owowowowowww... I am stiff and sore this morning. We got a decent amount of snow and it was heavy. I didn't measure it but it was definitely in the 15-18" range. I was out shoveling for over an hour and Scott and Gary had to be out for over 2 hours each. We only have a small driveway that fits 4 cars if we squeeze in tight. I don't like snow. In case you forgot- I haven't said it since last February. The local news said that NYC got more snow yesterday than all of last season. I wonder if that is true up here too.
I was laughing at dinner that after being cooped up in the house for so many months, it felt "good" to be in the "fresh" air. You know I am getting stir-crazy when I am happy(ish) to be out shoveling snow. ound:
The pups had a really fun time running around in it. Even Ray did a little hop through it. We shoveled out a spot for her on the lawn but she wanted to go to "her" spot which surprised us when she got through it ok and looked happy at the same time.
Caitlyn finished another paper and now has 1 big paper and 1 short paper to go, both are due on Monday. The 2-3 page paper she can pretty much write in her sleep and the other one she has been working on for a few weeks. She also has--- *proud mama moment* -- to write an essay for a scholarship that she was nominated for by one of her professors!! She didn't get the one that she was nominated for last year but the fact that her professors think highly of her makes her thrilled. She also heard that she is in consideration for a paid internship over the summer to work with a team on Student Orientation in the fall. *fingers crossed*
Scott turned down a job interview for today. I know that he struggled with it but it was going to be doing outdoor maintenance work at the fish hatchery where my dad volunteers. The work was not the issue, the distance and pay were. $13/hour for two months of work and it would take him almost an hour and 20 minutes to get there (assuming no NJ traffic ). He was disappointed, but he applied for a couple of other jobs hoping that things will be better in the spring. *more fingers crossed*
Other than shoveling, I spent about 2 hours wrapping gifts. My dogs were excited by the wrapping paper. They sat at my feet until I balled up the scraps and threw it at them. They tore off with them and then came back for more LOL
Today I need to run to the FP, they are handing out Christmas Dinner bags- no turkey again for me but I will be happy to get some of the sides. I don't think I am ready to finish wrapping. I still have a few things I need to finish making.
Maybe *fingers and toes crossed* I will have time to scrap later on???
HAGD!! xoxo
