Can we please pretend that November has 31 days? Pretty please?
But I guess I have no choice but to flip that calendar, eh? November was an absolute blur for me, how about for you?

My day was kind of a mixed bag. I got the carpets steam cleaned and they look great. But W had two more accidents, one in my BR and one in the kitchen. I have been taking her out so often. I wondered if she had a UTI maybe, but she is peeing normally- as in no straining and no blood. She is on abx from her upset stomach last week so I honestly have no idea what is up. If this is a bit of regressing, I would have thought it to be over by now.
I went to the FP but the pastor was int he storeroom so the woman who usually fills up my bags couldn't give me that much so I only came home with 2 bags instead of my 3-4. My order wasn't ready to be picked at Walgreen's yet-- but at least I had checked before I went. I made the dog treats and Gary took pics of the two dog treat hangers (like the one I showed the pics of for ideas-- he made 2!) filled with them.
I was trying to follow along a bit on the voting of the Tax Bill that is screeching through the Senate. Looked like it was going to pass, but then at the last minute they held off the vote so maybe if enough people contact their Senators it would pass? *hopeful* Unless you are a millionaire or a corporation, this bill stinks!

Today I am cleaning the house-- just downstairs today. I think that is it-- that is *enough* hahaha!!!

Wishing you all a very happy day!

Good much to early morning ladies... Yes I am awake at 4:15 am WTH?? I have been tossing and turning for the past couple of hours and thought I may as well be up and doing something. So here I am. I thought after commenting here I will finish off the page I was working on for the AnnaLift. It is in the final hours so hope I can get it finished and loaded to the gallery soon. I go to get my hair cut and colour this afternoon, so looking forward to that, but I better try to sneak in a nap sometime or I will be falling asleep in the chair LOL. How can I have such a good nights sleep one night and the next is a disaster? Oh well it is what it is.

Chris - Yes November was just a blur for me too. I can't believe that I have to change the calendar to its final page for this year. Where did the time go? How nice to have the carpets all nice and clean and smelling fresh for your open house! Sorry that you are still having to deal with accidents from W though, I wonder what is up with that? Perhaps just an attention thing? Who knows?? :noidea: I will have to check out your Facebook page for your latest treats etc. I bet your sale is a big hit and that you do very well with it! Like I said before, I wish I lived closer to you I would certainly be there! Yes cleaning the downstairs of your house is quite enough for you do today! Enjoy the day my friend!

Jean - Hope that your luncheon was fun and that you took lots of photos! Yes I was baking again yesterday and got another batch of shortbread done and the Naniamo Bars that my DD loves so much. She has requested a few other squares also, so I will have to go on a search for my recipes today. I can totally relate to having to take a break from your book, sometimes we just need to step away and clear our heads for a bit! Yes my DH was very happy with his Bruins latest win!

Rae - When you mentioned that your DH was making Jam Jams it brought back a flood of memories of when my Mother used to make those for us. So delicious, but then everything that my Mom made was so delicious LOL. I often wonder how she ever managed to do all that she did at Christmas with 7 children to feed, Oh how I miss her!! Hoping that your Friday will be a bit less busy for you and that you get to do your beautiful scrapping today!

Nancy - Hope you and Luther are enjoying a lovely walk this morning, I am sure that your day will be filled with Hockey and scrapping.

Felis - Is the sun shining again for your today! Do you still have :smow:

Ok I am off to finish my layout and will pop in here again later on to see what you have all been up to.

I guess I also need to do Oscraps CT work too- esp since I never put the finishing touches on the Challenge yesterday. Whoops.

Felis- I totally understand putting things off until the last minute. Before we all got sick, I was on top of everything, now I seem to be like a leaf floating in the breeze. No debt, healthy meals, a clean house. All gone ;)
I have it on good authority that Buddy the O'Elf is packing up his things at the North Pole to get ready for his stay here at the O. We all can't wait! I am thinking that now that the bulk of the Open House things are done, I can get into the Christmas Spirit too.

I think that is a big part of W's issues, that she needs to learn how to be a good dog. R was weirdly easy to train, even though we got her when she was 6 months old. H-- my first rescue-- oh, she was bananas. Love her still to pieces but she had horrible separation anxiety, pooped and peed everywhere, ate my sofa- the whole deal. We got J when she was 3 months so we got her early enough that there weren't any bad habits. This little peanut of ours-- it will take longer. and it is had barely been three months since we adopted her and there are 7 months of previous stray dog life to contend with.
we will keep an eye on her and see if things get better once we are more focused on her again. Thanks for the advice :)

Trudy- mmm, bet your house smelled great with all of your baking. What bar cookies do you make, I have recipes for Magic Bars, Choc Pecan Pie Bars, lemon cheesecake bars, Peanut Butter Brownies- LMK if you need anything like that.
I am like you too- I love lots of lights. Scott is in charge of that part of our tree decorating, he is much calmer about that than I am LOL
Hope that your arm isn't hurting today. I guess one "good" thing about Lyme is no flu shot for me since I am already immune compromised so it isn't recommended.

Jean- how was the museum? I adore museums and love the AMNH in the City. I also love the Met but it has been years and years since I have been there. Do you have a favorite exhibit?

Rae- That is great that you are back to your normal-busy schedule. And to be able to scrap too- yeah!!
How did the pork tenderloin come out? With ya on the food/meal rut too. I hope I can get out of that here quickly.
I am almost done-- there are a few more things that I want to make but I don't know if I have the time. But it is all good since no one is going to show up anyway heh!

Hugs and happy Friday to all of you!

good morning - I am still in shock and mourning as my favorite NJ Devils player Adam Henrique was traded to the Anaheim Ducks. I had just finished telling my sister on our weekly phone call about the Rico Soiree and how much fun we had when I received an NHL update saying he was traded. I hate the phrase you have to give up some one good to get a good player back. I find it hard to believe that we really needed a defenseman like Sami Vatanen. Yes we have a surplus of forwards but some one always gets hurt so why go and give up a player like Henrique. It is a shame that since the new management came in there are only 2 players left from the 2012 Stanley Cup Final team. I know it is a business but it is the fans that pay too. Everyone says it is an upgrade but me LOL. I am now so glad we got to attend so many of Henrique's events. Today my team is in CO and Sami is scheduled to play so I will see. Now I will watch the Duck games and tonight they play in Columbus so that too will be fun to watch. I hope Henrique becomes their leading scorer. Luther and I did have a nice walk and today he is at doggie day care. I have errands and bills to pay so it is good to have him busy. Yesterday he was pretty needy as was I. LOL. After having the boys home 4 days over Thanksgiving I know he was needing some doggie time.

Chris that is so bad about Whisky having so many accidents. That cannot be fun! Congrats on all the products being done and cleaning the carpets! We have not started decorating as I am not sure where we will put a tree as the house with Luther seems so small. LOL. I can't imagine how you do it with three.

Trudy you are up early. I think the older one gets the weirder sleep gets. You just enjoy a good sleep and when restless read or get up. I bet you are so focused on the upcoming visit that maybe your brain just does not want to slow down to sleep so soundly. Love all the baking you are doing. If I bake I will eat so can't be done as I have no one to share with.

Waving to Jean, Rae and Felis.

Have a great day!

Good morning, ladies. Had a lazy morning, finishing my book (even though it wasn't that good, I just had to skim thru and see what the ending was). Used my new Xmas mug from Pier One this morning. I love using a Xmas mug on Dec 1st to start off the season. Took a few pics of it so can do a scrap page about it. Tonight we'll start pulling out some Xmas stuff and tomorrow I will organize and sort thru it. Sunday morning Jen & I are going to Costco and then will spend the afternoon putting up the tree. Bailey might also come to help, I hope so, we haven't seen her in 2 mths, as she's going thru a bad spell and not communicating with us right now. Tomorrow the guy from the Brick comes to see if he can fix D's chair. Warranty I think is until Feb so we need to know if its fixable or he'll get a new one. I don't understand how such an expensive chair can be such a piece of crap...ugh. Anyway, fingers crossed it goes well.

Chris - got a CT page done for your wonderful Dec challenge. I didn't realize I hadn't even scrapped a page in Nov except for the collab, until this morning when I went to update the tracking thread. Jeez....I guess I was really busy for the month. Never made the tenderloin last night b/c D called at lunch time to say his boss scheduled a work mtg for the afternoon/evening. They all filled up on appies so he didn't need to have dinner. I'll make it tonight instead.

Nancy - that sucks about losing a player you liked so much. Enjoy the game tonight and I'm sure Luther is loving it at daycare right now. It's funny how I never thought to bring my dogs to a daycare before, Taz is my first dog to go. I just never realized how beneficial it is to them to have that special time to bond with other dogs and learn how to deal with a large pack mentality. I always thought a dog park was good enough but it is a different kind of interaction. A daycare isn't necessary but when you only have one dog I think it's a great thing to do for them. Luther is lucky to have you as his doggie mom.

Trudy - looks like sunshine is coming soon....for days (unless our weather changes which it often does LOL). Have fun getting your hair done later. I was up just before you this morning (Taz wanted to go out) but I was able to fall back asleep. It's weird that he is needing to go out so often now at night. As if I need something else to keep me awake LOL. Oh well...the joys of getting old...sleep problems unfortunately is so common. I can't even remember what it was like to sleep thru the night, its been so many years now.

Jean, Felis and everyone else....hope all is well.

I'm getting another coffee, getting to work and will pop out later this afternoon for groceries (whatever I need for our tenderloin dinner tonight). Other than that, I'm looking forward to staying indoors today and hopefully scrap a page later.

Have a great day, everyone.

The lunch was lovely and met a nice couple at our table. After it was raining so we didn't go out in the wildlife area even though they provided umbrellas. But Lance (Lancelot) the porcupine was on hand indoors to get our oohs and ahs. We first saw him when he was little. He is very biddable as he loves his treats. Rumor is a lady porcupine is coming soon. But I didn't do any writing on the book. Did organize material going into it and designed the title page. I am not going to be in the holiday spirit or scrapping much until it's done!!! Tomorrow morning is a genealogy meeting followed by a potluck so that day will partly be shot too. So, better get at it today.

Chris, sounds like you are nearly there. Cleaning downstairs (and worrying over W) should be more than enough. I love your B&W challenge and its rat page. And your She Persisted page is also fantastic!! I was really thinking about that as she was recently on the Late Show.

Trudy, hope you went back to bed, or at least got a nap. Way too early. I know the hair cut/color always perks you up, so that will be good. Goodness, all that baking! It makes me happy for your family, but a bit sad for me as all those things are on my do not eat list, so never bake any more (though will undoubtedly get some tomorrow at the pot luck, bad me.) Wishing you better sleeps to come.

Nancy, I totally relate on the trading issue. For me it has always been about the Indians and over the decades there have been some horror stories. Sure hope this move actually works to their advantage. Sometimes they do. How nice to have gotten in a good walk with Luther and then off to doggie day care for him. Hope you're over

Rae, how funny you hadn't noticed your super busy schedule impacted your scrapping. Hope you get to do the pork roast tonight. I find we prefer it roasted and it still doesn't take that long for a small one.

Felis, hope today was kind to you.
