Am I allowed to cry a bit over the last day of August? I have to remind myself that the last several years, the weather has been nicer in September (and occasionally in October) than it had been in May/June. I have pictured of being down the shore in Oct the last few years. Last year, I even got a bit of sunburn.
I walked and walked so much yesterday. Caitlyn couldn't stop thanking me for going to her school with her and figuring out how to get from each class to the next. Many of the buildings are connected so you don't have to go outside but it isn't always easy to figure out how as we learned the hard way. She has one class in a building with 5 floors and her class is on the third. She has her next class in a different building but it is connected only on the second floor but the class itself is on the first. We had ourselves so turned around. haha!!! The campus is really pretty and Cait was thrilled to see some groundhugs. (I misspelled that but I am leaving the typo because I was teasing her that I was going to have to check her bookbag for any "strays" she might try to hug and smuggle home)
Then I was home, off to clean, shower, cook dinner and then we walked over to the ice cream shop. So nice that we are still doing back to school ice creams after so many years.

Today, I am getting my hair cut and colored-- finally! Then I am going to have to put some more of the boxes back into the attic and do some housework. (boooo!)

Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Nancy- you must have had a nice few days getting lots of scrapping and tennis watching done. That stinks about the lawn mower, BTDT 2 weeks ago. Pfft. Enjoy the day, hope you are able to get a nice walk with Luther before the rain starts.

Felis- How I wish I knew how to help with the Challenge issues. :(
Thank you so much for understanding how difficult the decision to end a pet's life is. It is never easy...

 to everyone!

good morning - well it rained just as the boys were going to work and as my DH was taking Luther to doggie daycare. It is just cloudy now but might be more rain later. I made really tasty hamburgers last night for dinner. Again no left overs. Did watch more tennis and got more pages scrapped. It really is fun to relive those days. Had a good talk with my girlfriend from South Carolina. We are talking of taking a trip together next summer. Very exciting.

Chris sounds like a fun day. I think it must be exciting to see where Cait is going to school. That is funny about the groundhogs. And ice cream to finish the day! awesome. I too am getting my hair cut and colored and I cant wait. Last time I went it was a cloudy day too! I really cant believe this is the last day of Aug. Where did the summer go? My boys are happy to have the 3 days off.

Felis I don't know what to say about the challenges. You should just scrap them and put the pages in your members gallery. If you are not caring about the points then just say on your page the challenge inspired you but you are not competing. Scrapping is all about having fun and remembering moments in our lives. That is interesting you have divided your lawn up. Glad you are helping your mom that is sweet.

Waving to all! Have a great day!

Morning ladies... I'm Back!! I was home on the 29th but was really tired and cranky so I thought it would be better to get some rest and get over the time change before I started posting here. No one wants to listen to a cranky, tired Grandma!! :rollpin: So nice to be home in my own bed, but the silence is deafening!! I miss the sweet hugs and kisses and cuddles, even my oldest grandson Isaac is still filled with lots of cuddles (so nice) Oh well I will adjust to my quiet life again and hopefully it won't be too long before I see everyone again! It is a beautiful morning here and thankfully the smoke from the over 500 wildfires in B.C. has cleared up and the air smells good again. I need to see the doctor soon as my ankle is really bothering me and I am wondering if perhaps I did more than just sprain it while I was in Paris (fell down the stairs) I also have tendinitis that has flared up because of all the packing Hunter around and helping DD to get around too. I developed tendinitis when I was helping Heather walk when she was first sick, but man it really is really hurting this time. Not sure what can be done for that though. Any thoughts?? I have so many pictures to go through now and l am looking forward to getting my trips put down on many layouts, the trouble is ... where do I start?? LOL

Chris - It is so very sad that the last day of August has arrived! I was saying to my Gary that I feel like I totally missed summer! I would love to spend a couple of days just lying on the beach at the In-Laws, but the temps have cooled down and I don't know that its warm enough to lay around in my bathing suit? My Gary put me to work yesterday cleaning up the backyard and it was a lot of work, but now it looks all nice and tidy again. However the plants have really suffered with the lack of rain, I really poured the water to everything and they have perked up a bit, but they sure need a few days of steady rainfall, just like the rest of the province does. We all know that the rains will come, its just a matter of when. How nice that you and Cait spent the day together figuring out the campus etc! Ice cream at the end of the day was the perfect thing to do! I laughed at the ground hog story, yes it would be something that Caitlyn would do LOL. I hope that you get to spend some more time at the beach also and enjoy getting your hair done! Horray for you!!

Nancy - Getting your hair done today also, sounds like a nice time for you! I love it when I get mine done also! Yes three days off for the working guys is great! DH took Wed/Thurs off to get me from the airport and spend some time together, I think he really missed me as the house was clean and he bought me a bouquet of flowers (something he never does) LOL I think that he was really looking forward to good meal again too. I hope that the rain stops for you soon, you could send it my way please!!

Felis - I am so sorry about the challenge thing!! I told Flor that your page did meet the requirements and to not send you the email, but I guess I was a bit too late in sending the message. Please do not stop posting in the challenges, please put your links back to the tracking thread and reap the benefits of a discount coupon. I am so sorry for the mix up! I totally agree with Nancy and scrapping should be done for your own pleasure and it should be fun, but if your page can get you a discount then horray for you, but don't stress over it! This was a unfortunate mix up and I hope that you can forgive us!

Ok ladies I have much to catch up on and lots of scrapping to get started, so I better get going on it! Have a wonderful friday and I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful pages!

Good morning, ladies. Just popping in to say hi quickly. Busy day with work, have errands to run and need to get my inspirations challenge done. I've had no spare time this wk at all. D is leaving for the trailer soon and Jen and I will go up this afternoon. We are all looking forward to a few days away and then will be back Sun morning to go spend the afternoon with B.

I'll chat more tomorrow when I am out at the trailer (before or after our shopping in town).

Trudy - welcome back!!!! Missed you.

Gotta go but will chat more tomorrow. Have a great day, everyone.

Yesterday I had the tooth out and didn't feel chatty. Today is better and I was treated while eating breakfast to a visit by a young Cooper's Hawk sitting just outside the window on top of our pyracantha. It was looking for the house sparrows probably hiding inside the bush. It kept looking around, then moved around the top of it and finally darted away. DH was off doing his bird survey but now is home. Some migrants there, but not as many as he hoped. Also had jets of the Blue Angels coming over as they were practicing for this weekend's air show. We love seeing them!

Felis, please listen to Trudy about the challenges. I know you are frustrated by the situation, but there is no reason for you to miss out either. Especially wish you'd had a better name day.

Chris, how did you manage all that walking? Sounds like yesterday was really good for you and Cait. But a real groundhog is way too big (and NOT very friendly) for her to stash in a tote bag. You have all our support for the days ahead with Clover however they play out.

Nancy, today sounds good and lots to do over the weekend I bet. Where are you and your friend thinking of going? Any trip would be cool.

Trudy! Welcome back. Your Gary was not the only one missing you. How nice he made such special efforts to show it. Scrapping all those photos will be a challenge. Maybe start either at the beginning or the end and work through time? Sorry about the ankle and tendinitis so please see a doctor soon.

Rae, have a great time at the trailer!

Oh, Trudy, no need of excuses! It's not matter to one page, but this was about almost every second page I did. Chris, repeats me that this is new for everybody and I give some time to try without to collect points, but this pressure continued.

I don't need some kind of gestapo to tells me how bad I'm translated the rules and how my art don't fit to their template.

All these red words for "fairness to all members" are far away from my idea for fun.
But as I said I'll finish my 52 project, so don't worry it's not a big deal, I'll still be around but no so engaged, I just can't allow to be put in cage.

By the way I was sure you have great time with the kids! But How Stormy accept the changes?

 to you all girls!
