helllooooO and happy Friday to all of you!
It is 7.30 am, 14*F, and I have been outside with the dogs twice already and W only wanted to eat snow both times. Gary did have them out at 6, and she went then but darn it, I really don't like being out there in the cold. It is so hard to tell when she really needs to go outside or wants attention or only wants the snow.

Yesterday was good, I think. My mom came up and I helped her order some things online for the kids. She does not get the concept of links at all. Or different websites. I think she believes that you can get anything at all on Amazon. Or that a single word can give me enough information to find the item. But aside from groaning a bit, we got it done and she understood and accepted my frustrations.

Then we went out to Marshalls and I went to the Dollar Store and I am getting close to being all done. I still have a couple of things to get from Amazon and I still haven't gotten confirmation about going to the Animal Sanctuary this morning so I will have to order something for Leah from the Animal Rescue Site through TheGreaterGood.com

Today, I might try to get some wrapping done so I can figure out where and who I am missing or light on gifts. Tomorrow is the big baking day so I also need to get the kitchen ready for that.

There is also so much goodness happening in the 12 Days party that I can't keep up with that either.

But see-- all good things. :clap2::dance:

Have a fantastic day, everyone!

I am sorry that these have to be quick but I hope to be able to get back here later too-

Nancy- haha!! Glad that DH and Luther were ok and no one had fallen.
I am so jealous that your friend's DD might get to an Elephant Sanctuary! That would be amazing!

Sharon- Guess that is a good sign that a dog needs to go out! How is your dog with the heartworm Treatment? Better?

Trudy- what a hike! 5 hours is really long, I would have passed out! How are you feeling today, not too stiff? How is the weather looking for the flight?

Rae- it will be nice to have a lighter workload! I still haven't gotten to make an appt with the hair salon. I want to go in and have them see my hair before I make the appt. We have really hard/iron in the water and not only are my ends fried, they turn rusty from the build-up. The avi is adorable and you are really lucky to be able to go that short. Curly hair is not that forgiving.
Hope DH is feeling better- the last thing you need is a sick man on vacation LOL

Jean- I am jealous of your temps! I don't think we got out of the teens yesterday. Good catch on the endnote- always a good thing to have a fresh set of eyes. Is the book all ready to go to print? Exciting!!

Hugs to all of you, xoxoxo!!!!

Goooood morning girls,
the day at capitol was so nice. Totally opposite of the previous time. It was planned for Friday, but then the driver change his schedule and the only possibility was to go spontaneous. I don't like that, but we don't have another chance. We gone to the annual winter book sale, and I got one book from my list and two spontaneous choices on a half price of the first book, so it totally cover the daily expenses. We decided to walk, morning was foggy but the day unusual warm for winter, so we don't lost and no argued this time :D . I finally take a pics of the Memorial Lion, on my computer they aren't so good like looked on the cellphone, but will turn perfect for the b&w challenge this month. I took pic for another challenge too, and the walk give me few more ideas for scrap, but I'll do that after Christmas, now I'm focused on the 12 Days and so backward with the weekly project. We visited our favorite Vegan restaurant and after that the Christmas bazaar, which was too small, but still fun with many people in festive mood. Today the double cleaning expect me. I want to read a little, but no chance before Christmas.

Oh, Chris, here is so warm I wish we could exchange! This mud is so awful! I want my snow!
So great that you have good time with your mom. ''Or that a single word can give me enough information to find the item.'', oh, my mom is absolutely the same. I'm still not start with wrapping, because we put most of the things in presents bags, but have to do it for one which will be in box.

Jean, congrats on finishing the book! You really knows how to create gifts that matter!

Rae, love your new avi, great photo and your new hairstyle is so cool! Hope your husband is feeling better! You deserve one calm Christmas after all this work! Hugs, and so sorry for your loss! I strongly hope the picture that you described is true and they waiting us somewhere up! Condolences!

Trudy, your hiking story sounds lovely and is great that you finally have succeeded just to stops and stares for a while. Hey keep calm and don't put too much stress on yourself today, please! The important is that you all will be together, is not necessary all to be so perfect organize.

Sharon, hope the things with your dad coming festive and not much difficult! Life always is one idea better when you wake up near to a dog!

Nancy, arghhh, I want snow too, here my dogs become so muddy and I received muddy hugs :) ! The elephant sanctuary must be something really cool, indeed.

Wish a lovely Friday to you all! :cofbath:

good morning - my Devils lost in OT but I am ok with that as I said yesterday we have a lot of our great vet out injured. Tonight they play at home against the Dallas Stars. Should be a hard game. Luther is at doggie day care today so he will be tired and rest while I am at the game. It is cloudy and cold 19 degrees. today is getting some scrapping done and clean and a bit of laundry. As far as Christmas goes we are taking family on a cruise to Alaska this summer so that is their gift. So I am going to get them gift cards to EMS so if there is something they need for the trip outdoors wise they can get it there.

Chris glad you are able to help you mom shop online. I guess that for those that never are online it can be a bit confusing. A one word clue to find the right gift sounds like a fun game to play with your mom LOL. Glad you are patient. Glad you have so much ready for Christmas.

Trudy wow a 5 hrs hike. How many miles or kilometers was that hike. Glad that you let all the worries go and just enjoyed the hike. Enjoy today and getting everything ready for the big arrival. I will keep my fingers crossed on weather.

Rae love the new hairstyle and avi. How nice of her to fit you in. Good luck with all the work. Hope your hubby is feeling better.

Sharon so funny when a big dog stands on you. Have fun with all your pets.

Jean that is good that the error was caught. It really is awesome that the you finished it. I am so impressed.

Felis congrats on the trip to the capitol. Sounds like you made some great purchases. And so glad you got the photos you were hoping for. And yes I love snow but not rain. I am like you and really don't like muddy dog hugs. We have a mud room where we try and dry Luther off as much as possible and remove the mud.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... yikes one more sleep and the house will be full! So mild here this morning and it will be a big change for Heather and family as it has been very cold and lots of snow for them. DD will be disappointed that it will not be a white Christmas, but hey you never know we have had it snow on Christmas Eve before. Did I tell you all that my son and family will be coming down here one day earlier than first thought? We are so happy that we will all be together for a bit longer and the cousins can spend one more day together! :bliss:

Chris - Sorry that you are so cold and that the dogs are making you stay outside in the cold! Hopefully W gets over this wanting to eat snow thing soon! Actually I was more stiff from raking the entire back yard a few days ago and the hike helped with the stiffness a lot! I hope you are able to spend some time here, I have not and it really bothers me that I can't participate more!

Felis - How wonderful that your trip to the Capital was much more enjoyable than your last one! Seems you had a good day of shopping and hopefully it has put you in that Christmas Spirit! My wish for you today is to have lots of snow so you don't have to deal with muddy paws anymore!

Nancy - We watched some of your game last night, too bad that your Devils lost, but like you said so many of your players are out with injuries. Hopefully they will recover soon! Good luck with the game tonight! A cruise to Alaska for Christmas gifts is so wonderful! I am jealous as I have always wanted to do this Cruise. But hey I am going to Paris this summer, so I really can't complain can I :becky: Have fun today with the 12 Days of Christmas, I apologize if I do not get a chance to comment on your wonderful pages, I have not been a very good CheeryO lately. Our hike was long, but really only around 10K, it just took longer because of all the uphill and then we would have to wait for some to catch up. Then all the viewpoints were enjoyed for part of that too, so much talking and little rests LOL. We always say that we are a group of talkers that just happen to enjoy hiking.

Rae - OMG I just love that new haircut and your AVI! You look great girl! Hope your workload is not too much today! Have some fun at the 12 Days and again I am sorry if I do not get a chance to comment on any pages today or in the coming days :sorry:

Jean - How nice that you are done the book and that the group at the senior group got to see the photo! Hope that your don't get anymore snowy cold weather today! Yes it will be hard to sleep tonight because of the excitement! Have a lovely day today!

Today I pick up a walker for my DD we have one downstairs already but with two levels to our home she needs one for upstairs too. Then off to get groceries AGAIN!! It never ends. Have a lovely day my friends!

It got pretty cold last night but back up in the 20s now. I'm so happy with what's happening with the book. It will be in a hard cover with a reduced copy of the title page on the front. I think the price will be very reasonable, just over $15/book before tax. Hopefully they'll be done Monday with just enough time to mail them for Christmas. I did a lot of smiling yesterday! It is only 55 pages long and some of those are just photos, but I think (hope) it will be something special for DH and his family.

Chris, it is sounding like you're really beginning to relax into the holiday spirit, but wish you weren't so cold. you're also seeing the mud complaints here and you don't have that worry. Now if W would just quit with eating snow! DH and I spend so much time on the computer that it is hard to imagine those like your mom who don't know how to navigate there. DH spent 10 years assisting in the computer room at the senior center, but eventually "retired" from it as so few people came in needing help - a big change over those years.

Felis, hurray for the trip to the capital! Glad you got the pix and good shopping with the books. Wish I could give you a bit of our snow. I'll be wishing it were warm (but not muddy!) tomorrow when we spend the day out doing our Christmas Bird Count. The 12 Day of Christmas here at the O is really fun and love seeing your pages there.

Nancy, good you have a nice attitude on the hockey game. At least they kept it close and got a point from the OT. That Alaska cruise will be wonderful! What a great Christmas present.

Trudy, wow, the excitement continues to build. And there you go grocery shopping again! Bet you'll be doing more when the family is there. You can't be everywhere at once, so we know why you won't be much at the O for a while. You'll be one busy bee as it is. But a happy one!!

Rae, the haircut and new avi are wonderful. Don't you look super! Hope D is better and all is well.

Sharon, know you're also very busy, hope it's going great.

Good morning, ladies. I've had a busy morning with desk work, writing out my list of errands and groceries to get and checking pinterest for one more cookie recipe to try out. The next few days are going to fly by. I need to run errands this afternoon, get car insurance renewed, get a bottle of wine for a gift tomorrow when we go to a Xmas party and will take Taz to the pet store for food and treats. Sunday, Jen is coming so we can spend the afternoon baking. After that if its not raining we'll pop over to see the Xmas train that has its final stop here in Poco (where we live). It travels each Xmas from Quebec to Vancouver (Poco, short for Port Coquitlam, the suburb outside of Vancouver where we live). It travels for 3 wks, all lit up and a band plays Xmas music when it stops at a station. We've never seen it before so hopefully we get to see it on Sunday.

BTW....D is feeling fine now, no cold/virus...good thing. No sickness is allowed in this house right now :)

Thx for all the lovely comments about my new haircut and avi. I was nervous about chopping so much hair off but I really love it and plan to keep it shorter like this. Looks like I'll be visiting the hairdresser more often than I was before, as it'll need to be shaped every 6 wks or so.

Chris - W will probably outgrow eating the snow after this year. That's a puppy thing, isn't it? Glad you had a good day with your mom.

Trudy - almost family time!!!! How exciting for you.

Felis - glad this trip was much better and you got the photo you wanted. How great to find the books too.

Nancy - totally worth it to scale back on Xmas as you are all going on the Alaska cruise. I still think about our trip 2 yrs ago, it was wonderful.

Jean - how great it is that you got a good price for the photo books.

I'm heading out to run some errands now. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
