Woo hooo!!Today os the last day of finals for the kids. it will be nice having them around a bit for the next few weeks although break always goes by so fast.

I am feeling better today than I was yesterday. I ended telling Cait about my dream. I wanted to be honest and upfront and restated that I will always support her. It was, um, shall we say interesting... as I was helping her study for her Psychology of Love and Sexuality final this morning with the topic of relationship conflict and repair. I was laughing and saying that I was doing my best to bite my tongue and not editorialize. That was easier than my trying to hide my feelings and she understands where I am coming from.

Today will be a busy one. I am planning on cleaning the kitchen and Living room a bit and will bake Gary's shortbreads even though he is home. Not like I have a choice and any time I have tried to make them in the past I would have to hide them in my closet to cool. :p
This weekend is the big one for Cait and me to bake. I will have to remind myself to take the butter out of the fridge as soon as I wake up so Caitlyn doesn't have to stick it in her waistband like she did a couple of years ago..

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!

Felis- that song has a good beat!

Trudy- Not a good time to be without power for so long but thankfully it wasn't too cold and the fireplace was enough to keep you warm. How many people are you having for Christmas??? Ham and turkey-- you are going to be cooking and eating for weeks :D
Thank you for the support for me and my kids.

Kay- isn't is sad when 6.30 is considered an amazing "sleeping in?" haha!!! I made it until 4.45 this morning and that was fantastic. The window plastic makes such a difference with the cold air. I still have 1-2 more to do here but the drapes are good enough for now. Hard to climb on things with the boot.
I am such a proud mama. Like no idea how my heart is bursting for both kids. TY for letting me share that.
How is the foot today? You are reminding me that I need to run some errands and get gas today too. pfft

Nancy- so smart of you to not head out on the squall. That was bonkers! Did you see any of the pics on the news of NYC? It was wild how it was enveloping the buildings.
Is DS feeling better, hope it is just a simple cold.

Rae- I need to get in the habit of breathing. (hehe, I know that sounds strange, doesn't it?) My FitBit has that feature on it and used it when I first got it. But like with most things, I ignore and forget about it. It does make such a difference when I focus on it.
Good luck getting everything done that you need to do so you can enjoy the rest of the month!

Kay- Oh no!!! Thank goodness that the bins caught most of the water. What a disaster that might have been.

Felis- get back to bed, you silly girl! Why are you up at 3 am? LOL
Your Christmas plans sound wonderful- I hope that you get to do that exactly as you want.
The first YouTube link didn't work but the second one did so I was able to listen to the song. Definitely an "I got this" mood. :)

Jean- great job with your 52 Project- you are getting there. It is so good to have Rae back- her advice is always so helpful to keep things in perspective. Even if I am not successful with it myself.
Cold and sunny here, and the sun at least helps make everything look pretty outside. After tomorrow the days get longer!!! Yay!!!
:lalala: Not listening to you about Caitlyn being smart not being insurance... Nope. :D
I know you are speaking from experience. And you are right, she is a rescuer. All I can do is support and not influence and not stress. (So, how am I doing?)

Yea... another day of sleeping in until 6:15!!! LOL Yes, Chris, it is sad that I feel like that is 'sleeping in'. But since I usually fall asleep between 9 or 10 PM, that means I am getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep so shouldn't complain too loudly.

DD#1 dropped over yesterday afternoon to bring me a sweet surprise. She saw this Christmas bouquet and thought I should have it to brighten up my spirits.

I was telling her that I was pretty sure the leaking under the sink was coming from the 'U' joint when the dishwasher ran. SiL happen to call right after I said that. When DD told him what I said, he said that there were 2 O-ring seals on the U-joint that he didn't replace. He will replace them and that should take care of the problem.

