Happy Friday!!!
In spite of the weather messing up my plans, I feel like I accomplished a lot yesterday. (ignore the load of laundry that has been sitting in the dryer for 2 days!)I finished Arlene's gift and I honestly love it! That is a first.

20181213_150131

I know that it is hard to see against all of the other knick-knacks but at least you have an idea. Scott said that she is going to love it too.

I also worked a bit more on the centerpieces I am making for my BFF- added some glitter and ribbons. Next, I need to have Gary cut out a J and Y (using a snowflake for the O) from wood and then I should be almost done with hers. I still need to make the cork wreath for my SIL, but all of the Pinterest instructions say that should be done in an hour or so. Even if I turn that into several hours, it is def. doable.

I don't know how it happened, but W managed to get glitter all of her face and back. It is a super fine glitter but if you looked at her in the light, she sparkled everywhere. LOL
I also baked two trays of Magic Bars and one tray of Pecan Pie Bars.

And... I started to scrap a page for the 2nd Day Challenge. Then I realized it was my turn to do the Gallery Spotlight for the HAPS and needed to work on that instead. I am glad that I remembered. Maybe I can work a bit more on the LO later today.

Little Cordelia seems to be very friendly which I would have thought that she would be more skittish. She is the one who had the surgery to remove abscesses and ended up having a tiny bit of her spleen removed b/c of the abscess. But nope, that one is a mover and a shaker! Caitlyn had the three of them on her bed for a while as she was studying and they scamper! Poor Muffin and Clover waddled at the end, they couldn't do much more because of the size of their tumors. But these little babies- so fast, zipping around the bed and under the covers and climbing inside the pillowcases. Really fun to watch. Cait has that rollercoaster of emotions. She is so happy to have them and loves them already. But they also make her miss her other girls too. She had such a strong bond with Muffin and Clovie-- and it is only been 4 days with these girls so the bond isn't there yet. She knows it will build but at this moment, it is obvious to her that it isn't yet the same. It is never easy, is it?

Today I am off to do the shopping that I needed to do yesterday. My neighbor asked me to make up one additional basket for her so I have to keep my eyes open for that as well.

love, hugs, peace, and joy!

Kay- you don't seem to get a break with sleeping, do you? Hope that winds died down and that the garbage didn't blow away. Congrats on finishing all of the challenges. :high5: How are your shoulder and muscles today?
Last summer I went through a period of having jaw/neck/shoulder/chest pain and after passing it off as nothing a bunch of times, Gary got worried and made me go to the Dr. I was fine but need to go for a crazy amount of tests. LLMD thinks that I was reinfected with Lyme and it was causing muscle spasms/heart issues. But afterward- the incidents freaked me out. Guess now I project all of my worries onto everyone else LOL
That is fascinating that PSE has Quick and Expert screens. I tend to forget that not everyone knows PS and a Quick/Beginners option would be helpful. You are obviously well above expert!

Trudy- the hot tub soak after being wet and cold from the hike sounds like a bit of heaven! I haven't read a good book in a long time. I am still working my way through rereading Harry Potter for now. I asked MIL for Michelle Obama's book for Christmas and am looking forward to that. But a good book to get 100% involved in... total dry spell.
Nope. Not enough hours in the day. Not even a little bit. Hope that you and your sister had a wonderful visit together.

Rae- hope that the vax and abx don't make you feel too yucky. Don't got get your probiotics :)

*waves hi to jean* Hope the webinar was informative and helpful!

Stacey- How did Dory do the second night with you? Is she a snuggler? I hope that she starts eating better for you and that the barking/whining eases up as well. My dogs have been going bonkers with the barking. A lot of it is the garage of UPS/Fed Ex trucks on the street. But yesterday we saw a cat on our patio which makes sense since they have been trying to get over there to sniff every time we take them out. By the end of the day, my head is pounding with the noise. (but it is all worth it).
What is their reasoning about not letting her see other people and dogs? A liability issue maybe? Enjoy the weekend with her!!

