual C-m,as Shopping trip with my bro. Then we are coming back here, ordering pizza and watching a Christmas Story. I looooove that movie!!!! It is going to be a bit harder this year, not really in the C-mas spirit. but maybe this will help.

Personals:

Jaime- eeep! Sounds like you had a day like I have! That must be so hard with your mom. Its seems like it is is a lose-lose situation. Good luck with your decision. That is so scary about the gas leak. Crazy!! A few years ago, I was babysitting for my freinds. They had a 10 month old and a 22 month old. And I had Cait with me who was 8. I am trying to get the little ones to bed, with very little luck, when I see flashing lights outside. There were fire trucks, ambulance, police cars all up and down the street. I have a screaming baby in my arms, the a toddler crying b/c her brother is crying and Caitlyn asking me whatsgoingonwhatsgoingonwhatsgoingon. I am freaking out thinking how the heck am I going to get these kids out of the house safely??? No car seats.... ack!
Thankfully, it was just a false fire alarm at the house next door. but talk about confusion!!!

Sal- what a wonderful way to get up!!!! That would just make my day! You do have wonderful kids, and they are so blessed to have you as a mom. Yay for YMG coming home!
Peace??? hahahahahahhaahh *gasps* hahahah aha hahha a.....

Linda W- no surprise that you need a nap. I am soooooo happy that Savannah is ok!!!

Elisa- glad to hear you didn't get sick. I haven't scrapped a page or been in the gallery in days. I miss it, but cannot seem to find the time. :( Hope you got some good mojo! Nah- cleaning can wait....

Andrea- feel better!!!!! get to the dr!!! I saw your lo about Genny - (((((((((hugs)))))) You are doing great, and she'll thrive with your love!!

Clara- that had to be the shortest post from you *ever* :D

Leslie- I got your order--TY!!!!!!
And half-marathon, full marathon- either way, that is totally awesome. Poor baby- "Fat Boy." Don't let him hear you say that!!
teehee!! I can so relate about the dh's.... mine is always here too and there are some days I just want the house to myself.

Hope you all have a FABulous Friday!!!

xoxoxo

morning everyone!!! last night i brought some friends home to watch a movie and we watched Miracle on 34th St. I don't think we started the movie until 11pm...and after the movie i told them to just stay the night!! so my friend and i stayed up until 4am fixing the world's problems!!

This morning everyone woke up to it POURING icy rain that looks like SNOW!!!! Check it out at weather.com!!! we are snowing!!!!! amazing...so the kids were all outside!! I'm praying that they don't catch pneumonia!!! Can I just say i hate how a camera can't capture the fun look of snowy rain falling???? Anyway, it's amazing and i'll be snapping pics of my kids looking out the window!! LOL!!!The funny thing is that i haven't been really drawn to any "snowy" digi kits lately since we live in houston, but today..I'll be buying up a snowstorm of them!! Pardon the pUn!!!

one other quick aside....Mr Gorgeous is in the air right now (over Utah)...please pray with me that he gets home safe and sound!!! Houston drivers FREAK OUT in crazy weather...I'll probably stay inside most of the day! But we are an hour away from the airport, so I need him to stay safe!!! :)

Chris, love you babe!! my chupacabra friend!!! :) Enjoy your day today...you KNOW that movie will be just what you need!!! All I can think of is that Leg Lamp!! bwahahahahahah!!! :) hugs!

To everyone else, love you from down here in snowy Houston!!! :)

Is it time to go home yet? At least it is Friday! Things are finally normal around here so I'm trying to enjoy my drama-free day. I spoiled myself by ordering lunch in and spending my lunch hour bidding on Ebay for accessories to go with the Zhu Zhu hamsters that are on their way. I'm looking forward to some scrap time tonight and then maybe I'll finally get to watch my movie. :)

Sally - Please send some of that my way! I'm itching for a good snowstorm to come through. We have flurries in our forecast, but I can't sled with just flurries.

Chris - Hope you're having a great day out shopping! I'm thinking of taking a vacation day on Monday to go myself. A Christmas Story was (and still is) a favorite around our house.

Hi, everyone!! I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm getting off early today from work (about 5-ish), to pick up some Chinese food for me, DH and my mom. My mom is coming over to watch "Up" which we just got from Netflix. I can't wait...

Chris - I am glad you got the order! I'm sure Fat Boy will enjoy getting it when it comes in - I got the paw salve for him since he will need some after all our morning walks, especially once the snow starts falling and they start putting salt on the roads. He doesn't care what we call him - he's not the brightest dog - heck, he even comes to you when you call the other dog's name, LOL! I still love him....

Sally - I can't believe you guys had snowy rain down there! I don't think we ever got that when we lived down there. I remember one winter where I don't think it got below 60 the entire time. My parents loved visiting me for Christmas that year and going to Moody Gardens in T-shirts. But I sure hope Mr. Gorgeous gets home safely and timely - you're right that they get a bit crazy when the bad weather hits there, closing everything down. I remember when I lived in Austin and they closed the highways down when there was a little ice (I wasn't aware that they had done so and being from New England drove on it anyways and was lucky enough not to get pulled over - I was kind of wondering why I didn't see any other cars on the road).