Guess I was up on my feet abit too long on Wed so tried to stay off of it more yesterday. Ended up sitting most of the afternoon. I have a page I want to work on but needed a personal photo of a winter scene. That started me looking through the boxes of photos for a trip that mom, Bill and I took. Ended up finding a bunch of photos that I want to scan into the computer. Discovered that some of the photos I thought had been taken at Bryce Canyon National Park were actually taken in Zion National Park. We did a 3 day trip that included both parks- so not surprised I got confused on where they were taken. Now I have dozens more photos to scan in. LOL The wonderful part was I found more photos of Bill that I had forgotten about... So I have a bunch of photo envelopes sitting on the desk waiting for me to scan them. One of my designers would like us to use personal photos rather than stock photos... so I need to have more photos to work with.

Chris, I was LOLROTF over the pic of Cait with the butter sticks tucked into her waist to soften it!!! Never thought of doing that. Brrr... bet those were cold when she tucked them in. Very creative solution to the problem.

Coffee cup is empty so going to get another cup, get dressed then work on scanning some of the photos. CYL

It is sunny again and supposed to get above freezing, maybe this kind of weather through Christmas, so I'll like that. Odds and ends of things to do today so I'm not well focused.

Felis, I didn't notice new links to the video, so now I did see it. I'm afraid I'm too old school for that sound to be comfortable, but the lyrics do seem right for the discussion you had. I'd like to share links to two songs from the Traveling Wilburys that sure make me feel good:

Chris, yay that the kids will be out of school and helping you get in the holiday spirit and get the butter warmed up first. I remember when you first posted that photo. It is even funnier now. All you can do is hope for the best.

Kay, getting up at that hour doesn't sound early when you go to bed that early. Not my kind of hours. Good that SiL thinks it'll be an easy fix. What a thoughtful DD to bring those lovely flowers. Certainly brightens this space.

Have a good one!

Good morning ladies. The Xmas countdown starts today for me. I have a ton of stuff to do and have to be sure to get some done each day. We'll do a big grocery shop tonight after dinner. I need to check recipes today to make sure everything I need is on my list. I will go thru all the gifts tomorrow and figure out what I still need to get. Then I will start wrapping.

Started reading a Nora Roberts Xmas cozy story which is perfect for this time of year, an easy read, a short book and I have another one ready to read after that. I like "food good" kind of Xmas books at this time of year. I like to finish up my year of reading with something lighthearted and positive.

Chris - that's too funny about the butter, I couldn't do it....too cold and uncomfortable. Have fun baking. J, B and I are doing ours on Sunday. I might do a bit tomorrow night so Sunday isn't so rushed to get it all done.

Kay - how thoughtful of your daughter, its a lovely bouquet.

Jean - we're not going to have freezing temps here either. Its been in the 40's and I think it'll stay there for the next few wks. No snow or freezing weather forecasted for us anytime soon.

I'm getting to work now. Have a great day everyone.

'Hi lOvelies!
I must this very quick and go to the shower, because early tomorrow we have vet apt, for last vaccination to one of the kittens. Maybe you remembered that I was murmuring in November that this will happen when they messed up my days for appointments. The danger part is that in the holidays the clinic not work and if he show some negative reaction will have to travel to emergency cabinet! Keep your fingers crossed everything to went trouble free, please!

Oh, Jean, you are so sweet! You aren't old school, at all! My sister also didn't like TLSP sound and like them more as single artists. But I knew Chris, needs exactly this lyric right now in her life. I'm not sure did british accent hinder, because I'm most familiar with it.
Thank you so much for sharing these songs, I love them, especially the first one's lyric! I like a lot Bob Dylan, but wasn't heard the band before. :music:
I'm in love with your new 52 page, and especially with this owl pic!!! As a massive Harry Potter fan I just adore owls!

Rae, you are amazing,in this busy schedule to find time for reading is true achievement!

Kay, this Christmas bouquet is soo adorable! To find these past recollection photos must be like warm hug?!

Chris, Good luck on the kids on the finals! And get fun on your baking weekend! I know you have much to discuss and laugh!

Hey girls, I highly recommend you this movie "How to Be a Latin Lover", I laugh a lot on it yesterday, and Veronica Mars' character have 15 cats and she's funny crazy lady, without to be psycho !
Oh, and also this lady Dominique, which I'm follow on Instagram from a long time, makes giveaway for christmas, check it! https://www.instagram.com/p/B6QP68NnJWv/