good morning - yesterday was busy - I ordered calendars from Shutterfly and I was tracking and noticed that they sent the calendars to the post office next to my town and could not understand why then I realized that they sent them to my birding friend when he texted me to ask why he got six calendars. Well I just assumed that the billing address is the default address for shipping. Well now I know. So yesterday I went over and got the rest. OMgosh I love how they turned out. I am so so happy. It is always fun to catch up. Then I also had my pre-surgery meeting for my knee replacement. She was so nice. And wow they do it so differently than I thought. I have to have an EKG, blood work, and chest X-ray. I have to take antibiotics before going to the dentist or other procedures that might cause cuts. I will be setting off the medal detectors from then on. But they give you are card that explains this. Then the hospital requires you attend a class on knee replacement so you and your DH understand what will happen. But they are happy that I am doing the aqua therapy as they feel you really do need to do some exercise before the surgery. And the pain control is no longer done with opioids so that is awesome. I am in pain and I figure this is the pits but after the surgery even if pain I know it should be a recovery pain. Got a lot of scrapping done. Thanks for comments. Luther is at doggie day care. I have a Devils game tonight. First in a long time. They are playing Vegas so that should be fun.

Chris love the gift for Arlene. You are so good at these types of gifts. I am always so impressed by those that can make their own. Congrats on all the baking. I went to the store yesterday and forgot to get sugar so no baking in our family. The new lady rats sound too cute. Glad you are all having such fun! Hope the delayed shopping goes well. We got flurries but nothing stuck. Did you get a lot of snow?

Kay wow you are up early again. Sounds like PSE will not be too different but I know when ever they update Photoshop CC I have to reset stuff and remember again. Sorry about the pain. Hope your daughter did a great time with shoulder rub.

Trudy just shows that you know your weather and were smart to bring the rain gear. Your long soak is awesome. Hope you are warmer today!

Rae good luck with Vax and Abx. loved all the photos of Taz on Facebook. you are a great close up photographer!

Jean I guess I did not think that maps would be that important but duh of course they are. Hope you learned a lot!

Stacey have fun with Dory!

Have a great day all!

Hello girls, I'll try to catch up everything that happens to you in combination from my notes from yesterday and the day before. I'm busy with work. And also enjoying my time with my sister. I trying also to to catch up with all scraping.
Hugs and kisses!

Chris, I'm so happy my ideas was helpful! Also Arlene's gift is so pretty!

Nancy, oh, so the surgery will have to be done?! Sorry to hear that! I was hoping that therapy will be enough! Great that your calendars are as you expected, and they wasn't lost but go to friend. At least this gives you reason to meet him and make one nice visit.

Rae, hugs and positive vibes for B! I hope you'll be able to find one of these therapist which nurse patients at their home. Definitely your extra bit of money is worth it, especially in this situation. Sorry to hear about the antibiotics! Is that mean you feels worse?!

Zanthia, keep up us updated please, I'm very curious what will happen! Sounds like Dory quick is found the way to your heart. Did you tried the training trick with a Shake Can?!

Kay, I'm sorry to hear for your health condition! I guess the stress and sorrow makes it worse reacting directly on your body. Great that your daughter helps you! Did she live with you?! I've been telling here before that in my country (actually not in the whole country, but in big part of the towns) women have to live with their parents before marriage, and with their ILs after it, till men lives whith his parents, so to have who to care and suport them. But I know that in US tradition is child to live separate, when become adult.

Trudy. it's from the weather! The lack of sun makes people feel tired and depressed. Chris, was told me for lamps that helps, but actually I never found one on good price here. It's better that in your case you fels only fatigue, and I hope the clean air and some exercise to fix that. I hope that the hike took place!
Actually vinyls are back on trend and I have few friends that collect them. Even the new albums of rock bands this year comes on vinyl too. Oh, my sister was in Germany to visit of her friends. She didn't bring as much photos as I hoped, but will allows me to scrap at least some of them. So bad about the rain, but clever that you are been prepared! Have fun with your sister! Do you plan to bake with all these eggs?