I have one word for everyone - FraGeeLay! Yes I love A Christmas Story too - I lent my copy of it to my local yarn store for their movie & afghan night. OK - I leave with another word - Fa-udge!!!!

So this morning I had to get up early to go to the Operation Homefront Toy "sale." By "sale," what I really mean is a warehouse of toys for free. It was insane. You had to register in advance, of course, and your spouse had to be deployed and with a rank of e6 or below (that's a Staff Sergeant, or the equivalent of... like, a shift manager to civilians...sort of. Oh and you had to have children between 1 and 10. We were told in advance that the toys were donated by "a major retailer." Well, it was Walmart. And I have never been a huge fan of Walmart, I mean I shop there, but... you know. Anyway, this was awesome, humbling, fabulous. We got one big toy and two smaller toys for each child. The big toys I got, one of them was the Fisher Price little people talking farm, so it was good stuff! For the older girls they had EZ Bake ovens, I mean, it was the good stuff. Also for Gen I got the Dora talking backpack. She loves... backpacks. Thought I was going to say Dora, right? LOL. I got Atha three barbies, but I'd already bought her a COMPUTER (a cheap, refurbished one off Dell auctions, but still, she's 4 1/2 and she has her own computer) and I don't want to spoil her, so I think I'm going to save the barbies for her birthday in Feb.

Short story Long, it was a blessing, and I am super humbled. Great stuff.

What was less than positive about it was that I signed up for the first session, which was at 9. If you have heard me complain before, you know that Gen has a problem sleeping. By which I mean that she doesn't. She will fall asleep and be out for a couple of hours, and then wake up and toss and turn for 3-4 hours, then she'll be out again for awhile. And while she's up tossing and turning, it's best for her to be in my bed, or she's liable to get up and then she'll be up for the day. Anyway, it works out usually because we get that sleep at the beginning and the end of the night. But last night I only got the first half, ie 3 hours. So I'm a bit loopy.

I think I'll do personals in seperate posts.

Leslie- how did you like Up? Did you cry uncontrollably? My son is a real softie, and he called me to warn me not to let his little sisters see it, because it's too sad. He said it made HIM cry when.. well at the end of the beginning part, if you know what I mean. And at the very end. Anyway, I liked it a lot, and I did watch it with the girls, but they not only didn't get sad, but they didn't particularly like it. I think they are too young.

Ah, Austin. Vince and I have talked about relocating there when he gets out of the Army. We like it that they "keep it weird" there. LOL

Hope your Chinese food was yummy!

Jaime- what is it with the Zhu Zhu hamsters? Are they super fun? They're cute and all, but I have never seen one "in person," and I don't think I've ever seen any ads for them. I'm sure if we had, Atha would want one. LOL.

Hope you get to watch your movie!

Sally! ICE AND SNOW! Wow! It's the same here with the weather. I remember the first time we were here and there was ice on the road.. now I was from the west coast, and had not ever driven in the ice so I was just like everybody else. LOL. They CLOSED THE ARMY POST! Cars were spinning out all over the place. Now, when we were in Germany and then Kansas, it was much worse than that all winter long.

Hope Mr. Gorgeous got in okay!

Hey, Chris! Thanks for the hugs, and comin' back atcha! Hope you get a great break over the weekend, and enjoy some cocoa and your movie.

Hey, so what do you use to melt the wax tarts? Because if I can find a way to melt those, I want a bunch for the downstairs bathroom! Also, I was looking at the shea butters, and my son has a bad problem with his feet, they crack and really hurt him. What would you reccommend? Tea tree oil?

ohhh just a quick update...Mr Gorgeous got home safely and everything was cancelled for tonight (ice and all!!), so we are almost all safely tucked inside. Cora is still out shopping with her aunt and cousins. a dream for her, but we are a bit worried for them. Mr Gorgeous wouldn't let his bff take lillian to the new disney frog and prince movie because of all of the crazy drivers.

we took a LONG nap this afternoon!!! so we'll probably be up all night...but as long as we are all together, i'm fine with it!!

did i mention that i LOVE winter???

Andrea, sooooo fun about the toys!!! you guys sooooo deserve it!!! We appreciate your family for your sacrifices for the freedom of our country!! hugs, babe!! and that loopy thing?? I was until I took my three hour nap...ohhh make it 4!! I can't believe i was asleep that long!! wow!!

Leslie!! I know, aren't texas drivers crazy when the winter freaks out??? I posted fun snow pics on my FB acct and all of my Nebraska friends laughed at me. But it's not often we get snow like that...I can't remember snow that hard and fast ever since I moved down here from North Dakota 34 years ago!! wow! :) btw, I LOVED LOVED LOVED UP!!! its fabulous!!

Jamie, ohhh I hope you continued to have a drama free day today!! enjoy your evening scrapping away, hun!! :)
