Well, it is finally here-- our Annual Redneck Vacation..... We are driving up in a few hours and I'll be home sometime on Monday. Me, my parents and 4 teenagers. Give me strength! And wine!!!

Get this though... I am not bringing my laptop or anything to scrap. Normally I will spend one morning out on the deck scrapping. But I have been so uninspired and so creatively blocked I decided to not bother. Maybe a little break from it all will be a good thing. This past few months has been the longest run of not being able to scrap that I have had in years. Its sad.....

So that is about it from me, for now.
Love and hugs!!

Chris, have the best time ever on your VaCa. i'm g.ad you're not going to try to scrap. just let yourself GO. produce nothing. Do nothing. drink wine. eat out. now THAT is a vacation!

Cinda, so glad you posted the photo. it started my day with a laugh. it helps, too, that your kitten looks just like my Meaty ManCat looked when he was little!

just made and canned more salsa. man, are we ever going to have to eat a LOT of Mexican this year. (not that i mind. i could eat tacos every day.) i think i have 15 pints. anyone have a recipe that uses a lot of salsa?

i turned off the AC this morning to let some fresh air into the house before i close it all up again. gonna be in the 90s, so definitely an AC day. i'm going outside in a minute to walk roundandround on my patio before the heat outside fires up. what then, i have no idea. i haven't been thinking about scrapping this week, while Anna's on vacation. back to the schedule next week. i have to think more about how to scrap a boring life....

happy HAPPY weekend. do something...for YOU!

Morning all!

I'm not sure what that sound is outside. Sounds like thunder and water falling from the sky............could it really be!!! With triple digit temps for so long we would love some water from the sky!!

Chris- Have a nice time away and enjoy the down time. You deserve to relax.

Phylis- I'll see if I have any salsa recipes. How about salsa, chips, and margaritas!! That's always a good combo!

I loved your raspberry bar recipe and have made that twice now.........so good!

I'm still cleaning and decluttering around here and that includes some reorganizing on the computer. Hopefully will get some pages done this weekend!

Today is hubby and mine 27th anniversary so out to dinner tonight.

Have a great Friday all and be sure to check out the new AnnaLift where we are celebrating some very impOrtant peOple!!

Hey Ladies, quickly popping in here as it is my early opening shift and I have got to get a move on. Family reunion this weekend so I will not be in here much over the next few days. Having a blast with the grandkids and will be doing lots of swimming and such at the Lake with them!! Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Good morning ladies. Sounds like I got here just in time to wave goodbye to Chris and Trudy! Hope that you both have great weekends.

Phylis, I LOVE your scrapping. So whatever you are doing with your boring life, keep commiting it to scrap pages!

Donna, I've been at Indian Point this week (on Table Rock Lake) and we have had rain twice. However, it hasn't amounted to much. Looks gray this morning so we will see.

Last day of vacation! What to do...

Trudy-have a great time enjoying your family! Bet you'll take lots of photos!!

Linda-Enjoy your time at Table Rock.............it's beautiful down there!

Donna, happy anniversary! i'm gonna have my 35th in a few weeks! and hope it rains on you. then send it over here! i like your salsa-eating idea. except i can't eat very many of the chips because of The Big D, and the "delivery system" for the salsa is key! and Margaritas are totally out for me. but wine will work!

Linda, thanks for your nice comment. i always struggle with where the next page is gonna come from....

Trudy, sounds like you're in for a lot of fun! enjoy those GrandPeople!
