3 cups of coffee down and I am still exhausted. I can't even say TGIF, because what does that even mean???? Bwuahahaha!!

The good news is that my car is all fixed up. I LOVE our new mechanic. He checked it all out, and saw that the last time my brakes were done, (not by him) some support cables/brackets had broken or cut and they left them there. It wasn't my suspension, but something very minor. Car is ready for the road trip :car:
Me-- on the other hand- am not. For whatever reason, my kids have been non-stop bickering and super-critical/attitude-y with each other. I had it out with Cait this morning about it and if they are going to be like this, i don't want to go to PA, and be stuck in the house with them fighting.

The other "good"???? news is that Cait's ultrasound was normal and her blood work showed an old mono exposure but not anything new. While I am thrilled that she isn't actively sick, I have no idea of what is going on.

Allergist group also is certified in immunology, so maybe they will have some ideas of what is up. None of this makes sense. She was the one who during Lyme treatment was relatively asymptomatic. Why all of the issues now?

Today isn't going to be much more fun. We have mice, and not the kind that Caitlyn would like to keep in her room. Hello, Cats?? What is up with that? I don't need you to kill them, just scare them off, ok?
My morning activity is going to be taking every darn thing out of my cabinets and cleaning the kitchen top down. Then I will hazmat-shower myself and will be in much need of a break in the sun. heading to the lake for a while in the afternoon with BFFATS. Too bad there isn'tt a pool boy with pina coladas...

PS: If you haven't seen, we have a whole bunch of birthdays here in the past several days. Vera has been posting them in this forum :)

Have a wonderful Friday! Send me some vibes to keep me sane

Nancy- even though it has been freezing in the mornings, the sun has been so nice in the afternoons the last few days, hasn't it?
BTW- the actor from Eureka doesn't show up until the end of Haven, I got it all mixed up in my head LOL
I was able to get an insurance plan for me and Scott with no referrals, which is worth it! Cait and Gary need one for everyone they go to. Thankfully, the GP is right around the corner, so it isn't too difficult to get them, just more of a PITA to always be on the phone requesting them.
Luther must be loving the weather too. Jaida's energy levels are coming back too, and on our walk yesterday she really was tying to get up to a trot. Then I noticed she was trotting on the three good legs so that doesn't count as her PT. Crazy girl.

Rae- whew for a lighter work load for you, you have really been burning that candle. Taz must have slept like a rock last night. How fun that he came home happy but tired.
Ugh about the coyotes, they are way more of an issue than our bears are, IMHO. Although my neighbor called us yesterday while I was out int he garden, that a big bear was coming up between out houses and to be alert.

jean- was your friend able to help you with your draft? Caitlyn always has a hard time keeping essays and such within the word count limit. She can go on and on when writing. All relevant, but would need to pare it down. I think that is harder than trying to fill up a page in some ways.
Hope the AC was on and kept you cool.
Peaceful???? What the heck is *that?* :pound:

here is to a peaceful day for all of you!

good morning! Got Luther out for his walk and now he is down in the basement chilling. we met a cute dog Sprout and they played for awhile. It was fun to see them. Luckily no rabbits or deer. But he did see a cat and boy he does not like them and started barking. He is funny he stalks the rabbits and squirrels and does not bark but cats set him off. I am pretty sure he and our cat will never be friends LOL. I will be off soon to get hair cut and color. Yea! Then I need to get new tennis shoes. They have done a lot of walking! Then to stop at the pet store for something for Luther. He has been really good with no chewing. Got more scrapping done and I am liking it so far. No plans for the rest of the day. I will watch the Opening Ceremony for the Olympics.

Chris glad the car is now in tip top shape. Maybe the kids need a vacation too so their bickering is a sign they need time. Sorry about the mice. With Luther and Shadow we have not had pest in ages. Glad the blood and lab work came out so positive but bummer still no answer. Have a good trip!

Rae so glad that you work load is slowing down. Taz sounds so cute after his day at doggie day care. Tired but happy. Luther has his meet and greet later this month. I am going to need it as we are heading to the US Open and that is a long long day. Wow coyotes and bears. I think I am living in the wild with deer, fox, rabbits and squirrels. LOL

Jean hope the draft turned out well. Hope the weather is good. Here in NJ the weather has been awesome for the past few days.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. Looks like a couple of warm sunny days ahead so it'll be nice to get out walking with Taz and enjoy a few days at the trailer. I've got lots of little things to do today plus get my work done early so we can hit the road and if we are able to leave a bit early, we might pop into Bellingham for Taz's food, return a birthday gift and get groceries for the weekend. I'd love to do that so we don't have to go into town tomorrow morning. I'm leaving it up to my hubs though b/c if he has a busy work day, he won't want to go shopping so we'll leave it til tomorrow morning. Looking forward to watch a few more episodes of Homeland this weekend. We're on the current season now.

Chris - with or without a diagnosis, hopefully Cait will be on the mend. Enjoy your afternoon with your friend, sounds fun. Good thing nothing big was going on with the car.

Nancy - Taz wants to be friends with everything but not cats. He chases and howls after them. He won't do anything to them, he just barks and doesn't want them on our property. They tease him, walking by the house and sitting in the yard LOL.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Sorry I'm late today. Had a good session at the historical society and found a historical tidbit I'd missed in one of the books there. My friend hasn't gotten through the article yet, so we'll see. Got too hot for me today, but while in the A/C it rained and it's supposed to be a mostly sunny, cooler weekend. Sure hope.

Chris, I'm sure you had a good break with your friend. Well, the car is ready and hopefully the kids. Enjoy the time in PA. Even if it isn't peaceful!

Nancy, walking your shoes out it sounds. We'll probably be watching opening ceremonies too. Somehow my enthusiasm for these games really hasn't kicked in yet.

Rae, your weekend sounds like a welcome respite. Hope it's great.