Jean, it is fun when new people join to the genealogy group. Hope they'll stay! Oh, always is pleasure to read your 52 pages, that is why I prefer to wait, but not to do it hastily or superficially. Yes the little poinsettia entertains me a lot since the first pages where was just a twig. Was it the webinar about maps helpful?

Hope we soon will hear news from Angela, I'm curious how her girl doing on the camp!

Well, I made up for the last few days of waking early... I didn't wake up until 8 AM today! But then again, I read until midnight last night! LOL The shoulder is definitely better today. I think I discovered what caused the whole thing... yesterday when I was on the computer, I leaned forward and rested my left arm on the top of the computer desk... Ouch!! It lifted my arm/shoulder at an odd angle which put pressure on the shoulder/neck. Realized that I have been doing that a lot when working. So have to be careful to not do that any more. I will actually get out of my PJs today. Have to run to the library to pick up a couple of books that are on hold for me. Don't think I am up to driving over to the base today for meds and grocery shopping... so will wait until next week for that.

Yes, it is a PITA to have to find and reload my favorite styles and actions into the PSE2019. I know I have them... it is just a matter or where they are stored on the computer. Chris, I have been digi-scrapping for about 12 years now so I am experienced. I started with PrintShop/My Memories then moved to PSE 10 and upgraded several times now. But there is still a lot to learn. Thanks for showing the photo of the gift... love it. You are very creative. So sorry you are dealing with Lyme's. Hope you get to feeling better.

Nancy, glad that the doctor's think the Aqua therapy is helping. Great that they have classes to get you prepared for the knee replacement. My mom went through it and I was her caretaker. She was in her 70's and did very well. Yes, the healing pain is so much better than the constant pain before the surgery. <<< hugs >>>

Felis, I live alone in my home now that my hubby is gone. My daughters have their own families and live in their own homes. The oldest one lives less than a mile from me - so can run over to help when I need it. Here in the US, most children move out on their own when they are adults. Glad you are enjoying the visit with your sister.

Have got to close this out and get my shower so I can get my errands run.

Morning ladies... It was another busy day for me yesterday! I got a lot accomplished and also had a nice visit with my sister! She stayed and had lunch with me, I cooked us both a nice omelet and we enjoyed talking and catching up! She is a busy grandma, raising her granddaughter Bellla and is always on the go. Especially with all the Christmas happenings in Bella's school etc. I can't imagine raising my grands, as much as I love them, it would be exhausting! Cutos to all those Grandparents out there that have to care for their their grandkids!! Of course if I had to, I know I would! Still working on a page for the 12 Days challenges and struggling a bit with it, but hopefully this morning I will finish it off. Had a facetime chat with Heather and the boys yesterday, Mason was home from school with a sore throat, so hopefully he does not pass it on to everyone else! It never ends with sickness for them, but such is the life when you have kids in Kindergarten! Later this morning I need to get some bloodwork done, thank goodness I do not need to fast for it, so I can enjoy my coffee this morning!

Chris - Your gift for Arlene is simply amazing!! What a talent your are!! She will love it for sure! Hope we get to see the centre pieces as well! Sounds like you have everything under control and will be all set for the big day! I hope that you get that book that you want, I have heard a lot of wonderful things about it! I will have to see if I can download it after Christmas from the Kobo Book site. Hope you manage to get the rest of your shopping done today. I need to hit a few stores today after I get my bloodwork done and finish off getting a few stocking stuffer items. DH hasn't even started his shopping yet, so perhaps he will get to it this weekend. Love the stories about the rats and of course Cait is feeling mixed emotions right now, it is totally understandable! These new babies will never replace the old ones, but will be a gift of new love and memories for her!

Nancy - I see in the gallery that you have been a very busy scrapper!! I need to get out there and get some love to you! Glad to hear that the knee surgery will be happening for you and yes the therapy should help you heal much faster! Enjoy your hockey game tonight, I hope the Devils play well for you tonight! Yay on the calendars turning out for you, but funny that they went to the wrong address LOL. Enjoy your day!

Rae - Sorry you are so swamped with work! Hope your arm is not sore from your flu shot yesterday! Send me some of your yummy meatballs and meatloaf please, I am sick of making suppers!!

Jean - Hope your webinar went well and you learned a lot about genealogy maps!

Zanthia - Ugh on the barking for your first day with Dory, hopefully you will be able to correct that! Also hope that she gets a better appetite soon, I am sure it is stressful for her to have all this newness to her life! Nice that she slept with you though, hope you got lots of puppy cuddles in!

Felis - How nice to be enjoying your sister's company again! Sorry that you are also so busy with work! But I guess you have to work to get paid right!! Glad you will be catching up on your scrapping soon I look forward to seeing your pages. I need to get caught up too!

Kay - Hooray for waking up at 8am!! I wondered if your shoulder pain might be from sitting at your computer? I know that I get a lot of headaches from sitting at my desk because I am a jaw clencher, I don't even know that I am doing it until the headache happens and so now I have a mouth guard that I must use to keep from doing it! Hope you find your Actions folder on your computer, it should be in your Applications folder under Adobe Photoshop and then presets, that is if you use a Mac. Not sure if it would be much different on a PC??

Well I suppose I should get my dishwasher emptied and make my bed, have a shower and be ready to go to the lab before DD facetimes with me this morning. Have a great Friday everyone and I hope you all do something that makes you smile today!

Good morning ladies. I'm working this morning and then off at lunchtime to the organic butcher to take advantage of a buy 3 get 2 free deal for ground beef. I love when they have that sale b/c it makes it the same price as the supermarket but its much better quality and grassfed beef. I need to reorganize my freezers after Xmas sometime as I've got them almost full and need to sort things out.

My arm was killing me last night from the flu shot but I was expecting it so no big deal. Started the ABX and one of them tastes really awful. This morning my stomach is a bit yucky but I'm going to have yogurt each morning and take my digestive enzymes every night so hopefully that will keep the stomach issues to a minimum. I hate that although ABX kills off the bad bacteria it also kills off the good bacteria too.

Tonight I'll be making muffins and want to snuggle in my chair for some quiet tv time. Want to catch up on The Good Doctor.

Chris - you are just amazingly crafty! So cute about W getting glittery LOL. Hope shopping goes well today.

Trudy - sounds like a lovely visit with your sister. I'm always jealous of others with siblings as I'm an only child.

Felis - sounds like a happy time having your sister back and finding some time for scrapping. Enjoy it! I'm taking ABX but am feeling somewhat better, thx for asking.

Kay - I agree, it is always a PITA to reload the styles/actions but how exciting to play with an updated program! Enjoy it.

Hope everyone is well and enjoys their day. I'm grabbing another coffee and getting to work now.

Really glad I took in that webinar. The speaker has some really good ideas and some sites or uses I hadn't thought of. I immediately made use of one of the ideas. This morning DH did his bird survey but it was pretty quiet though pretty nice out. In a bit we're going to the natural history museum where we are expecting something special. I'm very much behind though on getting holiday stuff done and will need to somehow get that going.

Chris, yes you got a lot done! The photo "tree" is so special. I know all your gifts will be. Good luck with today's shopping. Poor Cait having to deal with her all too natural mixed feelings. But these little gals sound like just the types to win her quickly.

Nancy, on the one hand, sorry it's going to come to a knee replacement, but then you will not have that constant pain. Good to know the therapy will help with recovery. Have fun with the Devils game. Are you doing the Christmas Bird Count? DH has us retired after doing 45 years. My knee (and other knee and ankles...) aren't up to that much walking and his back will only do so much too. It's disconcerting to have reached this point.

Felis, glad you are enjoying having your sister back. Too bad there aren't more photos but hopefully that means she was just enjoying her time. I look forward to seeing the LOs with some of them.

Kay, learning what led to the shoulder problem was a good thing! Now if you can just stop yourself from doing that. Nice that you feel enough better to run some errands, but not push it either.

Trudy, you are a busy lady, so adding raising grands would really make one frantic. Hope in fact DD and her family don't catch the sore throat. Never want to be sick, but especially not at the holidays.

Rae, hope the abx do the job and your stomach stays in control with the help you're giving it. That sale on the really good meat sounds wonderful and just what you like.
