Oh I am finally feeling like I found some Christmas Spirit! The forum looks amazing with the Smile/Holiday avatars. Buddy has been busy too, with two Advent activities posted and both so fun!
I am actually feeling somewhat grounded as well. Best I have felt in a while. *knocks wood to keep it that way*
Yesterday, I scrubbed the stairs and got rid of all of the coffee spills. I asked the kids to *please* be careful and not spill any before Sunday. Scott just laughed and laughed at that one. I ignore that for the most part (the coffee spills, not the kids, although perhaps I need to do that too hehe!), but the stairs are right as you open the front door so people coming into the house have no choice but to see them. I also washed the wineglasses and scrubbed the hard water stains out of the sink. The upside to all of this is that I won't have to do it before the family comes here on Christmas Day. Whee!!!!!
The dogs were hysterical yesterday. When Cait got home from school, she took out the birthday cake for Ray. Jaida comes racing into the kitchen, sits in front of her and starts barking before we started to sing Happy Birthday. They loved the cake too. We gave Ravyn her stuffed toy, it was just a small one from the dollar store and she unwrapped it, took off, whacked J when she tried to take it and de-stuffed in in less than 10 minutes. Then she let J take an end and tugged. upkiss:
We watched the Grinch and Spongebob's Christmas together. The Spongebob Christmas song and when he waves his arms around cracks me up every darn time. That makes my kids laugh at me and it is all good.
Reminder to self: Laughter and family= All Good!!!!
Today will be the fun part of the Open House, I get to be creative in setting everything up. It will take me a while to rearrange everything they way I like, but I will be getting baskets and ribbons and everything together so all I have to do tomorrow is relax. And make some $$???? I hope so!
:hug:Hoping that all of you have a wonderful day:hug:
